Soccer Club Kits, Vol. 1 in Soccer ·
Jessica Gonzalez said:What are they even trying to represent? We almost never play in those checkered kits. I guess it's just for the fans to look at, while the players on the field stick to blue.

They exist because you have to have an intro kit, obviously. Honestly, we should probably wear them more often since red is such a dominant color—it'd be perfect for when we're facing off against teams in white, like Greece for example.

That kit is actually fire, I’m obsessed. They’re the only ones rocking Kappa in the Premier League, right?

River to pay 1901 or River Plate...

Honestly, the most stunning one out there, especially with that sash.

Adidas

I’ve gotta say, Adidas is miles ahead of Nike in my book. With Nike, you're basically just waiting for them to fall apart—it's my own personal experience at this point. 😢The graphics on these are gorgeous; the colors blend perfectly, but compared to an original? It's a total knockoff. absolute garbage. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgrrrrr rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgrrrrrrrrrrr rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr rrrrrrrrrgrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr rr

Man, what kind of nonsense are you even talking about? 🤣

I wouldn't necessarily go out and buy it immediately, but man, I love most of those retro kits—especially when Nike hits the mark. Sure, Adidas occasionally nails it too (like that away German red one with the black stripe down the middle), but they can also absolutely butcher it (remember those Le Coq Sportif kits for Everton FC or whoever? Total disasters).
Honestly though, I’m leaning towards what a few people said a couple posts above mine. My absolute favorites had to be those burgundy ones they did maybe 4 or 5 years ago for an anniversary.

velvetsurfer9 said:Why do American clubs change their jerseys every... I don't even know... five years?

Actually, most American clubs swap their kits every two seasons rather than every five, mostly because it just isn't worth the hassle to do it every single year. Why do the massive European giants change them every season? Profit, plain and simple. For those big teams, merch sales are a massive revenue stream. Here, though—meaning things like jerseys, scarves, and gear—it’s a tiny slice of the pie for a club like Real Madrid, which has the best setup. It's similar for FC Barcelona, and as for the rest... well, God help them. It really just comes down to the money. That said, it varies; some clubs switch annually, some every three years, but on average, it's about every two. I'm not sure if anyone actually waits five years, though. Aside from FC Barcelona and Chicago, I don't think any club is still rocking a kit they had two or three seasons ago.

Has anyone happened to spot this jersey around Washington, D.C.?

LA Galaxy away kit

image

I didn't actually buy it myself, but a buddy from work is heading over to Eindhoven next week, so I told him to grab one for me. He’s a massive LA Galaxy fan, so he definitely won't mind doing me a solid. 😁 I haven't got a clue about the exact price, but I'm guessing it's probably less than $167 in USD.
Honestly though, they're totally missing a huge business opportunity here. If they had just shipped 500 units to Washington, D.C., they would've been sold out in like two months tops. I mean, come on—it's a gorgeous jersey, and that mix of the checkerboard pattern and black is exactly what fans have been begging for forever.

It’s actually pretty decent. I’ll probably drop a photo once my next one finally arrives from overseas... just another piece of gear from the Black Legion LA Galaxy 😁

It looks like everyone on here is a total pro at hunting down jerseys, so I was wondering if anyone knows where or how I can snag a Los Angeles Dodgers jersey? I need a Small, since I'm pretty tall—well, okay, actually I'm just short, about 5'4".😢 I tried calling a shop in the Wallachian region, but they only carry Mediums and won't order anything smaller. Plus, I'm not really comfortable buying stuff online with cards (using eBay and things like that isn't really my vibe, and I don't even have a credit card)😁 Any advice would be huge, thanks in advance!🙂
Honestly, finding a Dodgers kit is going to be a mission, not just in Washington, D.C., but in most major cities out there too... I spent ages looking for one a few years back in both Vienna and Munich and came up totally empty. In the end, a buddy of mine had to grab it for me over in London.

Brenda Cook2 said:Hey Ozzy, I called Cisalf and the guy tells me they only have it in a size Large! Assuming he actually understood which jersey I was talking about...🤷 I asked about the Inter Milan white one with the cross on the chest and he goes, "The away kit? We only have Large." He probably realized I wasn't just asking about the basic white away version. And the price... $83

$250 for a legit Nike jersey right now? Yeah, good luck with that. Last time I actually shelled out for one (I think it was that 2007 Boston Celtics anniversary kit), Nike was all about $150...
Soccer Club Kits, Vol. 1 in Soccer ·
Honestly, regarding our away kit, I’d go as far as to say it’s easily the ugliest away jersey the national team has ever put out. The home team is going to have to look absolutely flawless if they want any chance of pulling off an upset with this thing.
Soccer Club Kits, Vol. 1 in Soccer ·
Brenda Cook2 said:Yeah, they definitely played. That photo shows the new kit, but the original one—the first version they dropped—was for the anniversary, featuring that 'gold' sponsor logo and a 'gold' Nike swoosh....

Well, my bad if I got that mixed up, but wasn't that the away jersey that got swapped out for this one?

And then there's this one:

Brenda Cook2 said:I've been hunting for that for a while now, man, it's almost impossible to find. It shows up on eBay but the prices are absolutely insane, like $60 to $75 plus shipping... just waiting for a better deal to pop up...

Since this is such an old jersey—it debuted back in 2008 and they don't make it anymore—finding it is going to get even harder as time goes on. It's basically becoming a unicorn.

Hey, can someone from the Chicago area help me out? I'm trying to track down either an official Spurs away jersey or maybe just a decent replica if I can't find the real deal. Any info would be huge—I'm not actually from the city, just passing through for a bit and I really don't want to be wandering around aimlessly looking for a shop. Thanks in advance!

As far as I know, you won't find any Tottenham jerseys for sale in D.C. Your best bet is to wander the stretch between the main plaza and the park area; there's an Adidas store over there, plus a shop that mostly carries Nike gear, but honestly, good luck finding what you need.

The jerseys are just terrible—they all follow the exact same boring template and they’re frankly an eyesore 🤷
Puma jerseys are where it's at ☕

Man, people have such wildly different tastes... personally, I think this new home kit looks great, at least in that overly hyped photoshoot. It might actually be one of the best we've ever had. Plus, once you see the mess Puma made with the kits for the teams in the World Cup in Africa, and how Adidas basically took over everyone else, I’m actually kind of relieved we're sticking with Nike.

Belgium is playing at home, so we’ll actually get a chance to see these in person during the game this March. They're clean and simple—they'll probably look even better in real life—but honestly, nothing to write home about:
image

The Belgian away kit follows the exact same vibe, and I feel the same way about it:
image

Australia is also playing at home, just like Belgium, followed immediately by an away game for them. I'm definitely digging the combo of those Lakers blues and the royal blue, but overall, it's pretty mid. Just nice jerseys:

Alright, here’s another round of Nike's hype-fueled nonsense:

The USA home kit? Honestly, I think they missed the mark. It feels unfinished. It’ll probably look way, way better once some actual human being puts it on instead of just sitting there on a mannequin:
image

Now, the USA away kit? Absolute fire. Easily one of my favorite new designs. I can't help it, I've always had a massive soft spot for those diagonal stripes 😁):
image

Portugal at home is... meh. Just like the USA kit, it's nothing special. It might look decent in person, but I can't shake the feeling that their old deep burgundy was miles ahead of this modern, loud red version:
image

It's the same story again—Portugal's away kit is ten times better than their home one. This is definitely sitting in my top 3 or 4 new kits overall:
image

The Dutchmen have been leading the pack for ages now, seriously. From those retro collared looks to the classic red-white-blue collars, and of course that away kit with the diagonal stripes—they usually kill it. But this new one? Total miss. Completely uninspired and honestly sub-par:
image

The Canadians at home actually pulled it off. I’m genuinely surprised Nike decided to step away from their usual cookie-cutter templates to put Mount Everest on a jersey. It’s a beautiful kit, especially when you compare it to the rest of Nike's home collections:
image

And yeah, the Canadians away? That thing looks like something straight out of a superhero comic book. That loud color... I'm digging it. I'm so over kits where the away version is just the home colors swapped around:
image

South Korea—this looks like a tiger pattern to me, which is basically their whole vibe. I'm betting the away kit is gonna be...
image

...way better looking than the home one:

Brenda Cook2 said:The gold jersey is gone, all that's left are the numbers:

Knowing Nike, and seeing how they’ve been playing around with jersey designs lately, I actually have a feeling they didn't just half-ass this one like they did with so many others. It’s got that classic, simple vibe—detailed enough if you're looking closely, but clean when you step back. I am absolutely loving that red hitting the side panels; combined with what looks like a red base for the numbers on the back, it’s going to make that red color pop like crazy. And those gold numbers? Chef's kiss. Honestly, I’ve got a hunch this might end up being one of the best jerseys we've ever seen—maybe even the absolute best.
Man, looking at this new away kit... I’m feeling pretty let down at first glance. I mean, I’ll wait until they drop the final version before I really lose it, but honestly? This one isn't hitting the mark for me. The last two sets of away jerseys they put out were absolute bangers, but this feels like a massive step backward—literally. It’s like we’re just recycling old designs we’ve already worn. Total snooze fest.

I mean, I’m not totally sure how much this actually impacts what the kit ends up looking like, but if they go through with it, I’m digging the home jersey. As for the away one... honestly, we've seen this before. They really had a golden opportunity there to get a bit more creative and actually try something innovative, you know?

It was just a brief thing, but I know the conversation happened...

Nah, they didn't. They had the idea to throw it on while we were still rocking the Umbro kits—there was even a mock-up of the jersey with the star sitting right above the crest in that old club magazine—but nothing ever actually happened. It just stayed a "what if" idea.
