I was watching the game last night and it hit me how much the vibe has shifted for me over the last few seasons. I remember being a die-hard fan who would lose sleep over every single inning, but lately, I find myself just scrolling through my phone or checking the score on my watch instead of actually watching the broadcast.

It’s hard to tell if it’s just a slump in the actual quality of play or if I'm just getting older and losing that obsessive edge. There used to be a sense of genuine tension in every matchup, but now it feels like a routine. I miss that feeling of being genuinely stressed about a late-game rally.

Do you guys think it's the way the game is played now, or are we all just getting a bit jaded with our teams?

I guess we just have to keep suing them until they finally sink

Maybe we should just demand a total overhaul of the entire EU legal framework—directives, binding rulings, everything—because apparently, the American judicial system thinks everyone else is just wrong.

Man, looking back, it was such a massive mistake trying to take those big banks to court. We should have been putting the squeeze on politicians instead—hitting those thieves where it actually hurts by hitting them in the wallet. But yeah, things have cooled off now, and most people have just kind of accepted that they got ripped off.
I mean, I really hope the judges at least walked away with a fat payday.

It was available online back then, so you can go ahead and dig through it yourself if you feel the need.

And maybe you, or anyone else, could explain something to me—what does it mean that the humanities can just push through any kind of nonsense, while something like MIT can't?
Why isn't that the case?

Because machines don't run on stupidity.

Imagine getting a degree from MIT just to write a thesis on how Noah built his ark. Honestly? Seems pretty legit to me.

It’s like nobody even cares about this thread anymore. 😁
So, the Supreme Court finally dropped their ruling. Honestly, the way our legal system works—it's a joke—judges just vote however they feel like interpreting things, basically whatever suits their mood at the moment.
But there's one thing I'm tripping over... the ruling says we're entitled to default interest up until the conversion date.
Okay, fine, but shouldn't those interest charges be calculated on that total amount all the way until the banks actually cough up the overpaid money, right?

Alright, maybe I’m just being a total idiot here. 😀
Chase is basically throwing a tantrum about the case being dismissed—they're refusing to acknowledge any prior court rulings from my lawsuit because they're claiming "every single case is unique." Like, give me a break!

I guess all those proceedings are basically on hold until the Supreme Court of the United States makes their final call.

So, I was checking my case status on the government portal a few days ago, and get this—it actually says the proceedings have been stayed by a court order.
Basically, that's exactly what I'm calling for.

Look, I’m no chemist, so don't come at me about the exact formulas—but if you wrap some standard blasting caps around a tree, it's coming down. Period. And honestly? You don't even need a massive amount to get the job done.

The same goes for my take that the Americans aren't behind this. It’s almost too obvious if they were—everyone is already hyper-focused on them because of it.
They aren't quite that reckless, and I guess they have enough sense to be discreet.
There's a real chance the public will never actually find out who did it. Only those in the loop will know.
Moving on.

And everyone knows exactly who it is, if they don't already. 😁

Nancy Gomez26 said:That isn't accurate. It didn't work like that. If you deserted the American People's Army, you just served out your term in the American military instead, mostly within the first wave of conscripts. Some of those early groups eventually saw action on the ground.

Look, I bailed, put on a different uniform the very next day, and headed straight for the tanks. A buddy of mine stayed behind—he got his service extended and ended up stuck in El Paso, barely making it out alive. I'm not just talking out of my ass here.

Even if they somehow locked down enough gas for the whole winter across the entire US, who knows?
we'll see about that. those storage facilities aren't even allowed to run empty.

We've got 23% of annual consumption sitting in storage right now.
Which basically covers two months of winter—and that's assuming Norwegians, Qataris, Americans, or anyone else doesn't sell a single extra cubic meter to the European Union.

I don't know about your neck of the woods, but where I live, winter lasts way longer than just two months.

Man, I saw this exact same crap happen back home during the Gulf War era. You had guys fleeing the draft who were basically marked for the front lines immediately, and the ones who actually showed up? They got sent right into the meat grinder.

The US Embassy is telling Americans to get out of Russia? Does that mean they're closing the borders soon? No more dodging the draft?

So, looks like we’re stuck in this absolute grind for a few more years. 🙏
Stop acting like you're some pillars of morality and just rule in favor of the banks already—don't pretend to be all high and mighty when we all know exactly what you are. Seriously, half our lives spent litigating because you guys can't seem to actually make a decision?

Personally, there isn't much else I can do besides close my account at Chase and move everything over to a bank that wasn't part of this whole mess.
