Look, any tinkering with the forum settings is basically putting the hamster at risk 🤣

Alright, being serious here 😬 :khm:

Come on now 🤣 ..could use a little support? 😍 😛

Just kidding—doesn't really matter to me anyway. I don't have many... upbeat and energetic 🤣 users like you on my feed, so I'm not losing sleep over it. It's just... I'm worried our resident hamster wouldn't handle such an elementary shift in the entire forum's vibe. He'd probably have a heart attack 🙂

honestly, I’m finding myself more and more against it...🤣

Personally, I’d suggest you just start a whole new thread asking, "should we run a poll about increasing the number of smileys," because otherwise, nothing is ever going to happen here.

And for God's sake, don't forget to include a poll in that one too. 🙄

Me too—this much is just tacky.

I'd allow one per post—or maybe two, just so people can actually quote stuff.☕

Those aren't jokes—they're just insults that didn't even bother trying to pass as humor👎
Get lost—you're off-topic here.

If it’s their first offense—maybe.

But most of the people actually interested in it got pardoned anyway—and if they didn't, they probably will.

So there isn't much point to any of this.🤷
Honestly, you both have a point—partially. The issue lies somewhere in the middle. Like I said, trolling isn't inherently the problem, especially if it's actually clever. A little bit of trolling can spark a debate, which drives up the post count, which in turn drives more clicks. And we all know this site exists for the clicks ☕
.
That said, there has to be some level of restraint. When people show up just to drop brainless one-liners that make zero sense, it turns into a circus, obviously.

Then there’s the crowd that doesn't know how to handle a troll—they get it, but instead of responding, they just start whining, spamming emojis, and calling for the mods. Meanwhile, those same people will troll the second they get the chance. It drives me crazy, and frankly, it’s usually that exact group that ruins a thread with their stupidity. If you see someone trolling, either ignore them or shut them down with actual arguments 🙄
.
It's the same story with people who don't even follow the league, yet they jump in to troll because there's plenty of material or enough naive users to bait
.
When you put it all together, you don't end up with a debate seasoned with trolling; you just get a pile of nonsense that isn't interesting, funny, or anything positive. It sucks.

So, what's the fix? Start a live chat, I guess ☕
.
Just kidding—we'll talk it out, but things are definitely going to change
.
P.S. If anyone has feedback regarding the moderators, please move that conversation over to the Private Lounge 😉

Nah, it’s not about the Real vs. Barça rivalry itself—that's fine. The issue is that these debates always devolve into a complete circus.
It’s tough—if I don't say impossible—to separate those kinds of discussions. And trolling in a thread actually meant for trolling isn't really trolling ☕

Quality trolling has always been part of the Soccer PDF DNA. What we're seeing on Example is just pathetic trolling combined with stupid off-topic spam. Nothing is going to change right now since the season is wrapped up, but there will definitely be changes starting next season—I agree that this current setup makes zero sense.
don't open this by accident 🤣
We need to create some kind of obligation—otherwise, this whole thing will just inevitably dwindle down to two guys and three minor leagues.

Look, you can open it if you want, but without several different leagues involved, there won't be any interest or anyone actually following it.
Look, this isn't a chat room.

I’ve spent some time digging through the other leagues—there's plenty of material there for the lower English divisions—so I'll probably open a thread if the forum crowd actually wants it.

The topic for the European cups will have to wait, at least until every single league and cup across the continent wraps up and we finally see how the clubs shake out on the lists.

Also, just a reminder about Jeffrey Edwards76's idea to start threads for live text coverage of the leagues. After the initial hype died down, almost nobody stepped up for any of them—which is a shame, because the concept is solid. If anyone's actually interested, don't be shy, just reach out. ☕
Should we start a dedicated thread for the lower tiers of the Fifth Division? 🤷

🤷Since both the B-League and the Spanish second division are gaining momentum...
I’m leaning more toward having one single thread for South American soccer—covering all the leagues plus the continental tournaments. We could do it in stages, though—maybe start a dedicated thread for the Brazilian league and then fold the others in as their seasons kick off. It feels a bit pointless to be moving the Argentine league out of "other leagues" right in the middle of their season 🤷
If that actually happens and the forum crowd shows any interest in discussing it, we'll pull it out of the main thread—separate it from the rest. Until then, nothing.
What's the issue here, man?

My take—this thread could easily rack up a ton of posts over time, so I pulled it out separately. We hit over 100 in a single day. I don't know why you're so obsessed with post counts on Reddit, but frankly, I couldn't care less—if I think something deserves its own space, I'm going to make it happen. It's not written in stone that every football discussion has to be squeezed into a few existing threads.

And no, that thread about Mazzarri isn't staying—it just doesn't have the legs to turn into a real discussion.

If you aren't a fan of this explanation, feel free to head over to the subreddit.

Who says? 🤷
Ashley Bailey6 said:There isn't a thread for current transfers here. 🤷

Not within the first three pages, anyway.

Hardly surprising—the transfer window doesn't open for another two months, so I'm mostly just afraid of a flood of unverified nonsense and baseless rumors. But sure, someone could start one.

silverbear38 said:Is there actually a thread dedicated to junior league soccer? I honestly feel like the intensity and the level of play in those youth academies are way more intense than what you see in the senior leagues these days.🤣

In America? I think there used to be one somewhere, but I can't track it down. Not sure if starting one at the end of the season even makes sense—but if you're feeling it, go ahead. Just don't limit it strictly to the juniors, and definitely don't restrict it to the current season.
