The Crow in Movies ·
I suppose, considering the genre, I find the film quite compelling—though I have this habit of trying to look past the performance to find the actor underneath. I want to see the man behind the mask, what he truly stands for, and what he actually believes in... only then does Eric Draven truly feel complete. The idea of a soul returning from the Underworld to right a wrong is fascinating, even if the path taken is inherently flawed—one crime inevitably triggering another, much like a chain of lies. Yet, at its core, the primary driver is faith. A belief that through love and a singular desire for vengeance, even the seemingly impossible can occur.😳

Out here in the middle of nowhere, getting a decent movie release feels like waiting for a miracle—it’s practically out of God's reach—so I’m eagerly anticipating this one, though I'm trying not to get my hopes up too high to avoid a massive letdown...😬

Mark Johnson5 said:I honestly don't see the point in video game adaptations. In the games themselves, characters like Agent Price are often written quite shallowly—which isn't even a flaw, really—because it works perfectly when the focus is on the action rather than endless dialogue. There are a few rare exceptions where developers actually put in the work to deliver an incredible story alongside great mechanics, but usually, the plot just serves as a foundation for the gameplay. Now, if you turn that into a movie, you have to wonder: is it actually going to be interesting? When you're watching a screen, you're just a passive observer instead of an active participant in the experience. Maybe these adaptations are only meant for the hardcore fans who live and breathe the franchise. Personally, I’ve played Hitman, but there is absolutely no way I’m sitting through a movie ☕

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion—and certainly the right to share it—but refusing to watch the film seems like a massive missed opportunity to me...🙄 Especially since you claim to have played the game, yet you insist the stories are shallow? You played Max Payne??? In that case, please, do enlighten me again regarding that "shallow" narrative...😠

Timothy Olyphant is playing Agent 47, so as far as the acting goes, there’s really nothing to worry about—the guy will nail his part, likely even better than you'd expect. If you take a closer look at the game, 47 is incredibly reserved, calm, and doesn't waste words; that's exactly what we can anticipate from the film. The other reason—and why I'm actually relieved he landed the role—is that Vin Diesel was originally considered. Don't get me wrong, I think he's great, but this specific character just wouldn't have fit him...

It’ll be fine!👍 😎

Gentlemen—are we really talking about Rocky, Jean-Claude Van Damme, or Steven Seagal? Or perhaps Gladiator and L.A. Confidential? Good grief...😘 😲

Jamie Wood5 said:imagine if Mirko Cro Cop and Jean-Claude Van Damme got hammered on some cheap moonshine out in the Midwest and started causing chaos 😬what a scene that would be

Exactly, exactly🤣 👍 🙏 😘 😬 that would be a scene straight out of Kickboxer

But in all seriousness—his popularity really peaked here during our turbulent 90s, back when the world seemed interested in nothing but mindless violence (not that things have changed much today, I suppose...) and I have to admit, both he and Steven Seagal were my heroes growing up. As for the claim that he never competed in actual tournaments—that isn't quite right. He did fight; he just happened to lose most of them. If you bother to look it up—there are plenty of old fan sites online—you'll see the record. Regardless of the details, he remains an untouchable legend to me, and frankly, I don't care if people dismiss his movies as total garbage...😛

Jean-Claude Van Damme 👍
