Man, I feel for you—honestly, based on how I phrased my last post, I don't think I can be much help here! 🤷

If this keeps happening right when you hit send—rather than while you’re actually typing—try hitting backspace twice and then clicking "send" again. Honestly, that trick worked for me every single time! It sends the post without eating all your text.

Now, if it's glitching out while you're still in the middle of writing, I'm totally stumped. I'm definitely not some "tech guru" or anything, haha—so maybe hold out for someone else who knows their way around a keyboard.

If you want, check out the "Health" PDF or the "Alternative Medicine" one—you might find something in there that actually helps you out.

It’s honestly such a tough spot to be in when you won't even know the full scoop on your health situation for a few more months.

On one hand, maybe it makes sense to keep pushing forward with your studies, but then again, you could wait until those tests and results come back before making any big moves.
Either way, I really think your top priority should be getting your health sorted first.

Until you have some real answers about what's going on, just try to live your life as normally as possible and—if you can—try not to let the symptoms take over your headspace.
I know that sounds easier said than done, but seriously, just give it your best shot.

Maybe chatting with a therapist or counselor wouldn't hurt either, but hey, at the end of the day, you're the one who has to weigh everything and decide what's right for you.

First things first—you’ve gotta prioritize your health. It’s everything! Without it, trying to plan anything else is basically a fool's errand because, let's be real, nothing messes up your schedule faster than getting sick.

Maybe go ahead and hit up a doctor first? Just get some bloodwork or whatever tests they recommend based on what you're feeling—just to make sure everything is running smoothly under the hood.

Maybe that silence means they're dropping the beer version entirely 🤔

You totally did, so you're forgiven for turning an eight into a ten somewhere along the line! 😬 😉

rustydrifter10 said:They’ve already given you an answer, but honestly... In this thread... You can actually find answers to just about any question you have regarding how to use the forum right here. If you're looking for a breakdown on how the multiquote feature works, I've got a full explanation waiting for you! Here?.

You can find that button right here:

image

This text pops up whenever you hover your mouse over the quote section.

I checked there a while ago, but it wasn't explained nearly as well as you just did right here! 👍
The way they have it there—just one way to multiquote a single post—is honestly kind of useless to me, because all those quoted sections turn into this massive gray/blue blob on my screen, making the actual post totally unreadable 🙄
That button is right here:

image

The text only pops up once you hover your mouse over the quote area.

Hallelujah! 🙏
I was looking for it down below because that's how it looked in some other people's posts 🕺

I really think your explanation should be posted officially—like, added to those existing multiquote guides you linked to here.

It would make life so much easier for all the newbies, like me "tech-illiterates," 🙂
Thanks so much for the reply and for taking the time to help! 🙂

Thanks so much 🙂 I think I finally get it 🙂

But man, what a headache this whole combining thing is...
On the international forum where I’m actually a moderator now, you don't even have to mess around with combinations just to make a multi-quote post.
You basically just type your reply right under every specific part of the post you want to respond to, hit "post" at the end, and boom—you're done. 🤦

Moşe, you could split someone's post into 100 different pieces and answer every single bit with just one click at the very end...
Basically, you just hit "quote," reply to as many parts of their post as you want, and then hit "post."

But hey, whatever. Maybe we'll get a feature like that here in about a hundred years. 😬
Btw, that other forum is free and private too. 😉

Kevin Newman3 said:Gregory Ramirez2....I felt the same struggle, honestly. Let me try to break this down for you.....if you want to split up a single post to reply to it bit by bit, just use a standard quote block. You basically divide the text by sandwiching the specific part you're addressing between two markers...for example Gregory Ramirez2

which
then it clicks [normal quote, then you split the text so the beginning and end
of it

nonsense
Quote:

the post will have a name... like Gregory Ramirez2
, and at the end of the snippet you see
... then you just type your response to that specific part right after it, and you can do the same for the rest of the

goodness
that person's... basically, you need to have the copied snippet at both the start and the end... I know it sounds super complicated.... but just keep practicing... that's how I learned!

Bożja...

Why make things simple when you can make them complicated? 🤦

The font on that image is way too tiny 🙄

Can I get a magnifying glass for that pic? 😬

I tried blowing it up in a new window but it’s no use—everything just gets all blurry 🕺

I really wanted to drop a screenshot here so you guys could see exactly what's popping up on my monitor, but I think I can only paste it into Word 🤷

Just so you know—I'm totally clueless when it comes to technical PC stuff 🕺

I've only got three little boxes without any mountains 🤷

I listed which three I have over here:

PS: I've got:
"Quick replay on this mesage".
I tried highlighting the part of the text I wanted to quote and hitting that little box, but absolutely nothing happens!

Right next to that little box, there are other ones on the left side that say: "Multiquote" and "Quote".

Kevin Newman3 said:That part is actually pretty straightforward... just copy the text from the user you're replying to and click the icon to the right of the mountain image... best to just play around with it and see. 😬

What mountain? I don't have one! Am I supposed to pick something off a map or what? 😬

😂

I’m gonna need a massive glass of milk just to process what you wrote there 😵

Like—I get certain bits of it, I really do—but I just can't wrap my head around how it all fits together into one logical thought 🤷

The last little box appearing in my bottom right corner just says "Quick replay on this message."
I tried highlighting the specific section I wanted to quote and clicking that little box icon, but absolutely nothing happens.
That's how it is.

Besides that little square icon, I also have those boxes sitting right to its left labeled "Multiquote" and "Quote."
Let's try this one more time.

The multi-quote button works perfectly fine when I'm trying to select multiple posts at once, yet for some reason, it completely fails whenever I attempt to multi-quote just a single post.

I’ve already been slapped with a warning on this forum, which honestly seems ridiculous since I was just using dashes to separate posts instead of using the multi-quote feature. To make matters worse, the same moderator hasn't even bothered to answer my question regarding the rule, and frankly, I have no desire to pick up some pointless penalty point over something so trivial. 🤦

Somebody Help me, please? 🕺

By the way, I'm running Google Chrome on Windows 8.[/I]

Is that really how you see things? 😁
You need to head straight over to the advanced options—it’s located right next to the "Quick Reply" button. Once you click that, a whole suite of editing tools will pop up above the text box. If you aren't sure what a specific tool does, just hover your cursor over the icon and the description should appear.

I don't typically operate this way, and frankly, I'm not a fan of how this looks.

Thanks! I'll give that a shot. Quick question though—how do you do those multi-quotes for long posts?

Sometimes you just want to jump in and respond to specific parts of a post personally, right? I bet you feel the same way!

I'm trying to figure out how to quote things like in this post here: http://www.example-us-forum.com/showpost.php?p=5...&postcount=568

How do I multi-quote one single post?
Like, if a post is super long, how can I reply to specific parts of it separately?

I've looked everywhere, but I just can't find it.
I even checked here, but I don't have that checkbox for "Wrap tags around selected text."
The last box I see in the bottom right is "Quick reply to this message."
I tried highlighting the specific text I want to quote and clicking that button, but absolutely nothing happens.

Next to that button, I’ve got the "Multiquote" and "Quote" options sitting to the left.

The Multiquote thing works fine when I'm trying to grab multiple different posts, but it won't let me multiquote within a single post.

I actually already got a warning on the forum because I couldn't figure out how to multiquote one post, so I just split it up with dashes instead—and the same moderator who gave me the warning hasn't even replied to my PM about it! I really don't want to rack up any more useless strikes just because of this "glitch." 🤦

Somebody Help me, please? 🕺

Btw I'm using Google Chrome on Windows 8

PS: A few times I've just resorted to copy-pasting the same post over and over, quoting it multiple times, and then manually deleting all the extra stuff I don't need from each block.
But man, that takes forever—it totally kills the mood for quoting and makes it such a chore to respond to those longer posts.

Casey Bennett said:Just grab Tapatalk so you aren't constantly refreshing and missing out on everything—unless you're one of those folks still clinging to Windows 8.1, which is honestly just tragic at this point 😉

So, what are we supposed to install on a laptop or PC then?

Like, some sedatives? Or maybe something actually hardcore? 😬

Maria Gray45 said:Man, if I actually tried to write out the whole thing, it would just be one giant circus—honestly, I’d have to put on a whole damn show just to get through it!

And honestly? You could even argue that this is actually one of the best things about being on this forum! 🙂
People really end up picking up all sorts of random side hustles they’d never normally touch—it's wild! 😂

Look, as a former moderator myself—trust me when I say this—I know some of the mods hanging out here right now probably feel pretty clueless about everything going down lately. And honestly? It’s not like they have total control over all of this anyway!
Most of the time, those guys are just "security" rather than actual tech crews—so they usually can't even touch anything when stuff starts going sideways!
Even the mods get stumped sometimes—honestly, they have no clue what to tell everyone when things go sideways! Since they’re kept in the dark about what’s actually happening or how long a glitch might last, they're just waiting on word from the IT guys or the admin team before they can give us the real scoop. 🤷

Hey there, awesome mod! 👋
Is there any way we could get some cool explanations here instead of just having posts nuked because they're hitting a little too close to home with the truth? 😁

Also—quick question—can those three cute little dark gray dots that bounce around during those super sweet topic titles be swapped out for something even cuter? Like, maybe three strawberries, cherries, or even some little mixed berries? 😬

Oh, and I saw someone mentioning the "back" button—just a heads up, that works fine on a PC, but it’s a total pain on a mobile device! 😉

Honestly, this whole thing is starting to get kind of funny 😬

For three days straight, it’s been happening constantly—every single time I write a post and hit "submit," instead of my message actually showing up on the forum, I just get hit with a total blank white screen 😍

I can't decide if it's trying to symbolize pure innocence or if the site is just surrendering to me 😬
