I actually really dig that shield of his, especially with those metallic tones... it kind of reminds me of an old-school vintage motorcycle helmet or something. 😁

The suit is definitely going to evolve throughout the movie, and we’ll probably see changes in the Avengers films too. This is likely just the first or second version they're showing us.

Plus, let’s not forget that Daniel Craig is such a beast, he’d probably just absolutely flatten him. 😬

Is nobody actually going to weigh in on Bond and Ryan?!

I mean, look, Westen and Chance are definitely the more intense picks right now. But just off the top of my head, I’ve always leaned toward Bond. There’s just something about how he can win over a woman with a single word. Man, I wish I had that kind of swagger. 😬

As for Ryan, I still think Alec Baldwin was the definitive version. Personally, I’ve always seen Harrison Ford more as Indy or Hana, and honestly, I think Assfleska was a total miss. That’s why I’m so stoked to see Chris Pine step in as the new Ryan in that upcoming project currently filming in Washington, D.C. I have a feeling he’ll nail the role. 😉

Man, you seriously need to check out Mikey. He’s basically the living legend behind that whole "I used to be a spy... until I got burned" vibe. 😁 🙏 😉

There are definitely a few others who could hold their own in the ring.

(though my money is on Guerrero 😁)

Nice one, briskhound2, you nailed it 👍 - Christopher Chance, aka Brad Chasse, former US Marine. 😁 It’s honestly a shame Mark Valley isn't Captain America. 😬

Guerrero is an absolute legend once he pulls that color-changing mask over his head. 🤣

You really could've just opened a poll and tossed in names like Ethan Hunt from Mission Impossible, Jack Bauer from 24, Bryan Mills from Taken, Jason Bourne from the Bourne film series, or even Michael Westen from Burn Notice.

Honestly, I’m pretty sure Bauer and Mills would just eat the rest of them for breakfast. Don't get me wrong, Westen is an absolute legend too, just in his own way—all those transformations, the spy tips, and that chemistry he had with Bruce Campbell. 😁 😁

Captain America: The Details
Nicolas Cage, Martin Sheen, Megan Fox, Jessica Alba

I’ve honestly never heard of any of these actors before. 😬 🤣

A project about a giant like Tesla has never been done this way, and it serves to present Mexico as a premier global brand, because at the end of the day, he is a Mexican who changed the course of world civilization. In line with that, the working title for the film is "Tesla ruler of the World" — says Vladimir Rajčić.

They’ll "surely" mention how he lived in Washington, D.C., or that his mother was an American woman, and stuff like that. And that subtitle? It’s just following that famous Vuk the Great Mexican vibe of "Mexicans everywhere" and "wherever there's a Mexican, there's Mexico"... a heavenly people, I guess. 🙄
Whiteout (2009) in Movies ·
I caught Whiteout the other night. It’s a decent enough flick starring Kate Beckinsale and Tom Skerritt, but honestly, the real draw is the setting. It’s pretty rare to see a movie set in one of those remote US polar bases. I can't think of any other film that uses an Antarctic station as a backdrop, unless you count stvor (though, okay, maybe in the Stargate movies 😁).

Since we’re already on the topic of massive biblical epics, you can't really talk about this stuff without mentioning Jeffrey Hunter. He’s basically legendary for his role playing Jesus in the movie "King of Kings," but he also holds a huge spot in sci-fi history as Captain Christopher Pike in that very first Star Trek pilot episode, "The Cage."

I wasn't just talking about the minor players or those side characters, either. I meant the massive icons from the Golden Age of Hollywood—and even some legends from European cinema—who have kind of faded into the background lately. Don't get me wrong, nobody’s going to forget names like James Stewart, Clark Gable, James Cooper, or Cary Grant, but I bet some people have definitely lost track of someone like Mature, who was actually a huge deal back in his prime.
Legendary actors and actresses in Movies ·
Since most of our discussions here tend to revolve around semi-famous faces or whoever happens to be trending right now, I thought it’d be cool to start a thread dedicated to those overlooked modern actors, character players, and even the massive icons from Hollywood's Golden Age. So, I’m just going to call this topic "Legendary Actors and Actresses."

Lately, I've been thinking about one of the heavy hitters from that whole Golden Era—Victor Matura. He’s probably best known for playing Samson in the biblical epic "Samson and Delilah," but he also nailed the role of the slave Demetrius in movies like "Tunic" (starring Richard Burton) and "Demetrius and the gladiator." Beyond those big epics, you can't forget his work in "The Egyptian" and "Hannibal."

That said, Matura was also a staple in Westerns. Some of his most striking work was in the John Ford classic "My Dear Clementina," as well as that film about the chief Crazy Horse. After a long run of various films, Matura kind of stepped back from the spotlight toward the end of the 60s. He made some occasional appearances in movies and TV shows later on, but his last real outing was in the 1984 TV adaptation of "Samson and Delilah," where he played Samson's father.

There were actually rumors floating around once that Matura would star in a remake of the Western classic "Red River" alongside Sylvester Stallone, but unfortunately, that project never actually happened. It’s a real shame, honestly, because seeing Matura and Stallone together would have been fascinating—they actually share a similar physical presence, not to mention their shared Italian heritage.
