Unforgettable movie torture scenes in Movies ·
Nicholas Chavez70 said:Payback(1999)

There’s that intense sequence in > where they tie Mel Gibson to a chair, completely barefoot, and then Kris Kristofferson starts interrogating him about his kidnapped son. Of course, he refuses to talk, so the mob torturer just goes to town, smashing his hammer down on his little toe with everything he's got... 😲 "9 more to go, tell me where my son is???" Gibson replies, "This little piggie stayed home," and then—bam—the next toe gets hit... 😲 Honestly, even watching it through a TV screen, I could feel the physical pain... 👎

I can’t quite recall the title of this one right now, but I believe the setting was the Middle East, involving a scene where Al-Qaeda members were using submachine guns on the knees and elbows of captured Americans... 😲

And here is an unexpected one, an oldie but a goodie 😁(only for those with nerves of steel, consider yourselves warned)... That controversial scene kicks off at the 5:00 mark, so don't come crying to me if you weren't cautioned... 👍

Ugh. 😁

They shouldn't have crushed him. It's just messed up cleaning up those tracks. 🙂
Is there anything like this in Chicago?

Man, whenever they start moving threads around...

I’m really going to miss all those posts like:
-I feel restless—is this an anxiety disorder or what?

-I’m feeling depressed—am I mentally ill?

-Is this a clinical disorder or am I just losing it?

2. Apparently, everything is being logged now. 🙄 Honestly, I might just excommunicate myself to avoid the paperwork. 🤷
3. With Rhonda's climax happening and all those waves hitting, I doubt she could plan anything remotely intelligent for my life anyway. ☕

🍿

My entire last post was just meant for a little fun, so I hope you didn't take it personally. 🙂

Rhonda's climax 😂
Maybe that's where she gets the energy to churn out these quasi-books. 🤔

I spend the whole day beating myself up, thinking, "God, you're an idiot, just pay attention and write things down." But honestly? So many times, one of those appointments just... disappears. Someone cancels on me out of nowhere, saving me from the guilt of having to bail, and I’m just sitting there feeling relieved.
Look, I believe in prayer, and you could say I'm a believer (even if I skip church more often than I should 😳). In those moments, I can't help but think, "There's someone up there managing a schedule for me that works way better than this messy notebook I use." And that’s despite the fact that my immediate thought isn't some zen realization—it's usually just "I'm so stupid." I don't think, "Oh, I hope they cancel," I mostly just scramble to figure out how to get out of the mess. My first instinct is rarely that "positive manifestation" stuff they talk about in the "secret"

It’s happened to me a million times. We are living the secret. 🙂

I didn't realize we were keeping track of who shows up and who doesn't now.
Don't rack up too many unexcused absences. You don't want to face excommunication. 😍

For example, my own experience when I was terrified of a specific situation and then it happened in real life exactly word-for-word how I imagined it. Or even a wish I had that came true perfectly, which I don't really want to get into here either.

They say the more specific the wish, the faster it happens. Like, I pictured someone saying a specific sentence, and then it actually happened just like that.

So, how would you explain that?

p.s. Ever since I stopped believing in coincidences and started noticing little signs and patterns, I see numbers like 111 or 222 almost every single day (your post was kind of symbolic too, maybe, since it was 1111). Or I'll be thinking about some random topic and then suddenly see an article about it in the news or on TV that same day. There was also this one time during an interview process. There was this show on, doesn't matter what, and my mom tells me, "Hey, that might be a question they ask you" (just general knowledge stuff). Then I get to the interview and the very first question is exactly what she predicted. Even with my boyfriend, we'll call each other at the exact same time or think the same thing.

So, what is all that? How do you make sense of it?

Maybe they're being paid to testify, or they have deals to split the book profits.

The only time anyone ever asked me for something... 🥳

It must be because of Rhonda Byrne's The Secret. ☕

And the authors pretty much guarantee their own success with The Secret by using themselves as examples. They wished to be wealthy, and we made that happen by buying all their books and DVDs...

I’ve been doing some deep dives into this lately, and I’ve even heard some people share stories about how, if you just want something bad enough—like, truly believe in it with everything you've got—and then just let go and trust the process, things magically fall into place. It's like you set the intention and then just step back and let the universe do its thing.
Has anyone else here actually experienced something like this??

Maybe. Personally, I've been trying to develop telekinesis for as long as I can remember, but nothing's happened yet. 🤷

Have you been reading Quote : The Secret? 🙂

p.s. don't get too hooked on Quote : The Secret

p.s.2 apparently there's a version for kids, too. 😂 😂 😂

At the very least, they’ve gotta be striving for perfection, even if we all know it's basically impossible to actually reach it.

Whether they put their faith in Yahweh, Allah, Manitou, nature... honestly, it doesn't matter which God they follow, what matters is that they are a true believer. And let's be real, every single faith comes with its own set of codes and incredibly high moral standards.

Exactly. The key word is "true."
I know people who identify as Nazis or extremists, yet they claim to be more devout than the Pope himself.🙄
Leo and Bridget in Movies ·
I caught a movie this past Sunday and it really stuck with me. At first, I wasn't quite sure what Mr. Leo actually did for a living, but once the clients started showing up, everything clicked. I also found the little hints of romance between them pretty charming. There’s just something about movies that don't give you a neat little ending. 🙂
I went in for skin graft surgery at Mayo Clinic when I was only four years old. I still remember the nurse asking if I wanted my anesthesia mask to smell like apricot or strawberry.
I tried to act all grown up and just said: strawberry. 🥳
Dog attack on a little girl in Law ·
I have a nice little "Beware of Dog" sign hanging right at my driveway entrance.

Anyone tried Aknemycin emulsion? in Health ·
placidraven22 said:My dermatologist recommended this Accutane (I actually thought it was a toner, so I didn't ask how to use it). She just mentioned last night that I should start using it. It was a struggle to find at the local pharmacy, but the instructions are only in German, which I don't really understand. If anyone has used this emulsion, I’d appreciate some info. How does it work? How do you apply it? Is it any good?

thanks

Same situation here. 😁
Nobody seems to be mentioning how to use it, what it's for, or the side effects...
It's frustrating when they write these damn instructions in German.😠
I was at my dermatologist's office in Chicago for a checkup a few days ago, and everything is fine, I just got a new schedule for my current meds. Now I'm applying a serious lotion for 10 minutes morning and night, then Skinoren in the morning, Derma, and finally this "black" Accutane at night...

If anyone actually knows the specifics on this stuff... 🙂 👋
What if you quote someone just to stack up more points from their own thread?
Say person A posts three different questions.
Then person B quotes the first question before answering, then moves to the second, and so on... 🤷
