It’s not like I haven't been out on a Laser lately, but honestly, I haven't actually spent any time out on the water in about two years. Last summer I was hanging out down at Central Park, but we were actually out on a buddy's TikTok, which isn't exactly a high-performance racing vessel, so the whole thing ended up just being one big, ridiculous joke between us. That same friend of mine owns an Optimist 😁 ,and let me tell you, I definitely learned my lesson the hard way with that one recently. Since last summer, I've just been messing around on a little dinghy, but I'm really hoping to pick up something decent to sail this coming summer.
Man, I'm starting to get hit with all this nostalgia 😁 . Once I can clear some space in my schedule, I really need to make a run over to the club.

Man, I feel you 300% on this one. Every single time I see something like that, my brain immediately puts me in that exact situation, and I swear I actually start feeling sick to my stomach—like I’m about to pass out or something. And when it actually happens to me in real life? Well, then I’m definitely not just "feeling" it, I'm genuinely suffering. I know it sounds totally ridiculous, but hey, what can you do? That's just how my brain works.

It's kind of like what feralstag11 was saying earlier... I just can't stomach seeing someone else deal with nasty, gruesome injuries.... When it’s my own skin on the line, I don't really feel much of anything—it’s weird, I don't know why... I've dealt with everything from an open arm fracture to a broken collarbone, a few busted ribs, and I've even passed out from pain a couple of times, but looking at my own mess has never been an issue..... But watching someone else go through that? No way, absolutely not....

In the winter, I’m always geared up with my armored jacket and a helmet... But man, during the summer, it gets way too hot for me 😁 However, whenever I head out of town—like if I'm driving out to the lake house or hitting the coast near Miami—I always make sure to throw on my helmet. I know I tend to ride a bit more aggressively on those open roads, and honestly, I have to admit that wearing a helmet just makes me feel... well, I don't know how else to put it, but I feel safer.
Man, if we’re all gonna look at things that way, we might as well just stay home and never do anything ever again... including anything even remotely risky. I’ve been riding motorcycles for a few years now, and most of them have been pushing 155 milesmph. Look, I’m fully aware that taking a nasty spill at high speeds—or dealing with some idiot in a car who doesn't give a damn about the tiny percentage of us on bikes—is going to absolutely wreck me. But honestly? That rush is what makes it incredible for me... I’ve had a couple of pretty gnarly wipeouts myself... and after those, when I hop back on the bike for the first few days, I’m definitely more careful and tend to cruise a bit slower... but then the feeling wears off, and I’m right back to my old self. It’s the exact same thing with your skating... if you live for that adrenaline, then just get out there and skate, man. Sure, you can get hurt doing pretty much anything, and some things are definitely worse than others, but...
