Best protein powders for muscle gain?

Stick to cooked eggs. You really don't want to be messing around with raw ones—it's just not worth the risk of picking up some nasty bug.

Even in your last meal if you've been super active during the day.
It’s all about experimenting. If you're hitting the weights at least three times a week and doing cardio three times too, it's going to be tough to put on any actual weight.
I don't know your exact routine, but don't just go overboard with a massive carb load all at once. Spread them out through your meals instead—think smaller portions more frequently.
Just don't go mixing them up with heavy fats, obviously.

Genetics.
So, this week I bumped my training up to four days a week plus three cardio sessions. I actually toyed with the idea of hitting the junk food hard, but honestly, I’d rather just graze on carbs throughout the day—even right before bed if I had a heavy lifting session.
Most of my fuel comes from whole grain bread while I'm at work paired with chicken or turkey deli meat; I usually toss in about five or six ounces of salami per meal if I'm going the turkey route.
The problem is, the junk always seems to settle right on my gut, even though my weight stays pretty steady.

I jumped into this debate because I basically follow the same logic, and honestly, I don't see why anyone thinks it’s bad or unhealthy. My foundation is solid—complex carbs, meat, fruit, veggies, dairy, all that good stuff—and if I feel like it, I'll toss in some tasty junk food on the side. It’s all about balance.

Aha... so why on earth are people even drinking this stuff if nothing changes?
Matthew Richardson81 said:Well, shoot. To be fair, I don't touch any supplements either, aside from some glucosamine tablets. And honestly? I can still hit my calorie goals even though I'm a total hardgainer and barely have an appetite to speak of.
Matthew Richardson81 said:Look, setting aside all those aesthetic goals for a second—this just isn't healthy. I know most people live on this stuff and they're still kicking, but you can definitely hit your calorie targets with much better fuel. Like, if you just smash down 200g of oats with a big glass of milk in the morning, you’re already over 1,000 calories right there.
At the end of the day, it’s actually going to be cheaper to just bulk up on chicken, oats, pasta, and rice.

Man, I am dead set on one thing: I want my legs to be absolutely rock solid. I’m talking about that tight, toned look—none of that soft, jiggly stuff. I just want them to feel firm, you know? No more sagging.

Sophia Grant6 said:Hey, I'm an 18-year-old girl and I just want everything to look tight. Can you recommend some proteins?
rapidtrucker14 said:Why is it that these protein supplements are recommended to people trying to bulk up AND to people trying to lose weight?
placidranger said:Look, you can basically grab whatever carbs you want—it doesn’t matter which specific one you pick, because they're all going to have the exact same effect on protein synthesis. Whether you want to go the natural route with some fruit or honey, or if you're just looking for something easier to toss in a shaker like some powdered sugar, it's all the same deal. It's about getting that fuel in there.
I was scrolling through some fitness forums the other day, and I saw someone claiming that Miloš Šarčev calls those Post-Workout supplements "Kiki candies." Honestly, what a joke. 😬 😬
Thomas Garcia48 said:I totally messed up today... I didn't grab my Whey protein and glucose right after my workout. Instead, I waited maybe an hour or an hour and a half. Is that going to be a huge deal? :\(
