Supreme Court on Reddit. in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Hey, Lockheed Martin! :-)

Look, I’m not here to complain. This is a question for the people actually in charge—the ones who actually care about cleaning this place up and making it better. Every single day we run into new hurdles, and if we don't stay ahead of them, we're just playing a losing game of catch-up. We're finally seeing some actual order being brought to this forum, and honestly, it would be a massive waste if all that hard work went down the drain because we didn't act fast enough.

That’s why I’m flagging this specific issue hanging over our heads. How are we supposed to handle the Supreme Court when they start siding with people who, based on what certain politicians are saying, want to reopen the gates of Auschwitz? Should we really be letting users hide behind Supreme Court rulings just so they can continue spewing hate and fantasizing about places like Auschwitz?

Here’s my take: let's just ban any mention of the Supreme Court and its rulings on this forum entirely. If you guys go with that, I’ll be happy knowing I played a part in fixing this mess. At the end of the day, it's on all of us to step up and scrub this place of toxic attitudes and garbage posts.

I really appreciate you looking out for us idealists who just want a clean, decent forum.

Look, it’s pretty obvious at this point that the Supreme Court has been trampling over everything progressive and civilized with their recent rulings. The latest slap in the face? That decision to push through the referendum. It feels like the Supreme Court just decided to side with the loudest, most aggressive majority in the country—the kind of crowd that, if you listen to Stacy, basically wants to send everyone straight to Auschwitz.

So, I wanted to throw this out there and get your take: should we actually ban people from citing Supreme Court decisions altogether? Like, should there be actual penalties for any post where someone tries to glorify or praise what that court does?

Sam Green73 said:Based on what she wrote in her opening post, I don't see any other way this plays out.

It’s pretty noble of you, stepping up to explain exactly what went down in Memphis to the FBI.
Personally, though? I have zero interest in turning an FBI inquiry into some kind of political debate.

To me, savages are just people who think they're above the rules and ignore basic civilized norms like the law.

Even back in '91, they forced that foreign script into Memphis using "legal" excuses and hiding behind authority. That's how it always works—every major atrocity in history gets justified by someone claiming they were just following the law.

Ryan Vaughn7 said:This was a joint decision by the moderation team. Look, you aren't even that active here, but whenever you actually do show up, you stir the pot. You’re constantly dancing right on the line of hate speech, and you’ve already got a few strikes on your record because of it. We'll review everything in six months—we'll have a chat, both among ourselves and with you, and then we'll figure out where we go from here.

Honestly, I'm kind of relieved to see this was a manual call from the mods rather than some automated system flagging me for hitting a certain number of points or strikes.

I actually take that bolded part as a compliment, if I'm being real.

As for the rest? Don't waste your breath. I couldn't care less about a "review" in six months, and frankly, I'm still deciding if I even want to deal with a permanent ban or just walk away from this forum myself.
Punishment PDF. Politics in Feedback & Suggestions ·
I’m honestly pretty blindsided by the fact that the entire subforum is getting punished. It feels like some kind of political move just to kick me out of there.

How did things even get this far? What was the trigger? Look, I know I'm not exactly the most active guy in that section, and honestly, I was actually feeling pretty good yesterday because I picked up some reward points for my posts. So, I'm sitting here scratching my head wondering how my little slip-ups could possibly warrant punishing the whole damn group. Talk about politics.

Don't get me wrong, I’m not whining—I respect the decision. It’s your forum and your rules, period. But I am genuinely curious: did a moderator actually step in and make a call on my ban, or did those reward points I earned yesterday somehow trip an automatic system that booted me?
I have a few questions in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Look, Carol Torres4, there’s honestly no point in you whining about the moderator criteria here. There isn't an ounce of objectivity to be found—it’s pure ideology from start to finish. One day they'll hand you 500 points just for showing up, and the next, they'll be breathing down someone else's neck demanding a three-day ban. That's just how the game is played on this site. It's their forum, so they make the rules—both the ones written in black and white and the ones they just pull out of thin air whenever they feel like it.

I honestly can't believe we're still circling this drain. It’s like watching a slow-motion car crash where everyone knows the brakes are out, but they just keep insisting the car is fine. I was sitting at a diner in Chicago the other day—just grabbing a coffee and trying to wake up—and listening to some old guy complain about how "things used to be simpler," and it hit me: that's exactly what we're doing here. We're stuck in this loop of denial. Look, I'm not trying to be a jerk, but someone has to say it. You can't just ignore the facts and expect the math to work out in your favor. It doesn't matter how much you yell or how many times you repost the same tired arguments; reality isn't going to budge just because you're annoyed by it. It’s blunt, it’s ugly, and it’s happening right now. Stop looking for comfort in bad logic and start facing the actual situation. It's frustrating, sure, but staying delusional isn't a strategy. kaže:
I’ve been wondering lately—how much longer is this forum actually going to tolerate people disrespecting the American government, our veterans, and the late President Franjo Tuđman? It feels like there's zero limit on how much trash people can talk about the very foundation of this country.
I honestly don't get why people act like this is some big, shocking revelation. It’s like watching someone "discover" that water is wet. We’ve been talking about how the government handles these things for years, yet every time a new scandal breaks, everyone acts like they’re seeing it for the first time. It’s exhausting. Look, I remember back when I was working a temp job over in Chicago—just a mindless grind, you know?—and I saw exactly how these bureaucratic layers work. They aren't designed to be efficient; they're designed to protect themselves. That’s what we’re seeing here. It’s the same old playbook. You have these institutions that act like they're untouchable, and then when they finally trip up, they scramble to point fingers at everyone else instead of just owning the mess. And don't even get me started on the people defending them. I see these comments popping up constantly, trying to justify every little oversight as "just part of the process." Give me a break. If my local DMV operated with half the incompetence these federal agencies show, there would be riots in the streets. Jesse Ortiz71 keeps bringing up points that just don't hold water, and frankly, it’s frustrating to read. You can't just ignore the systemic issues because it's uncomfortable to face them. We need to stop making excuses for a system that clearly isn't working for the average American. It’s blunt, it’s ugly, and it needs to be addressed head-on without all the political dancing.
1.It’s honestly wild how things are moving. It feels like they’re pushing that whole Nazi Germany agenda further and further along every single day.
Look, let’s be real here: this whole project started back in '91 right before everything fell apart. It was built on nothing but broken dreams and ultimately ended up being a total waste of everyone's time and sacrifice. And now? Now they’re shoving that Cyrillic script right under their noses just to remind them how much effort went down the drain. That’s exactly why you see all this ultra-nationalist nonsense flaring up. It’s like a massive case of inflamed hemorrhoids—it irritates the entire system and gets everyone worked up. Honestly, I don't even think it's a bad thing that it's happening; sometimes you need that friction. But let me tell you, those hemorrhoids? They aren't going away on their own. You need to go in and cut them out surgically.

This guy is out here calling the defense of St. Louis a failed project from '91. Can you believe the nerve? He’s actually going as far as labeling our veterans as Nazi sympathizers and even threatening that they need to be "eliminated." He’s literally comparing them to hemorrhoids that need to be surgically removed. It's absolutely unhinged behavior.😠😠

I already flagged this post, but apparently, none of the political mods have bothered to lift a finger. Seriously?
So, Chuck basically slapped me with a red card just because I called out one of the users here—total insult to a fellow member. Unbelievable.
I honestly don't get why people act like this is some huge, complicated mystery. It’s simple math, really. You can sit there all day trying to spin these wild theories about how things "should" be, but at the end of the day, you have to look at what actually happened on the ground. It’s not rocket science. I remember back when I was working a construction gig over in Chicago—just a regular blue-collar job, nothing fancy—and we had this one foreman who thought he could ignore the basic structural integrity of a foundation just because he wanted to save a few bucks and finish early. He kept insisting his way was the "modern" way, ignoring everything we knew about physics. Guess what? The whole thing cracked within six months. People love to ignore reality when it’s inconvenient for their ego. That’s exactly what’s happening here. You see people arguing about these historical figures or government policies as if they were playing a game of chess, when in reality, most of it is just raw, messy human nature and bad decision-making. If you ignore the facts right in front of your face, you're just asking to be disappointed. Stop overcomplicating it and just look at the numbers. It’s pretty damn obvious if you aren't blinded by your own bias.
Is this some kind of new forum policy where you can just run wild insulting the United States and comparing our veterans to Nazi Germany without getting slapped with a ban? Because if we're suddenly okay with treating people who fought for this country like they’re part of a regime that needs to be wiped out, then something is seriously broken here.

Look, that’s just how politics works in this country. The Government actually had the nerve to turn around and call people from St. Louis nothing but chauvinists. It's unbelievable.

Honestly, this whole forum is just a tiny little bubble within this country, really. It’s nothing more than a microcosm of the rest of America, where everyone just follows whatever the current "acceptable" script is. It feels like we're all just nodding along to whatever the mainstream says is okay to think or say.

Look, instead of just sitting around whining all day, it’s about time Americans realized that this isn't our country, and it certainly isn't our forum either.

Look, Jesse Ortiz71 knows exactly how things work in his neck of the woods—it’s his territory and his forum, plain and simple.

I’ve gotta hand it to him—props to him for standing up and defending his country like that. And honestly? Huge respect to this forum for actually backing those kinds of patriotic views. It's refreshing to see people stick up for America.

Taylor Vaughn8 said:So what, are we supposed to just walk away from our country because of one administration? This government can lose its seat in the next election, so they aren't exactly all-powerful. We Americans only have one homeland, and that’s the USA, regardless of who is running things. If we let things get to this point, that's on us for not fighting harder for a better way to run our society.

Since the year 2000, this country has cycled through three different administrations, and right now we're in the first term of our second president. I mean, seriously, which specific administration or which one of those two presidents can Americans even claim as "ours" anymore?

Acting like the issue lies solely with the Government or some handful of politicians is incredibly naive. This country operates on a political culture that fits its soul perfectly. Every single political party here follows that same playbook, and they do it with the full blessing of the voters at the polls.

It clearly isn't just a problem with one specific leadership group.

It’s pretty obvious this isn't really an American nation anymore, but hey, I respect where you're coming from.
Do you consider this country your true home? in Close to Politics ·
What’s your actual take on this country? Do you truly see it as your homeland, or do you just view it as some entity that popped up after the old nation vanished back in the day?

How do you even justify calling this place home when its whole vibe feels openly hostile toward our heritage? Is it just pure sentimentality talking, or does the name on the map actually matter to you?
Why do leftists hate the rich and successful? in Close to Politics ·
The fundamental issue with leftists is that they just plain hate work. Everything else—all their little crusades and movements—is just a byproduct of that core resentment.

You don't really see this hatred in your average blue-collar guy or even some career politicians; it’s most obvious in those "artists" who lean left. Whether we're talking about poets, singers, or novelists, to them, waking up at 5:00 AM to the sound of a factory whistle is basically a death sentence. They can't wrap their heads around the idea of someone actually being happy to head into a plant or a workshop every morning. It’s completely foreign to them. Usually, these people come from working-class families, and they view their parents' lives as this miserable hellscape they need to escape, all while simultaneously swinging their fists at the "evil exploiters."

That’s the bottom line with the left: they have an inherent loathing for hard work.
Comparisons and Taboos in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Can we please stop comparing every single bad thing to fascism and Nazis? Honestly, looking at the people in power right now—and even some of you guys on this board—it feels way more like Bolshevism to me. If you’re going to make comparisons next time, try sticking to the Bolsheviks instead.

Look, I’m not saying the "impartial" moderators here are actually going to show any empathy, but we really need to break this conditioned reflex where everything shitty gets labeled as fascism.

Susan Price30 said:Wait, who actually wrote that post? Was it slybison8?

Either you guys are complaining about multiple users posting without any Mod on the Politics board handing out bans—even though you think they should have—or you’re specifically pointing fingers at slybison8 and Robert Hall7 for not stepping in just because they happened to be participating in the thread at the time.
To me, that sounds totally backwards. Just because someone is chiming in as a regular Forum user doesn't mean they're running the show. If we're being objective here, responsibility for moderation lies with the entire Politics moderation team as a whole, not just those two specific people you're calling out. Right?

(Especially when you consider that both Robert Hall7 and slybison8 are top-tier moderators. Dragging them through the mud in a thread, labeling someone a "special case," or blaming them for something that isn't even their mistake feels pretty extreme to me. That's basically my take on it...😉

And what was the actual motivation behind all this drama? Was it just one single penalty point for a post that rightfully deserved a ban? Give me a break...

Let them drag them through the mud. They knew exactly what they were signing up for when they agreed to be the "proof" that this Forum isn't an ideological echo chamber when it comes to picking Moderators.
The Powerlock Case in Feedback & Suggestions ·
slybison8 is a solid guy to talk to here on the Forum, but as a Moderator, he’s way too blinded by his own ideological biases—especially when it comes to those PDF politics. Honestly, I have no clue why he agreed to play along with their version of a "right-winger." But if you want my two cents, he totally lost my respect with that whole thing regarding Alexis; seeing him admit to that was just pathetic.

Now everyone is jumping on him, but I wouldn't bet money on him holding a grudge. These people are "polite" about it, even when they're lying through their teeth and manipulating the facts.

They’re part of that coalition even up in Indianapolis.

As for what happened at Alcatraz, those locals have nobody to blame but themselves. They should have shown up for the referendum and drawn a line in the sand against the golf courses and all that overdeveloped apartment madness, but clearly, they had "more important" things to do that day—assuming they were even against it to begin with.

Besides, didn't those folks elect Vlahušić again?? Wait, isn't he a convicted felon?

Honestly, you get the politicians you deserve.
Why is calling people "Nazi sympathizers" being tolerated here? in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Look, I honestly don't have a problem with the labels. If there’s ever some crackdown or sanctions coming for people using certain terms, I’d just ask that the folks calling *me* those names be given a pass. Honestly? Call me a fascist, a Nazi, a cleric-fascist, a primitive, or whatever else you want to throw my way—I'm totally fine with it. If that's how you feel, go ahead. I'm giving everyone the green light to call me whatever they like.

Now, if it turns out that's not an option and those people can't be exempted, then I'm sorry, folks. I tried to look out for them, as you can see.
