Same here. I use Surevue and they're great. Honestly, I couldn't deal with yearly lenses. I lose mine all the time. Sometimes when I take them out, they just fly away. Then I'm spending the whole night on my knees in the bathroom trying to find them—and since I can't see nearly as well without lenses as I can with glasses, it's a nightmare. Usually, I just give up and put in a new pair.
Watched a movie this past Saturday. My old man came along, too. He actually bought his ticket right next to mine 🙄. Then he spots himself on screen—in one of those background shots, I think—and suddenly he’s beaming with pride. Just totally full of himself. And then? He starts bragging to all my friends about how great he looks on film. He even had the nerve to call us losers because things aren't what they used to be, saying there aren't any good gigs left like there were back when he was young. Who knows, I guess. 🙂

The Asterix and Obelix cartoons are terrible. They totally ruined the comics for me!!!! The Asterix comics are where it's at.

My name is actually Emma. 😁 Named after that song. Only difference is my parents were obsessed with classic rock.

Honestly, that record has more substance than any punk track out there. Punk is basically just mosh pits and nothing else. It's solid.

Man... I still haven't actually written my song. Less Than Jake - All My Best Friends Are Metalheads. It’s such a great little track, and they managed to fit everything in just three and a half minutes.

I have to admit, metal just isn't my thing. The classic stuff—like Metallica or Iron Maiden—is okay, I guess.
But Black metal, death metal (😛), and all that? It just doesn't click for me.
Yeah, I'm with you there. It’s just not for me either. Honestly, the hardest thing to wrap my head around are those songs about dragons breathing fire over cities, then some hero shows up to save everyone, blah blah blah... feels like someone read way too much Tolkien. Or there's that one track where the lyrics go "for the king / for the dwarves / for the mountains..." or something along those lines. Sure, let's go march into Mordor and save the world from Sauron.🙂
Cripple said:So, nobody mentioned Stairway to Heaven?? It’s over eight minutes long and would honestly suck if it were any shorter.
Or maybe Suck My Kiss by the Peppers? Absolute classic and clocks in at 8 minutes. What about Light My Fire? The best tracks are always the longest ones.🙏
Uh... this thread is specifically about short songs. 🙂
