hollowtrucker77, since you’re asking for an example, check out this post from Gnothiseauton -

Honestly, you might want to take a look at your own post too -

It’s just not right when a mod or an Admin talks to a user like they're total trash, almost like they're just baiting a reaction so they can slap them with an infraction. I don't really care about getting an infraction myself, but the way they treat people on this forum is genuinely messed up.

So, am I only allowed to chime in when someone calls me out? That’s just hilarious.

BTW, even if we go along with your argument that I jumped in way too fast, is it really okay for a moderator to insult a user? It shouldn't matter whether the user deserved it or not. A mod is supposed to be a professional.

Alright hollowtrucker77, you've been flagged for being abusive, and don't even get me started on how little you seem to understand what actual spam is.

Some moderators honestly don't deserve their positions at all, considering they talk to users like complete garbage, act incredibly rude, and just spam the threads. And no, I’m not going to call out which specific mod I'm talking about, simply because his boss will probably try his hardest to defend him instead of actually handing out a penalty.

Sam the Eagle is basically the Muppet version of Captain America 😁 :

Just more emo teenage angst nonsense like Twilight, mixed with all that Masonic propaganda found in The Da Vinci Code and Angel and Demon.

Go ahead and laugh if it makes you feel better. ☕

And what exactly am I supposed to be getting wrong here? 🤷 Either back it up with some actual examples or just keep it to yourself. ☕

Chloe Green61 said:Claiming that not wanting kids goes against the laws of God and isn't natural isn't just an opinion—it's straight-up trolling. It’s basically just throwing fuel on a fire to start unnecessary arguments that drift off-topic and end up being offensive. That's pretty much the textbook definition of trolling.

That’s just not true. So what, I’m supposed to just shut up and lie about my own beliefs? Instead of actually speaking my mind and sharing my honest perspective?

BTW, your definition of trolling is totally off. What you described sounds more like a straw man argument than actual trolling. Real trolling is when someone gets perversely involved in a discussion specifically to cause chaos, all while pretending they actually care about the topic.
New clip and a bunch of stills

By the way, the Howling Commandos are easily the best part, especially Neal McDonough playing Dum Dum Dugan with those iconic Josip Jellacic mustaches and that totally wild Sir Oliver energy. 😬

Personally, I think it's a fun watch. I don't stress over what's totally broken versus what actually works.
It killed the boredom for me back then, so I'm happy with it, even if I did say the movie was decent.

So, if I don't like The Core, I just hate everything? That's hilarious. 🤣🙄🤣

Sarah Wood8 said:I don't know about you, but I've seen way worse stuff than The Core. I mean, most of those cheap action flicks they run on FOX, or even total trash apocalypse movies like Epic Movie... compared to those, The Core isn't even in the same league of suck, no matter how bad it actually is.

Nah, The Core is definitely bottom-tier trash—both generally and within the Sci-Fi genre—simply because of the massive pile of "bad science" nonsense it relies on. That's why it constantly gets dumped at the very bottom of polls, right next to "2012." But honestly, "2012" at least had top-tier production value, whereas with The Core, they actually had to fix the visual effects in post because they looked like absolute cheap crap during the test screenings.

The movies you mentioned are basically B-movies anyway, while The Core tried to present itself as an A-list production, which just makes its failure even more glaring.

Sarah Wood8 said:The movie was just okay. Nothing special... just another forced disaster flick, and there are plenty of those out there, though this one might sit a notch above the usual trash and serves as decent enough entertainment. Honestly, I’ll watch pretty much anything starring Hilary because, for some reason, I just find her incredibly captivating.

Even as a massive Sci-Fi fan, I have to say this movie is total trash.

Plus, "Core" is basically a rip-off of the 2000 film "Deep Core" starring Terry Farrell (Jadzia Dax from DS9) and Craig Sheffer.

Speaking of which, I was watching an episode of Eureka (3x03) yesterday that dealt with almost the exact same theme as these two movies. 😁

Excuse me?! 🙄

Look, even if they don't count as "arguments," they are still "stances." And what was just said definitely wasn't trolling (and I know trolls well, since we've dealt with that kind of trash plenty of times over at the SF Center).

mellowraven22 said:What exactly are you complaining about? You got your warning fair and square.

It’s just not true that I got it "fair and square." My issue is that a perfectly legitimate opinion is being labeled as trolling.

Look, since it’s apparently "so hard to understand," here it is:

Why are you surprised? Everything I said is the absolute truth. I know someone who would get married, but she wouldn't want kids because children trigger psychotic episodes for her.

Yeah, I actually do know someone who would marry but refuse to have kids because they represent something she's terrified of. I was just using that as an example in this debate to show that there are definitely people out there who choose marriage without wanting offspring.

Because choosing not to have descendants goes against both nature and God's laws. On the other hand, some people can't have biological children, but they still want them and opt for adoption.

And that is my personal stance, which I believe in deeply.

So, there’s no trolling going on here—just moderator overreach. ☕ Just to be clear, I'm not looking to get Herb or any other mod in trouble. I just want these unjustified infractions, handed out simply because a moderator doesn't like another user's perspective, to be kept to an absolute minimum. I've picked up warnings plenty of times before, but this is the first time I've actually spoken up about it. It genuinely rubbed me the wrong way, and honestly, that should probably say something.

So, I was posting in the Women's Corner thread about gold diggers looking for rich husbands—and look, I stand by everything I said, especially since I backed it up with a real-life example of how this actually goes down. But apparently, because I voiced my opinion, Herb decided my take was just "trolling." She went ahead and slapped me with a 35-point infraction, which ended up triggering a three-day ban. Just typical.

So, here’s how they play it: they use that same old tactic used in those infamous hate speech cases. They just slap a "troll" label on anyone who disagrees with them, and then they use their moderator powers to basically bash them over the head for it.

What a disgrace. 🤮

You just got hit with an infraction on Reddit.

The reason: Trolling.

Heads up—this infraction carries a 35-point penalty and could lead to your access being restricted until it runs out. Just a reminder that serious violations stay on your record permanently.

Original Post:
I honestly don't get why people make such a massive deal out of this stuff. It feels like everyone is just looking for a reason to be outraged lately. I was scrolling through some discussions on Reddit earlier, and the level of nitpicking is just exhausting. You see someone make a simple point, and within minutes, there’s a dozen people jumping down their throat over some tiny technicality that doesn't even matter in the grand scheme of things. Take what Frank Moore4 was saying the other day—he made a perfectly reasonable observation about how certain trends are shifting, and instead of actually engaging with his logic, people just started attacking him personally. It's the same pattern every single time. People would rather win a superficial argument than have a real conversation. And don't even get me started on the constant drama in the Women's Corner. It's become this weird echo chamber where if you don't use the exact right phrasing, you're basically treated like an outcast. It’s totally unnecessary. We should be able to discuss ideas without feeling like we're walking through a minefield. At the end of the day, most of this online friction is just noise. If you want to have a productive discussion, you have to be willing to listen and move past the petty grievances. Otherwise, we're all just shouting into a void and getting nothing out of it. It's pretty straightforward if you stop taking everything so seriously.

You’re out here spinning fairy tales, but I’m just telling it like it is—this is how things actually play out in the end.🤷

Why are you even acting surprised? Everything I just said is the absolute truth. I actually know someone who’s planning to get married, but she’s dead set against having kids because the whole idea of motherhood sends her into a total psychotic break. 🤣☕

Look, choosing not to have kids goes against both nature and God's laws. It just doesn't sit right. On the flip side, you've got people who desperately want to be parents but can't conceive naturally—those are the ones who step up and adopt.

Take care,

Susan Hernandez said:The shots in Moscow and at the Burj Khalifa look great, but honestly, it’s going to be hard to top the second one. John Woo lives forever!😁

Personally, I feel like Woo totally butchered the second installment with his specific directing style. Sure, that vibe works for a hard-boiled target, a man without a face, or those Hong Kong classics starring Chow Yun Fat, but it just doesn't fit the Mission: Impossible vibe.

Looking back on it, the first movie captured the spirit of the original series perfectly. The second one completely missed the mark because of that "Woo" style, whereas the third movie might actually be my favorite of the bunch.
