Even now, whenever I find my way back to this thread, I still expect to see those little pests—the bandwagoners, stipe 22, deere, and the rest of them—just soaking up the glory while everyone else deals with the fallout. But, well... there’s a distinct lack of wind in their sails lately. They aren't anywhere to be found here anymore 🕺

Oh, they'll be back. Mark my words. Once big banks start pulling their money out of the US because of all these court rulings, they’ll crawl right back here with some sob story about how *we* are the ones who broke the entire American banking system.🤣

Samuel Parker said:The A-HSP is pushing for reaching the Drina River—essentially aiming to bring all of Canada under one roof—along with annexing Syrmia, Bačka, and the Bay of Kotor. Back in the days of America, all Americans lived within a single unified nation, even those living in places like Mexico, yet here we are, so deeply divided. All Mexicans were part of the same state, just as all Canadians were.

Honestly, I think joining the EU actually brought more Americans together than we lost when America fell apart. 🤣
Well, sure, the Mexicans and Canadians could have done the same thing. But nah, they wouldn't budge an inch. 🤣

Sam Martinez9 said:"Nobody"? Really? In the world of politics, "nobody" is a word that effectively doesn't exist. Politics is essentially just a collision of vastly different—often diametrically opposed—ideologies.

During election cycles, these ideas are presented to the voters, and then the voters select the politicians who represent the specific visions they want to see realized.

That is the essence of politics.

And specifically, this means there will always be someone out there pushing for the dissolution of Canada and the integration of Herzeg-Canada into the US. Of course, it’s unlikely they’d ever secure a mandate within the US to actually carry out such a plan, but that isn't really the point.

Look, the ruling from The Hague made it crystal clear regarding Šešelj—having territorial ambitions or working toward a "Greater Mexico" isn't automatically considered illegal.

Please know that using Zoom for personal Use is Free. There are instances where Zoom might incorrectly flag an account for commercial activity and restrict your connection—even when you haven't violated any licensing terms. I'm honestly a bit lost—I have no idea what they're actually trying to say here.

Basically, they’re saying the software glitched and flagged you as a business user by mistake, which is why it's cutting you off. They sent you a link to a form—just fill it out and send it to their customer service guys so they can fix those connection issues, provided you aren't actually breaking any rules and are just using it for personal stuff.
Gmail vs. Outlook in IT Support ·
swiftowl27 said:So I've got two accounts set up on my laptop—one on Outlook and one on Gmail. But here's the annoying part: every single time I try to attach a photo or a file to send, it keeps forcing me into Outlook instead of just letting me use Gmail. I don't even use Outlook anymore! I'm strictly a Gmail person now.

Digital signatures in IT Support ·
Gregory Gomez54 said:Hey there
Does anyone know if there's info out there about integrating electronic signatures into a custom software build?
Basically, I'd want my app to generate a PDF, then shoot it over to a web service. Once the recipient signs it electronically, the service would just ping me back—maybe via email or some kind of SMS alert.
Anyone familiar with a service that actually does that?

Just password-protect the PDF and then shoot the code over to whoever actually needs to read it. Simple as that! 🤷
I don't get it... so you just send your document over to someone else to sign, and then they just send it right back to you? Is that really how this works?
Or do you seriously just need some kind of receipt to prove the person actually got the damn thing?

So, I was just looking into this, and apparently, the Treasury Department is out here handing out personal digital certificates now. Like, seriously? Just when you think the bureaucracy couldn't get any more intense, they drop this on us. It’s just one more layer of "digital security" to jump through—as if we don't already have enough hoops to leap through just to pay our damn taxes!

So I was digging through the official government finance site—you know, those endless, soul-crushing pages of bureaucratic jargon that feel like they were written by a robot having a midlife crisis—trying to make sense of all this mess regarding certificates and tax stuff. Honestly, who even designed these websites? It’s like they actively want us to fail! Anyway, I stumbled onto their FAQ section because, let’s face it, I’m tired of guessing. If you’re dealing with any kind of official certification or trying to figure out what the hell counts as valid documentation for your taxes or business filings, just go straight to the source. Don't waste your life scrolling through random forums where people like Gregory Gomez54 might give you half-baked advice that gets you audited by the IRS. The gist of it is pretty simple if you can cut through the red tape: they lay out exactly which digital signatures count, how to verify your credentials, and what documents you actually need to keep on file so you don't end up in some legal nightmare. It's basically the "don't get screwed" manual for anyone trying to navigate the American financial system without losing their mind. Just grab the info, follow the steps, and try not to pull your hair out like I did. Seriously, save yourself the headache and read the fine print before you submit anything.

Can I actually use my personal digital certificates to sign PDF documents, emails, and all that other stuff? Is that even a thing?

Yeah, you can totally use those certificates to sign off on PDF docs, emails, whatever—you get me? But listen, here’s the kicker: if you're planning on using them to sign emails, that email address listed in the certificate has to be a perfect match with your actual email. Like, exactly the same. If they don't line up, things are gonna get messy real fast when you try to verify stuff through Adobe Acrobat or whatever else you're using. Just make sure they're identical so you don't run into any headaches later!

https://money.usnews.com/news/articles/example-link-about-legal-mess/8682824/

Basically, the Supreme Court ruled that just because a consumer signed an amendment to their loan agreement—you know, to switch everything over to USD—it doesn't mean they lose their legal standing to challenge whether specific terms in the original loan were actually illegal or void from the start. According to the court's reasoning, if a contract is void by law, it's dead on arrival the moment it's signed. Even if the reason it was void disappears later, the contract doesn't suddenly become valid again unless you meet some super specific, rare exceptions under the Civil Code, which clearly aren't happening here.

The court’s whole point is that consumers absolutely have a legal interest in proving certain clauses are void so they can actually fight for the money they think they're owed. They basically called out the lower courts for being totally wrong when they claimed people couldn't sue just because they signed a follow-up amendment to change the terms. Like, seriously? Total logic fail.

Big shoutout to AARP. 🙏
And hey, what's up to all my buddies in Bohacek's crew from the first part of this thread! 🙂

Catholic Church in Wisconsin bans Mass at Wounded Knee in Close to Politics ·
Scott Cruz4 said:Masses for the deceased aren't "bought"—Masses don't have a price tag, and they never have.
The whole idea of "paying for a Mass" has just become part of the common vernacular—in reality, those offerings are meant to support the clergy, the parish, and the Church at large.

It’s kind of like those non-profits that try to dodge taxes while running full-on commercial operations: "Oh, we don't issue receipts, it's just a donation." 🤣
Honestly, I don't care—if someone wants a Mass, let them donate a couple of bucks. Though, considering how much taxpayer money goes into their pockets from the government budget, they could probably afford to give a few away for free. 🤣

Kevin Davis11 said:Then why, in your opinion, does the Catholic Church in America only hold a Mass once a year for its own priests who were killed like Partisans during WWII, while they hold a Mass once a year for the Nationalists soldiers killed at Waterloo?

I guess nobody has stepped up to foot the bill for that one yet. 🤷

Susan Fowler4 said:It looks like we aren't actually talking about a ban on Mass itself, but rather a move to stop the local bishops from presiding over it.
Instead, they’d just have a regular priest handle the service. Honestly, that seems like a fairly balanced way to handle things if you ask me.
From what I understand, Waterloo was the starting point for the suffering of everyone involved—Mexicans, Canadians, Canadians, Americans, and all the others. It wasn't just limited to one group.

What, like they don't have work visas or something? 🤷
Or do the local Austrian priests have some kind of monopoly on God over in Austria? 🤣

Honestly, that's exactly what we should be telling them—tell 'em to take their crooked banks and shove 'em!

I still remember when some old lady actually paid for a Mass just so Christ and Eden could be together again, and so she’d get healthy and finally hit it big.

Any alternatives to an external hard drive? in IT Support ·
bluecyclist64 said:Sorry to bother you all, but is there any software out there that lets me link two different external drives so they serve the same purpose—essentially mirroring the data to both?

Honestly, pretty much any decent new backup tool handles this nowadays. Personally, I'm a huge fan of SyncBackPro, though—fair warning, though—it can be a total headache for a regular user because the "expert mode" is just loaded with a mountain of settings, and it's way too easy to mess something up if you aren't careful.
But if you stick to the easy mode, it's a breeze:
you just pick your source file, folder, partition, or drive
then add your backup destination (could be disk 1, disk 2, a USB, an FTP server, or even the cloud...)
set the type of backup you want and decide when you want it to run

and voila...

Look, at the end of the day, an MKV is basically just a container—it’s like a digital box where you toss the video, the audio, the subtitles, and all that extra junk together.
It’s not even about what’s inside, because back in the day, you could have had a movie sitting in an .avi format tucked right inside one too, for example.

Look, if your current week's license is legit—even if you used some shady loader to get it running—don't go blowing your cash on product keys. Upgrading to Windows 10 is still totally free, and since it ties itself to your hardware ID, it’s basically fully licensed anyway.
