Looking for a specialist... in Health ·
Hello there!

I’ve been struggling with some pretty intense lower back pain for a while now, but things have taken a turn for the worse over the last few days. It’s escalated to the point where I can barely move, let alone handle any complex tasks or daily errands.
Could anyone recommend a good specialist in Washington, D.C.?

Thanks!

I'm looking to pick up a new controller for my Windows PC gaming setup, with a budget of around $350, $133.

Does anyone have any solid recommendations, or perhaps some firsthand experience with specific models?

Thanks!

Is it okay to swap out glucose for fructose when I'm taking my whey protein?

I’ve hit up four different Walgreens and three local pharmacies now, and I still can't find any glucose anywhere...

I wouldn't go overboard with the Whey protein. It’s not like I’m strapped for cash, but I'm still trying to drop a few extra pounds before summer hits. 😁
So, I was thinking maybe just two scoops for my post-workout...

Is it the same deal with glucose and raisins? Or do I need to find those specifically somewhere? My plan was to just toss everything into a shaker and drink it; I really don't feel like snacking on pastries or munching on raisins on the side. 😉

I just picked up some Dymatize Elite Whey, and I was wondering what the ideal serving size is for post-workout recovery? The guys at my gym are all saying they toss two scoops in at once. Also, how much water should I be mixing it with?

On top of that, I read somewhere that mixing it with dextrose is supposedly the best way to go. I swung by a local pharmacy to look for some, but the clerk told me they haven't had it in stock for quite a while. Does anyone know where I can pick some up, or maybe suggest a good alternative?

I have never used protein powder or any other kind of supplements before, so I am looking for some guidance.
I am 6'1" and weigh about 190 lbs. I've been hitting the gym for about a year now, and since the start of this year, I've bumped it up to 4 or 5 times a week. I actually started my fitness journey when I hit the 220 lb mark on the scale, and let's just say things got serious pretty quickly. 😁

The issue is that I feel completely wiped out after my workouts. I tried getting some advice from the guys at my local gym, but everyone seems to be pushing their own favorite brand. I even asked the trainer there, but he tried to sell me on ten different supplements at once, so I had to politely decline...

I am happy with my muscle gains, so I am not overly concerned about getting too bulky; however, I still have a bit of a spare tire around my midsection that I would like to lose. Lately, I've hit a plateau with weight loss, and I suspect it's due to my diet—I tend to overeat whenever I am feeling exhausted.

I am planning to start using some protein; Dymatize Elite Whey looks like the best option to me, and I actually know someone who can pick it up at a discount in Canada.

Is this a solid choice? Should I be taking anything else alongside it, and what should the typical dosage look like? I also read something about dextrose; would that be worth incorporating?

P.S. Since I usually train after work during the week, I don't wrap up until around 8 PM. Is it actually worth taking a shake on a Friday night if I plan on having a few drinks later in the evening? 😁

Thanks for the help! 🙂

Ed Harris played him, and man, he managed to pull off one of the most disgusting characters ever put on screen.
The whole movie, you just get the feeling he’d 🙂

Fat Harkonnen 😬 😬 😬
I actually picked one up this morning and applied it as soon as the cold sore started popping up. Honestly, you can't even see the patch or the sore anymore. Does anyone happen to know how long it usually takes for it to disappear completely?

I actually tried watching it twice myself, but I just couldn't get through it. It was honestly pretty irritating...

Such a fantastic movie. I have to agree, this is easily Leonardo DiCaprio's best performance to date, and Djimon Hounsou is absolutely stellar as well. It runs a little long and the pacing feels slightly uneven at times, but it’s definitely a must-see! From here on out, I'm done buying diamonds—I'm switching my focus to gold. 😬

There are a few scenes from The Ring in Scary Movie 4... I honestly have no idea how I managed to watch it just three months ago without catching those references.

I can't quite remember if it was a movie or a TV series: IT.
It was some kind of clown. I vividly remember having nightmares for an entire year after seeing it—I think I was only about 6 or 7 years old at the time...

Cameroon missed out on qualifying for the World Cup because of a botched penalty; they were actually clinical today, except for that one re-taken shot—basically an Eto'o sequel...

But I’m honestly thrilled to see the Ivory Coast move forward. They're going to absolutely dismantle Nigeria, and then face Egypt in the finals...

It’s officially underway! Loncarevic just took a tough 0-3 loss against the home side, Egypt...

Who do you all think is going to take the trophy home?
Personally, I’m rooting for Ivory Coast, though I have a feeling Cameroon might be especially hungry for a win after missing out on the World Cup.

I actually think it’s a good thing that Ronaldo has put some weight back on. Last season, when he was a total prasa weighing in at around 220 pounds, he was scoring plenty of goals. He slimmed down at the start of this season and looked incredibly fit, but then suddenly, he couldn't find the back of the net to save his life. Now that he’s back up to that hundred-kilo mark, I really believe Real is going to be right back in the title race 🙂
