Demon Director's Cut in Movies ·
quietdriver3, give me a few examples for each point.

By the way, the first one is easily ten times better than the second. The second was just tedious.😳
I haven't seen the third one yet—was that a stroke of bad luck or a lucky escape?

I would have brought up Ichabod Crane first, though. 😁

Is this House of Nine? Something new?😕

It reminds me of those ten little Indian A. Christs.😁

Where? Torrent? Send me a DM :P

It doesn't quite track. If she actually managed to escape, she should have stayed gone—unless, of course, she’s the killer. It looks suspicious at first glance, but honestly, it wouldn't be out of the question for her to have just snapped and developed some kind of PTSD. 😂 😂 😂

Why can't Burton ever seem to let go of Depp? 😢 😳

I thought the first film was dark, but with Donnie Wahlberg involved (New Kids on the Block 🙂), I'm honestly not sure what to expect from the sequel.

Here is a theory from one viewer (it’s an inaccurate review, but interesting for the sake of discussion):

The movie kicks off with three people stuck in a
holding cell. One of them is the woman from the original Saw who managed to escape
the reverse bear trap device; the others are a cop and a drug addict. (Oh yeah, Adam
gets away, and the police discover Dr. L's body near Danny Glover's—I assume he bled to
death.) We learn the woman from the first film is pregnant, and we eventually find out
who the father is—Adam!! Yeah, I know, it's bizarre. Then we discover her mission is to either terminate
the unborn child or kill the cop. I haven't the slightest clue why the addict is even there, but anyway, the
woman kills the cop, and she and the addict manage to escape, where they are met
by family and loved ones (cue Adam). It turns out the drug
addict has AIDS, and he dies shortly after. Speaking of death, we also learn that Jigsaw
passed away from stomach cancer, which means he couldn't have been the one to trap the trio in the cell. Then
we discover Adam had a connection to Jigsaw, prompting the police to hunt him down until they
eventually shoot him dead. Finally, it turns out the woman is the true killer; she
was a devotee of Jigsaw and likely wanted to carry on his legacy of games...

Personally, I’ve always preferred the Gene Wilder version. It’s hard to imagine anything topping that, especially since I'm not exactly a fan of Depp.
Ugh, a Dahmer type? That guy was basically decorating his room with skull ornaments and bone lamp stands 🙂))

By the way, I agree about the attractive cast—it’s an unnecessary ingredient for a slasher. Using average, realistic actors who happen to be decent-looking creates a much more relaxed, everyday vibe. That opening scene where he shoots him in the mouth is striking and well-executed, but the impact thins out later because the acting is mediocre, sacrificed for the protagonist's above-average build. The scenes where they arrive at the "abandoned" house with the person in the wheelchair are excellent, despite my gripe. If they had cast different actors (that curly-haired one is particularly bad), this movie could have been significantly better. I saw the original a few years back; I don't remember it vividly, but I suspect the acting was stronger. Standards were just different back then compared to what we look for today 😳

Speaking of Tobe Hooper, has anyone seen Toolbox Murders or the remake also directed by Hooper? I'm dying to see them! 😛

If anyone is interested in trading cult B-movies—specifically if you're building out a collection or have a catalog of your own—shoot me a DM. A friend of mine has a library of about 2,000 titles, so there’s a good chance we can find something that fits your specific taste. 👋

Serial killers.
The issue is that their MO is rarely depicted with enough vivid detail.
Even when handled subtly, they can still manage to make your blood run cold. Of course, that ultimately comes down to whether the actor and director can actually breathe life into the role.
Spacey in Seven is a masterclass in playing a psychopath, much like his killer in Resurrection.
If an actor can't inhabit the role and truly sell it, well, that's on them.
(Which, frankly, is a much smaller issue than most of the other monsters on this list.)
I wouldn't say I'm hitting two cans every single day, but I definitely grab one most days. I don't touch coffee at all, and I rarely go for a Coke, so I suppose it balances out somehow... As for alcohol, I don't drink much—just enough to enjoy the taste. I heard from someone once that besides heart attacks, you could even risk blindness (!), strokes, and other issues. It struck me as strange that such small doses could cause that much damage. 😕
dustycanyon6 said:Have you tried sticking strictly to Red Bull for a few days? I wouldn't pin this solely on Red Bull—it’s a potent stimulant, sure. But if I go overboard on Pepsi or Coca-Cola for a couple of days straight without any alcohol involved, I start getting that tightness in my chest.

I drink two Red Bulls every single day and haven't noticed any side effects... 😛
Side effects of birth control pills? in Health ·
As for breast size, maybe... from what I understand, rapid weight fluctuations can cause changes there, and some people might notice increased body hair or hair thinning. There are also sudden mood swings, though that’s pretty standard for women 😉
A mix of Red Bull and vodka has always been my go-to aperitif, but I’ve been hearing some concerning things about potential side effects. Could anyone here explain if consuming relatively small amounts—say, a few drinks where each contains about a third vodka—could actually cause issues? Specifically, what is the chemical interaction at play here? Thanks in advance 😉

Anyone interested in trading some trash?

I watched the original and really enjoyed it; they actually screened it at an indie theater here a few months back. I haven't gotten around to the remake yet—didn't see it on Netflix—but my gut tells me the original will remain the favorite, much like what happened with Dawn...
