It seems to me that he’s appearing before the news cameras quite polished, yet notably without any protective gear.
What is the actual implication here? Does this suggest that he hasn't been at the office or in close contact with his staff for the past two weeks?
Or am I missing something else entirely?
I suppose the mere fact that he clearly isn't fulfilling his professional duties should be enough reason to hand him a pink slip immediately, though there might even be grounds for criminal prosecution if this situation continues to escalate.

Aren't archaeologists, by definition, the actual experts when it comes to ancient artifacts?

To be honest, I’ve pretty much given up on my usual summer setup. Every year I spend six to eight weeks out on Murter or the Kornat islands, but this year? I’m terrified none of that is happening...
Maybe Kornat might still be on the table, but Murter—given everything going on right now—I don't want to mess around... especially not with the kids, since one of them has dealt with serious respiratory issues in the past...
I don't know, I stay in touch with my folks, and when my old man—whose colleagues in the medical field can't find a single positive thing to say after talking amongst themselves—is looking at everything through such a pessimistic lens, I’m certainly not feeling much more optimistic than he is...
My first theory was that everything would stabilize by April 15th... but seeing how this is unfolding, June 15th isn't even a sure bet...
How this is going to hit the economy and how the "average" person is actually going to stomach it—man, it scares me just thinking about it.

The problem is, a group with similar ideas tried this before, and it didn't exactly go well...

The thread isn't being locked. ☕
A little debate makes things interesting.
Larry Wilson25 said:Why is everything stalling? (Not looking for an argument, they earned it). Is politics the main topic now?
If people can't keep up, they can always find another thread. I actually enjoy how the COVID-19 discussions transitioned into political debates.
I learned quite a bit from that thread. Why kill the momentum? I was following that topic back during the earthquake.
Charles Fox10?

To the Leadership, maintaining a base of traditionalist loyalists proves far more important than the actual health of families and the nation at large.
