Live and die for the game in Soccer ·
LA Galaxy promised they’d rename the stadium after Marc Vivien-Foe, but nope, nothing happened.
Anyway, I honestly couldn't care less about FIFA, and frankly, UEFA isn't much better.
Flavio Briatore's wildest ideas in Formula 1 ·
Honestly, the best qualifying format was just that one single flying lap. I have zero clue why they had to kill that off.

Anyway, here's my two cents: what if we gave out points for qualifying just like we do for the race, but then you actually start the race in reverse order? It would create endless, insane tactical possibilities...
Flavio Briatore's wildest ideas in Formula 1 ·
So I've been digging through some NASCAR news and just passing along some ideas from Flavio on how to make NASCAR actually interesting again... thoughts?

- He thinks the races run way too long and those last 20 minutes are usually a total snooze fest
- His pitch is doing two separate 45-minute races, where the second one starts in reverse order based on the first race's finish
- Moving race times to night or early morning instead of always sticking to that mid-afternoon slot
- Overhauling qualifying entirely

What’s the verdict? I get it, sometimes the races drag on forever once the outcome is basically decided, but... personally, I dig seeing two or more pit stops. It keeps things tense.
Doing two races in one day though... man, I don't know. I've been watching NASCAR since I was a kid and that would feel incredibly weird, even if I'm sure it'd bring in a ton of excitement.
And racing at night? Would these cars even have headlights? That mid-afternoon start doesn't always work for my schedule either... but hey, that's just how NASCAR is.

Honestly, might be the absolute worst movie I’ve sat through in a theater in forever. And trust me, I’ve seen some garbage, even back when I was still hanging out with my toxic ex 😬

Look, I'm trying to tell you that we need a real stadium culture here... If we actually get more people showing up to games, we'll get more sponsors, which means more cash, better club management, and eventually, better players...

A club is supposed to attract sponsors, investors, and fans.
Not have fans carry the sponsors, the investors, and the quality of the league on their backs.

It’s honestly hilarious how some people think handing out tickets at elementary and middle schools is a move. Then, once those kids head up North, they look down on them like they're some kind of outsiders. Like, what the hell do they even know about the history of my club? They don't know anything.

On the flip side, how am I supposed to believe that buying a ticket actually helps American soccer develop when my favorite club just sells off their best talent like Ljubojević only to go out and buy Nowotny? Makes zero sense.

Lawrence Mitchell2 said:So LA Galaxy or N.K. Chicago stinks?

Look, I was born in Chicago and I bleed LA Galaxy. Sure, I've got some respect for the Seattle Sounders, but at the end of the day, the only club I actually give a damn about is the one from my own backyard, my own country... The club isn't perfect, but it's mine...
And you? You've got just as much connection to the Go Yankees as I do to the Seattle Sounders...

Why would LA Galaxy or Chicago stink just because he's a Go Yankees fan?
What are we doing here, deciding who's allowed to support which team?
😕

Nah, quite the opposite.
but look, the guy asked what was missing from their game, so I’m just giving him an answer... 🙂

Terry Myers2 said:So you don't believe in intellectual property? What, you think it's fine to just grab whatever you want, steal stuff, use things people actually make a living from? And why stop at IP? Why wouldn't you just walk into a store and take clothes, shoes, a laptop, or even sneak into a Lakers game for free?

Shoes aren't intellectual property.
The IP is the blueprint used to manufacture those shoes.
I just don't buy the idea that someone can own a concept, or like, some guitar chords.
That doesn't mean I'm out here planning to swipe my neighbor's kid.
It means if I pull a stock from Ramirez's portfolio, they shouldn't be able to sue me for it.
Period.
Edward Green said:what, you got a guilty conscience, or are you just trying to act edgy? 😁

nah, honestly, I don't even buy into the whole intellectual property thing. I just know the government does, which makes me wonder... actually, whatever. Just stating facts here—they can't fix this mess either. 😁
Edward Green said:look, if you're actually in college, you should be able to read 😁 and spot that copyright notice on those first few pages, blah blah blah. 😉

was more of a rhetorical question, honestly. 🙂
Richard Lewis16 said:Copying an entire book is straight-up copyright infringement. It breaks the law. Honestly, I’d rather deal with this mess than be forced to shell out cash for every single book we want. Just keep it down so they don't catch on. 🙂 Legally, you're only supposed to copy small snippets, but who actually knows where the line is drawn these days?

The all-caps thing is basically screaming, and frankly, my hearing and eyesight are doing just fine.
if you know what I mean.
I'm just a college student. So yeah, I end up photocopying textbooks pretty often. It’s basically illegal, kind of like burning CDs back in the day.

The difference is I can burn a CD at home, which is basically impossible for anyone to police, but I don't exactly have a heavy-duty copier sitting in my dorm room.

Is copying actually against the law, though? Or am I just overthinking this?

staying on topic here; was the sound quality actually worse than that one old garage band set back in the day when those local rebels were playing?
man, that was just pure noise.
