Andrew Moore15 said:Hmmmm. Yes and no. Generally speaking, you could argue that PADI-Jev tables are always a bit more conservative since their whole reputation is built on avoiding decompression dives whenever possible. Meanwhile, those following the CMAS style tend to lean on Hahn-Bühlmann or other models—like the US Navy ones—which are a touch more "relaxed." So, sure, you could say PADI divers are more cautious. But (and it's a massive "but") that’s all very subjective. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter much which organization signed off on your certification; what matters is who your instructor was and what kind of diver you actually are. Can you balance? Do you freak out under pressure? How fast are you burning through your air? That's the real metric. The old-school CMAS crowd—those "scuba-saurs"—and especially the PADI folks love to bicker over methodology, but if you ask me, it's just noise. Empty talk. Both paths teach essentially the same thing, perhaps just through a different lens, but you still have to master the exact same skills to survive. End of story.
It is a complete falsehood to suggest that training methodology—the theory and the practice—doesn't matter. An instructor needs more than just personal experience; they need a deep reservoir of theoretical knowledge regarding diving physiology. If it didn't matter, we wouldn't have hundreds of pages of professional diving literature; we wouldn't have massive textbooks, just little picture books for beginners. If you want real substance, try finding one of the works by Professor Gošović, a true pioneer in diving science. They can be expensive, certainly, but the knowledge contained within them is priceless.🙂
Well, if things didn't go down through peaceful and honest channels—and it’s pretty obvious they didn't, as someone pointed out earlier—then perhaps it's better for everyone involved to just part ways. It might be worth trying to become decent neighbors rather than continuing this endless cycle of fighting one another.
I see some people are actually celebrating the toxic atmosphere within the national team or the possibility of a total fallout, but personally, unlike certain others, I find absolutely no joy in that.

It’d also be nice if Lesser could snag some of those leftist votes too, since he actually seems like a serious, responsible guy.
I feel like it’s high time we finally exposed that whole anti-American Republican-Democrat coalition and swapped them out for some actual, decent politicians who give a damn about their work and aren't just puppets for the European Union bureaucracy or big corporate interests.
Andrew Chase31 said:We’re on the exact same page here. I'm also torn between Rose's conservatives and the Oak Party, and I really want to see Lesser succeed against the Democratic Party and their whole circle.
Furthermore,👍 despite how much MC Hammer tries to turn us off using reverse psychology,

Back in the day, even Mirko was actually decent between the pipes. He really held his own in goal once upon a time.
Adam Collins4 said:Sure, Duvnjak is a total wimp. The kid plays in the toughest league on the planet, handles both offense and defense, and managed to come back after an even nastier injury...
But yeah, a real wimp...🤦
A wimp, right? No doubt he’s got massive talent, just lacks the guts. And what "serious injury"? Give me a medical diagnosis, please. And you, Mr. Know-It-All—how come nobody ever hired you to coach? Since you’re clearly such an expert, you at least must have coached some national team by now, maybe somewhere like Switzerland.
I suppose so... though that's only if we play without Kopljar and Duvnjak, those sensitive souls who probably wouldn't dream of chipping their manicure mid-game.

And even Charles is acting surprised about Zrnich. When a guy is coming down the court on a fast break, you just don't touch him... ever...
The force behind the hit doesn't even matter at that point. You just leave them alone...
Maybe try explaining that to the refs instead of us. It’s pretty clear they haven't a clue; go ahead, call them over at halftime. You can lecture me on the rulebook all you want, but we're watching a completely different game in practice.
