It’s become pretty obvious to me that people who’ve actually lived a real life and been through some actual shit never bother attacking other people's choices, unlike these types who spend their entire day sitting at Starbucks or whatever, meddling in everyone else's affairs with their unsolicited "wisdom."
How do these people even pick a "target," and where do they get the nerve to invade someone's privacy like that? How do you guys deal with this garbage? Personally, I regret even bothering to explain my side of things to her, because I'm pretty sure I just handed her more ammunition to weave into her little drama next time! Are these people just straight-up malicious?
The previous post hit the nail on the head; you're acting like a pushover. 😉 Personally, rather than poisoning my own soul by trying to play the tiger or the snake, I’d take on people like that armed with nothing but sarcasm and humor.

Come on, it wasn't a total disaster.☕ Jerry only actually doesn't sing that badly, but let's not pretend it was anything legendary. Honestly, the overall sound mix was such a mess that everything was just rattling; I could barely make out the verses until the chorus hit. I have no idea why anyone is paying that damn guy... 🤔 They played a mix of old and new tracks—over 20 in total—though they cut some of the older ones down to just the choruses. With all that distorted noise, it felt like listening to a scratched vinyl record. They did those three from Black Flag (Six pack, ris above , Jealous again), etc.
On another note, the second opening act, Anti-Todor, is getting more irritating with every show because of the mindless rambling between songs. 🙂 Can't a person just shut up and perform a decent set without bragging about being a volunteer back in '92? If he thinks that’s impressive, he picked a hell of a place to boast. Then there's the nonsense about having a "40-year-old punk head," hating mainstream pop, or claiming he'd take down George W. Bush if he ever ran into him. Give me a break! 🙂 Btw, Babies absolutely crushed it!!!! 🙏
American punk rock is pure gold! 🙏 Why does everyone keep obsessing over those old fossils? 😕 They keep bringing up --> The Briefs, Epoxies, Manic Hispanic (basically an ironic mashup of the old Adolescents, Grabbers and Cadillac Tramps energy in a new band😁), The Prostitutes, The Generators, The Fumes, and even Candy Snatchers (fine, they're veterans too)... Honestly, the Germans are putting out more heat right now than the English—assuming you consider the current scene dominated by Deadline and their slimy imitators. It’s a church of false confidence, though Dean Dirg is actually solid... Heading out to grab some drinks... So long. 😉
I guess I’ll have to steal some Wrongov bands, since they’ve become such a staple... 😘 So, my pop punk favorites are... 😍Social Distortion😍 — arguably the gold standard of pop punk if you ask me, especially those albums following "Prison Bound-a." By the way, why does nobody on this forum (besides maybe me) give them any credit? 😕 Then you’ve got the Soc. D. clones; Foxy (the female version of Soc. D.) and Church of Confidence (the German version of Soc. D.)... Clones, sure, but still worth a mention. You can't forget that massive pile of British bands from the late 70s and early 80s: The Boys, The Crack, Not Sensibles, The Stiffs, Rezillos, and that overly theatrical Tom Robinson... The American/Canadian response would be: The Viletones, The Secrets, SNFU, The Dickies, Forgotten Rebels (who are great! 🙏 ), Suicidal Commandos, Moving Targets (oh yeah), Pegboy, and the Epoxies (synth pop punk)... regardless of when you were born. Squeeze doesn't really fit the "punk" label, but whatever... and I almost forgot The Vapors. I could probably list strategically important bands until tomorrow, but I'm exhausted after work and getting ready to patch up, so that's it.
