After spending maybe five minutes convincing myself—and everyone else who was kind enough to listen—that I absolutely had to go see it, I realized I was wrong. It just didn't click for me. Honestly? I felt like I was suffocating from pure boredom. But hey, I’m a simple person—I actually thought Ocean's Twelve was pretty good.
Good grief, I haven't laughed this hard in forever! Samuel L. Jackson—man, what a ride. And those damn snakes! Especially when he finally snaps and drops that legendary line: "I have had it with these motherfuckin' snakes on this motherfuckin' plane." Then you've got that pseudo-pilot actually pulling off a smooth landing without a single spark flying everywhere—phew...
And don't even get me started on that song at the end—Cobra Starship, "Snakes on a Plane (Bring It)." 😍
Looking at this picture above (Samuel and the little snake)—it looks like he's trying to explain the species to some reptile expert. Something like, "It's brown, with green bits underneath."
I’m such a klutz—I honestly thought this was going to be a full-on Truman Capote biography, you know? Like, actually featuring him hanging out at Studio 54 and all that. But then... 🙂 Well, look, I couldn't focus for the first 45 minutes, but things definitely pick up after that. My biggest issue was just trying to follow what he was saying (which was most of the movie) because his voice and tone are so unique—plus, there was a ton of buzzing and crackling audio. Honestly, the only thing that really let me down was Capote himself. His pretentious little remarks just got on my nerves—was it just me?
Before diving into the movie, I actually read The Man Who Walked the Line—that biography by Steven Turner. Because of that, the film felt a little too simplified for someone as layered as Johnny was, but hey, still enjoyed it. It’s a movie, right? And Joaquin... man, I was a total wreck by the end of it. 😍 Also, Elvis—good grief—if I hadn't read up on the history, I might have actually wondered who that guy was. 🙂
Absolute nightmare. Moths are my literal kryptonite. I’m not even joking—I will actually die screaming if I spot one. I can't even sleep at night if I have a suspicion there’s one lurking in the room; I just lie there listening for that tiny, faint fluttering sound. If I hear it? Game over. I’m pulling the covers over my head regardless of how hot it is, just paralyzed by fear. It’s pathetic, really.

Anyway, I always end up passing out about fifteen minutes into a movie and only waking up when the credits start rolling 🙄—especially if I'm watching something with someone by my side. 🤣
😁 😁
The moral of the story? Always make sure you have someone there while you watch a movie. Aha. 🙂
Every time I stumble upon this thread, I totally misinterpret the vibe. My mind goes straight to: are you guys sitting on the couch, or the floor? Are you naked? Wearing a beanie and gloves but no socks? Just sitting there with a big bowl of chili in front of you?
Actually, that’s exactly how I watch movies—usually with someone else nearby. Not because I’m trying to be all romantic or anything, but just so I have someone to pester every three seconds. You know the drill: "Who is that guy?" "What's happening right now?" "Why did they do that?" "Where did they get that?" "Wait, didn't he die already?" That kind of thing.
Well, here I go again—just being a total mess... The crazy English Summer. 🙂
Fields of Fire The sky is victorious but here comes the rain Friday is taking me home again And I've nothing but you on my mind
Grass is greener without the pain I think that I'm changing but I'm just the same My sun is ascending again And I've nothing but you on my mind
Sometimes I feel like I'm glad to be free Sometimes I still want your arms around me Sometimes I'm glad to have left you behind The crazy English Summer has put you back on my mind Life's a riot a lover a friend Pity the Day Friday come speed me home again I've nothing but you on my mind
Sometimes I feel like I'm fine on my own Fifty thousand miles from home Sometimes I'm weak and the past is my guide Summer returns and puts you back on my mind
It used to be a total nightmare for me, but now? Now I’m actually feeling pretty good about it. It’s honestly kind of funny watching everyone lose their minds over Rufus Wainwright—even if I’m busy tearing into Megadeth myself. Opposites attract, I guess. That's just how it goes.
My top 10 picks for the ultimate gaming lounge playlist (and yes, I’m skipping Judy Garland, ABBA, and the Village People):
1) Dead or Alive - You Spin Me Round (Again) 2) Fischerspooner - Just Let Go 3) Rufus Wainwright - Oh What a Earth! 😍 4) The Dandy Warhols - Boys Better 5) Gloria Gaynor - I Will Survive 6) Diana Ross - I'm Coming Up 7) Kylie Minogue - Love at First Sight 8) The Ones - Flawless 9) Madonna - Vogue 10) George Michael - Outside

Alright then, here you go... by the time I get to Phoenix.
Terry Johnson5 said:man, that skinny guy 😍 is almost unreal—so thin, yet he’s got this wild, frantic energy. He's got some new moves, too; I caught it during Stagger Lee. It was... well, just intense. Daniel Booth88, if you can remember the setlist roughly, could you drop it here? At Coachella, it went something like this (not in order, except for the first two):
get ready for love red right hand hiding all away nature boy tupelo breathless weeping song supernaturally deanna Ship Song come into my sleep Mercy Seat there she goes, my beautiful world messiah ward o children stagger lee
It's nearly identical. Yeah, he opened with Get Ready for Love. The only difference at Madison Square Garden was that he didn't play Nature Boy—he did The Lyre of Orpheus instead (as an encore). And he played Darker with the Day, which isn't on your list. Man, I really wanted some variety—like, wouldn't it have been killer if he blasted Fable of the Brown Ape? Anyway, he closed out with Stagger Lee.

Hmm... overall, it was pretty good. A bit repetitive, though—they played almost the exact same set tonight as they did nine months ago at Madison Square Garden. Look, I’m not exactly being a picky critic here, but still. Anyway... my energy levels are staying high as usual, and even at nearly 48, there’s zero sign of a beer belly creeping in. All in all...😍 😍 😍
