Besides, nobody opened up topics quite like he did. 😉

As for the other nonsense—well, we all mess up sometimes. 😉

Is it possible he’s only allowed to exist in Formula 1 and at the sportsbook?

But by day two, I have to wear two pairs of pants everywhere because the blood just pours down my legs. No exaggeration. I’m wearing double socks, underwear, boxers, tights, and pants, and it still leaks through... on that second day, it’s literally pouring out of me, just straight blood without any mucus. By day three, things return to normal, and the whole thing lasts six days. Is that enough of a reason to see a gynecologist?

My last two cycles were exactly like that. Apparently, it's caused by a hormonal imbalance—super high estrogen and almost no progesterone. My hormones are always a mess anyway, starting with my thyroid and going from there.

Emily Barrett74 said:Ever since you "hired" that moderator, bluemason3, he’s been relentlessly targeting the long-standing members who represent the "alternative" side of things and hold dissenting views. He’s practically hunting them down with penalties—myself included ( simultaneously turning a complete deaf ear (both him and the rest of the staff) to actual reports regarding trolls (take this one, for instance: It’s reached a point where many people have either been banned outright or simply walked away from contributing altogether after being slapped with undeserved strikes.
The other moderators, like unknown for example, are rendered completely powerless. They just sit there like bystanders, watching the chaos unfold. This guy actually shut down the "Mystery" sub-forum under the pretense that it was too cluttered and "difficult" for him to manage. After a wave of complaints, he even deleted his own thread regarding that decision.
It is glaringly obvious that there are no established criteria and absolutely no sense of professional conduct here. Before he stepped into this role, he never once spoke up against the spread of hate speech coming from the "alternative" crowd. In fact, unless I personally reached out to the admin present here, those types would never have received a single ban or warning. Now, those very same users are back in full force. They are spreading vitriol, provoking arguments, and trolling with their most insidious jokes. Yet, the moderator just lets it all slide while aggressively driving away the people he can't stand. He even had the audacity to mock us, asking, "well, what even is an 'alternativist'?" when people called him out for killing the mystery section.

Perhaps you should just scrap this entire "alternative" faction entirely? Since its existence seems to be so incomprehensible to management.

What do you mean I don't get to express myself? I had my own thread on the PŽK before Belkija did. 😁

If alternative medicine is just selling snake oil like you claim, then this whole thread should be shut down immediately. But here's the thing: alternative medicine has plenty of media coverage. I just finished listening to a local radio segment about an alternative healer where everyone was swearing by him—every single story started the same way: "I tried this or that conventional drug, and it didn't work..." If that radio station isn't terrified of getting sued, why should bluemason3 and I be scared?

And one more thing: who gave you the authority to decide how this thread is moderated when you aren't even a moderator? If you're that desperate to moderate the place, go talk to the person in charge and ask them to appoint you. Neither I nor bluemason3 asked to be moderators.

What exactly is in their posts that warrants being deleted? Are they bothering people by simply revealing the basic principles of elementary biology, chemistry, and physics?

I have zero issues with Lastan. The guy is just sharing his opinion, which he's entitled to do as long as he doesn't break any forum rules. As for steelsurfer42, he just repeats the same watered-down point until the thread becomes unreadable, and Chronic Vlado is constantly off-topic.

And since when do I have to answer to you?

shadowpilot8 said:Philosophical debates aside, I fail to see how bluemason3 and Ryan Gomez4 don't realize they could face legal action. Allowing moderators to permit advice that endangers health and lives is a massive liability. 😁

bluemason3, stop philosophizing and start using common sense. Imagine someone you care about is critically ill and seriously considering an alternative treatment promoted on this forum instead of going to a hospital. Would you go after the moderator who allowed it 😉? This isn't a matter of opinion; it's basic logic. You have to draw a line. No one is talking about all alternative medicine—just cancer treatment. With nothing else are the consequences of neglecting medical care so dramatic

Most people turn to alternatives because mainstream medicine gave up on them for one reason or another, and it's not just about cancer. I don't have cancer, but my doctor told me there was no point in treating me because my chances of recovery were zero. First off, that's just wrong, and second, it's incredibly rude, but it's not illegal. So why should it be illegal to try to save yourself some other way?

shadowpilot8 said:Ryan Gomez4, I hope you're joking. 😁

What are the odds that life doesn't end in death? Zero. Doctors don't go around killing people; they simply use the tools they have to provide the best care possible. When it comes to cancer treatment, those tools eventually run out. It’s perfectly reasonable for people to look into alternative medicine because hope is a powerful thing. But believe me, I've seen it happen: once a patient abandons standard care for an alternative method and the family disagrees, that same family will sue everyone in sight once the patient passes—regardless of how terminal the illness was. People accept death under a doctor, but they won't accept it under an alternative practitioner. That's the reality.

First off, regarding the bolded part, the second half is dead wrong. In my experience, most doctors will try to do as little as possible—or better yet, nothing at all. Unless, of course, you're hitting up a private specialist who's getting paid a fortune; then they'll treat you for things you don't even have.

shadowpilot8 said:This reminds me of the issues we faced at the Department of Commerce regarding Forex, back before we banned covert advertising and started issuing instant bans. Now, the discussions surrounding Forex are civilized, intelligent, and free from those who prey on human stupidity.

As a medical professional, I have one piece of advice for the moderators of Alternative: never, under any circumstances, allow someone to advise others to abandon conventional medicine, lest they face legal repercussions. That choice belongs solely to the patient and their family. If they wish to supplement conventional medicine with midnight-harvested dew, so be it. However, anyone claiming that such dew can cure them—or insisting they quit conventional treatments in favor of it—should be banned immediately and their post deleted.

Well, I'm in construction. If a piece of scaffolding or a heavy beam falls on someone at my job site, the OSHA inspectors, safety officers, and the police are all over us instantly—even if nobody gets seriously hurt. But when a patient dies under a doctor's care? Nothing happens. The family might try a private lawsuit, but most of the time, it goes nowhere. So, before you start lecturing anyone about accountability, maybe start taking responsibility for your own actions first.

bluemason3 said:And who exactly gets to decide which topics are allowed and which ones aren't on the alternative board? You? 😁

I'm not bringing this up as some kind of tactical "lever" to win an argument; I'm presenting it as a genuine possibility that deserves actual consideration. To be clear, I’m not just talking about alternative medicine in a vacuum—the core issue clearly lies within the standard medical approach itself. If skeptics start dictating what can be said about alternatives, and doctors start policing what counts as alternative medicine, then the whole concept loses its purpose. In a debate like this, finding middle ground is tough. It feels like one side or the other is eventually going to have to lose. 🤷
If you want to talk to a lawyer, try this approach: go see one and tell them your brother passed away from some illness because some guy talked him into drinking soap suds instead of getting actual cancer treatment. Then ask if you have any grounds for a lawsuit.
Look, I’m no lawyer, so everything I say is just my two cents. But honestly? Any attorney would be jumping for joy at the thought of their contingency fee on this one. They’d jump at the chance to take this case.

We'll see. 🤔 But if that's actually the case, then there’s really no point to that PDF at all. 🤷

I agree again. There are plenty of specialized forums out there where people post whatever they want without anyone complaining, probably because the people who hate it don't even hang out there. Ultimately, it's up to the owner of the forum to decide if they actually want a "controversial" sub-forum on their site.

Maybe it isn't strictly illegal, but it is certainly reckless. And frankly, I don't consider recklessness to be a virtue.

Besides, there are plenty of cases where parents have been held accountable in court for refusing standard medical care for their children.

Yeah, and what does your example have to do with people getting scammed on internet forums?

hollowtrucker77 said:Alright, let's please stop repeating this tired mantra about banning alternative views.
🙂
If we actually followed that logic, we'd have to ban spirituality and religion too...

As for the legal side of things, try this scenario: go see a lawyer and tell them your brother passed away from an illness because some guy talked him into drinking soap suds instead of getting actual therapy, and ask if you have grounds for a lawsuit.
Look, I'm not a lawyer, so everything I'm saying is strictly my own take, but I suspect any decent attorney would be jumping for joy at the prospect of that case, thinking about the percentage they could pull from the settlement; they'd jump at the chance to take it on.

hollowtrucker77, I asked a lawyer at the office about this. He backed off, saying it’s not his specialty, but he thinks there's no case here. It would be nearly impossible to prove that someone died specifically because they chose soap over cancer treatment instead of getting medical help.

steelsurfer42 said:What a beautiful way to dodge the point. It’s obvious these alternative medicine peddlers have plenty of experience twisting things.

So, let me remind everyone once again why this whole thing was even started in the first place.

Ryan Gomez4 singled out one specific side (I won't get into which one right now), and honestly, it was mostly unjustified—especially when she started nuking posts.
From the looks of it, she’ll be holding back on handing out sanctions for simply stating facts for a while (hopefully for good). In that sense, I guess it partially worked.

Look, it’s a fact that there's no point in defending stupidity, but that’s not what we're talking about here. This is about stopping people—people who clearly lack even a shred of morality—from exploiting that stupidity. The government, just like any other organized group, exists to prevent exactly that.
The fact that some of you clearly hate that isn't my problem. You love to play the victim, so I wouldn't be surprised if you eventually find some legal loophole that makes it perfectly okay to tell people to go kill themselves. At the end of the day, the psychic Milan moved over here precisely because selling snake oil on TV is banned in places like the UK, but it's totally fine here in the States.

If you start throwing around your "wonderful" vocabulary again (idiot, moron, etc.), I'm deleting those posts immediately.

Just sharing my take with bluemason3. Honestly, there’s no point in arguing this further until we get a real legal opinion. By the way, everyone here thinks they’re a legal expert, but being a pseudo-lawyer is just as bad as being a quack.

Alright, I want an honest answer from everyone who thinks this kind of rule-breaking is fine: do you actually find races more interesting when they play like this, or do you prefer it when teammates act like Webber and Vettel?

I agree with Mark Webber on this one; I really like his perspective. 👍

Look, last season wasn't exactly irritating, but it wasn't anything to write home about either. Now? It’s actually pretty cool.

I’m with Mark Webber on this one. He’s got a point. 🙂

Those three things just don't go together. 😁

McLaren handles these situations in much more subtle, simpler ways anyway. And in any case, it's more efficient for the crew. Not necessarily a bad thing; quite the opposite, actually.

As for the British media? Don't you think they'd much rather have a handsome, tall, polished English gentleman as their champion than some rough-around-the-edges guy? 😁

Just look at him. 😳😁

I didn't see this coming, but I'm totally on board with what the American public wants. 😍

redheron12 said:kajgod pila, I honestly think McLaren just used this to settle their internal hierarchy once and for all. You can't have drivers tearing each other apart on track like we saw at Red Bull, and you can't explicitly order Lewis to let someone pass at the finish line like they do at Ferrari—but you can always "accidentally" forget a wheel nut cover and let the natural order restore itself within the team.

I don't know if you've noticed, but since then, Button has been consistently slower—almost as if his car isn't right—and his attitude has become much more subdued. Meanwhile, Lewis seems absolutely bursting with confidence, driving the best car he's ever had. It reminds me a bit of listening to Kovalainen 😁

A higher power will handle the natural order. 😛
