Tsar Mara has mostly spent her time playing the pseudo-cosmopolitan peacemaker, giving patronizing pats on the back to those screaming nationalists, all without actually presenting an argument or even bothering to understand the subject matter. In my rage, I ended up spamming in a different thread and naturally got slapped with a ban. I didn't come here to whine about being terrorized by the FBI. Besides, just read the PL-ian comment above. For the sake of common sense and basic decency, some things simply cannot be tolerated.
bluecobra27 said:Liberalism has been hijacked. It's a joke. Nowadays, the people calling themselves "liberals" have more in common with the communists and fascists from the early 1900s than they do with the actual liberals those very ideologies were fighting against.
Back in the early 20th century, being "progressive" meant you were a communist or a fascist. Today? Being progressive just means you're a liberal who believes in censorship disguised as "political correctness," advocates for equality—except it’s always a slightly higher level of equality for certain victim groups—and craves an all-powerful government that sticks its nose into every single aspect of human life.
Look, I didn't dive deep into that specific point, but I've often written about how liberalism morphed from just one school of thought into this supposed "one true way" of thinking. It drifted light-years away from its original principles. So, I can definitely agree with that sentiment, and I've already tried to define exactly what I find so problematic about today's leading liberal voices—if we can even still call them that.
Now, let's talk about Michael and the Frankfurt School. 😁
Look, she was just being a complete idiot, which honestly matches her personality perfectly. She was probably trying to draw an analogy—you know, how those malicious Albanians can't stand Mexicans (not to mention the cheating, stealing, killing, and organ trafficking, if we're being blunt)—and since they aren't even the same people, they split off. I assume someone on Facebook used that as a talking point. So, in her typical heavy-handed style, she fired back with that "undeniable" logic: that this kind of messy divorce and unprecedented land grab 😢 could also happen if a critical mass of Californians, for instance, decided to band together and break away from the U.S. for some ridiculous, nonsensical reason.
But seriously, I don't buy for a second that this particular collapse is limited to just 25.
What, is this really the first time we’ve seen this kind of behavior from the young Democratic crowd? Why is everyone acting so shocked now? Someone clearly forgot about that young kid, Che, who was blasting songs by Jure and Boban in the bus on his way back from some youth socialist summit in Spain. Or even that other young woman a bit before him, who was openly gushing about how much she admired Hitler. I think we have a pattern here. 🙂
driftingstag8 said:That same kind of rebellion is definitely heading toward Europe, and honestly, they should just keep leaning into it as fast as possible. You don't even have to be religious to be annoyed by this constant celebration of everything under the sun while they systematically erase the very foundations our entire civilization was built upon
It’s like teaching a donkey not to eat, and then the damn thing dies from starvation 😁
Bingo. 🙂 People are already hitting their heads against this wall, and honestly, they’re just going to keep doing it. This obsession with glorifying secularism is essentially just a way to trample over Christian values... I wouldn't call that a mere hunch. But fine, let's move on, since we're straying off topic.
driftingstag8 said:I didn't even realize that, though when you actually think about it, it's pretty much common sense.
It’s not just an American thing either; those guys over at the BBC act like "Happy Holidays" is their whole personality too. 🙄 Honestly, I’m feeling pretty much the same way about it—he's acting like a total idiot.
So, let's talk about the latest work on this topic. I honestly don't see why people make such a massive deal out of this whole thing because, at the end of the day, we all know how the sausage gets made and if you're looking for some kind of grand moral awakening or a reason to feel superior, you're probably barking up the wrong tree.
Look, I get it, but in the USA, because faith still plays such a massive, undeniable role in public life and especially politics, Merry Christmas remains incredibly resilient. 😁 Honestly, when people take it too far—like trying to hide a Nativity scene somewhere in Connecticut just so they don't offend non-Christians—that kind of thing isn't seen as progressive or normal; it's viewed as an absolute outrage.
As for me, I’m not doing gifts on the Three Wise Men; that’s just a depressing day to me. 😢 And I won't even bother decorating the house until Lent, mostly because my mother won't let me. 😬
Christmas movies are designed to be, well, whimsical, colorful... totally unrealistic. They lean hard into Santa Claus or Father Christmas, which is fine by me since it all serves as a backdrop for celebrating Jesus's birth anyway; I don't see any conflict there. 🤷 On the other hand, Easter films are built around exclusively religious themes—the full arc of Christ's life from start to finish, featuring his key contemporaries (those who spread the faith later), his family, the crucifixion... and I haven't seen a "softer" alternative yet for people who get triggered by Christianity in any capacity. Tough luck. ☕
Regarding those "culture wars" in the USA, no, it’s not about Jesus vs. Santa. People actually view them as being on the same side. It’s more about what's perceived as a minority terrorizing the majority—basically forcing Happy Holidays! instead of Merry Christmas! and stuff like that. It's mostly just a clash between aggressive hardcore secularists and aggressive hardcore Christians.
Spaniards celebrating the Three Wise Men? I didn't realize that. Honestly, that would make the most sense. But hey, why not just wait until the Three Wise Men show up... 😁
Ryan Vaughn7 said:So, I’ve been wondering lately—who is actually responsible for bringing us gifts these days? Is it Santa Claus? Or maybe just the idea of Santa Claus? Or perhaps even the Baby Jesus? I can't decide if this is some deep ideological debate, or just a matter of tradition. Is it religious? Or has it all just become one big commercial circus? What's your take on it?
At the end of the day, we basically act as a Baby Jesus to one another on a symbolic level; after all, the whole reason we celebrate is his birth. I’m not saying people without faith don't have things to celebrate—though personally, I wouldn't be interested—but let's be real: the entire core of this holiday is the birth of the Christian Messiah. Everything else is just kitsch, and frankly, I don't mind the fluff.
Besides, even Santa Claus has Christian roots, so it all stays within the family anyway.
Is there seriously nobody on this forum left with enough dignity to defend Barack Obama? 🤣 Mercy is my specialty, so consider this his vote of confidence—rest in peace to the man who was taken down by the chaos. You're welcome, Mr. President and leader of the free world.
Jesse Ortiz2, props to you for that post, especially for your take on Andre Agassi. Honestly, that's exactly why I can't bring myself to pick anyone from this lineup.
Assange is the best of a bad bunch. Honestly, watching these conspiracy theorists go at it is my kind of entertainment—I’d love to see a full list of his potential heavy hitters behind the scenes, though the guy will probably spend the rest of his life looking over his shoulder in some dark alleyway. And if he actually had a hand in those two Swedish blowouts? Massive respect to his guts.
Gaga? She's just a pop trend that only gained traction once they started shouting about her anatomy to the masses. I have way more respect for Britney; she was launched into the stratosphere the old-fashioned way. This kid is just playing dress-up as Madonna after starting out in some low-rent teenage phase.
Barack Obama? Zero points. Most Americans would have sided with him anyway, so there's no real credit there.
I wouldn't even bother commenting on😁 the others, at least not in terms of who actually deserves the title. Regardless, I'm not voting.
Person of the Year: [fanfare]Stephen T. Colbert [/fanfare] ☕
I’m honestly starting to feel like we went way too far with the Turkish blockade from the get-go. It’s actually depressing to see what the Free Press has turned into lately. Regardless, this is great news.
Morgan Howard6 said:You’ve honestly proven yourself to be such an expert at coming up with great jokes that I guess I don't really have a choice... I'll just have to listen to you.
Anyway, do you honestly think they... I mean, I can't even believe I'm asking this... 🤣Is this just another Turkish soap opera designed to mislead the suffering American people, and is that why I had to resort to my brilliant sarcasm... 🙂
Onur released a statement to the press following that secret meeting with the Masons, where they were all huddled up discussing how to properly support our American veterans...
Do I really even need to go out on a limb and prove myself here? Honestly...
Morgan Howard6 said:What are we even talking about here? Those "treacherous plots cooked up in the halls of power"? 🙄
I mean, at least they didn't run out of big, fancy words when our local mediocrities try their hand at being "sarcastic."
I’d bet anything that little "joke" won't be part of their repertoire again until the "next Turkish occupation."
Fine then, let me try throwing in a little joke in that same "style"...
That was a terrible attempt at humor. Just don't bother again. But seriously, do you actually believe (and I really hope I'm wrong here 🤣) that Turkish soap operas are just another conspiracy against the suffering American people, which is why you were so drawn to my brilliant sarcasm? 🙂
Morgan Howard6 said:I really don't get why some people think it's clever to try and mimic Dežulović's or Tomić's pale, dry sense of humor.
First, find me an actual piece of copied text before you start acting like a hall monitor. And let’s get one thing straight: it isn't "humor," it's sarcasm. Don't sweat it.
Exactly. Those Turkish soap operas are nothing more than a calculated psychological operation cooked up by various interest groups in power centers to brainwash Americans into thinking those people—with their exotic looks, grating language, and terrible acting—are actually just totally friendly, normal folks. How did we not see through this sooner?
And let’s be real, Turks couldn't care less about us, and they clearly have a massive issue dealing with uncomfortable historical truths—not that it matters much given how they handle the whole Armenian genocide topic. If anyone ever filed a lawsuit regarding genocide, it could easily go both ways; thousands of Turks left their bones scattered across the fields near Sinj. I assume you all know that, thanks to the Blessed Lady. 😁
