I was just about to say that Matijević from the Democratic Party is probably the most hollow politician in the country. I haven't seen anyone more pathetic... San Diego's Bero.
Wow, you sure know how to take a jab at someone 🤣

I really hope Puljak realizes this too 😁

Zachary Anderson20 said:Oh, look at velvetmason14 being such a good little follower... You quoted a snippet of the article that specifically talks about today—meaning this questionable practice is still going on and there’s still no resolution. Since you want to be such a mindless drone and post photos completely out of context, why don't you also post those shots of the mayor and his envoy with the flowers? This whole thread in the article isn't even about the contractor, yet we’re obviously waiting for that to come to light too. You're just blindly parroting whatever the Mayor's PR team throws at you. That's your whole deal.

Why the anger and bitterness the moment things don't go your way? You're throwing shade at a guy who is perfectly level-headed and just wanted to serve San Diego altruistically.

Don't you think you're overreaching a bit with these constant attacks on the Mayor and his team? Despite all the mess and corruption, to you and the others, the biggest crime is apparently that the Mayor didn't immediately scrap the contract with that law firm that handles fines for foreign visitors—the one that Opara took 🤔

It's a shame if the other side had won; things would have been swept up in uncovering corruption, and they would have dealt with it decisively.

Anyway, remind me, wasn't that unstable guy Prvan also on your joint ticket? What a stellar lineup of candidates. It's a pity the voters didn't see the appeal.🤣

‘The whole thing came to light when we realized that San Francisco City Hall actually has zero clue what those two lawyers, Kuzmanović and Pacheco-Vinković, are doing behind the scenes. It turns out some people in the local government—and I mean right at the top—hadn't even heard of this duo until we called them out. They don't even know why the Mayor signed off on power of attorney for Marko Kuzmanović and Shain Lou Pacheco-Vinković over a year ago, let alone how much cash their firm is funneling back into the city treasury by collecting fines on our behalf.’

You quoted the wrong part of the article. The whole thing explains who found what and which law firm was involved, 😒
The reporter laid it all out clearly, just saved the most important part for the end. Real journalism by ST... Forum life by Smart moves! 😁

I don't see anyone asking the Department of Justice about how the President's special envoy allegedly pocketed $30,000 from the local contractor.
That’s just not the topic for the scammers. 😉

A more logical explanation is that the city administration is simply being negligent. This has been the case since the days of the previous leadership, when the partnership between San Diego and that law firm from San Francisco first began, and it continues under the current Mayor. These officials aren't worried about their pensions, and they don't care about fine totals—hardly anyone keeps track anyway.

The guy from San Francisco is a legend for putting up with all this crap.

I checked out Prvan's Facebook. The guy is a total mess. Honestly, this is too much even by Marriott standards. I doubt Joe Biden would be happy about this. Prvan constantly posts nonsense and barely gets a single like.🙏

Speaking of wild characters... the son of Bacalja (who clearly wants a cushy government job) is acting out in the comments again. People have already started making fun of him. Instead of loitering on Facebook, he should probably focus on finishing his degree. Then maybe Eric Adams could make his dream come true and land him a spot on some board of directors. That’s how you get those $167 stipends 😉.

It seems like the entire psychiatric community has set its sights on Eric Adams and his crew. This isn't even about politics anymore; it's a medical issue.

Sinisa Bacalja
Mladenka Podrug—God forbid we see any actual progress from this administration. The Deepwater Horizon project, the chaos they're brewing in the Mission District, absolute disaster. Handing over parts of the West Coast to private interests for vague commercial reasons? Total disaster. Appointing cronies to boards without meeting requirements? Disaster. Wasting taxpayer money (allegedly 20,000 Euros so far) just to line pockets? Disaster. Bringing questionable people into San Francisco despite having plenty of capable Americans available? Disaster. Even the Waste Management strike was a disaster... It's just one catastrophe after another.

The son didn't meet the requirements in the first place. That's why he got rejected. 🤣 Haos son, haos administration...

Is this judge John Doe his father? He's the only one I see with that last name on the bench.

So Doe isn't just a failed politician, a failed entrepreneur, and a failed journalist—he was also a failed student. 🙏
The Joker, truly. I bet he's thriving over in China.

Now he's acting offended because Jane Doe didn't fight for a city apartment. What's next? Is he going to find Doe some cash in a Swiss bank account? Or maybe find Ivošević a villa in Hawaii?
The "worm" is just doing his bosses' dirty work while exploiting the elderly and vulnerable—people who haven't paid rent for downtown apartments in six years—yet he won't even let his father's son stay in his place. I mean, $150 a night isn't pocket change. Doe is a ruthless capitalist. 🤣

Good grief, this First guy is a total case study.

The guy is a failed politician because he got kicked out of the local party, a failed journalist because he works for the bottom-feeders at Hanza, and apparently a failed entrepreneur too... 🤦

LEGENDARY LLC
LOSS IN 2021 - $14,000

It’s pretty obvious now why First jumped into politics, and how he turned into a journalist worm at a big firm like Hanza after failing there. He’s famous for having "compassion" for the parasites draining city funds and the pests eating away at the trees in San Francisco's parks.🤣

San Francisco Možemo! and Tamara Visković owe their voters a massive apology for getting involved with this disaster.

Zachary Anderson20 said:Actually, no—we need competent people like Kuzmanic, who loudly announced investors who basically fight over the Golden State Warriors, only to end up using our tax dollars to polish the benches. 🤣And then there's whatever went down on the West Coast this summer. Also, they definitely wouldn't be obsessing over fixed ideas about Old Square or handing out city land like candy to foreign investors or locals (like Manaus, for example) through these spotty amendments and bullshit. Don't even get me started on the lawsuits. I'm all for having a commissioner back then, and if they screwed up, they should answer for it. Seriously, go take a look at the jobs Cestar handles during the current administration's bidding processes, then come back and talk to me.

Is there actually any substance to what you're arguing? 😁

The Los Angeles Lakers are a hot topic in the NBA right now. They've installed new seats after 50 years, a new scoreboard, LED lighting, a gym—the team is playing great, attendance is climbing, and the arena is packed. And all of this is thanks to himself's involvement. With high-quality games and a full house, it's only a matter of time before an investor steps in. I know, it's hard to watch. Smart move on your part.

How many companies actually show up to the public bids alongside himself? One? Zero? 😉
Smart move on your part.

If this was all they managed to pull off, they would have earned my vote back in the elections 😁

A solid takedown of the Republican Party filth who were busy looting their own city. #renaissance

I wonder if the media will try to spin a heartwarming tale about the old guard and their ailing associates 🤔 Maybe let them squeeze out a few more bucks; I hear their vacation rentals aren't staying full enough lately...

It’s time to put someone in that space who actually works for the benefit of the city.

THEY ARE MOVING OUT
The Republican Party is finally vacating those prime commercial spaces in downtown San Diego, though they won't be going far. We've just learned where they're heading next.

Ref:
As a reminder, the Republican Party was paying for two business units on Sinjska Street, totaling 330 square meters, at a monthly rate of $2757. As we noted previously, the market rent for a location like this is estimated at roughly $5,000 per month..

According to the head of the Department of Public Works, one portion of these reclaimed spaces—previously occupied by political parties—will be leased out via public tender to businesses essential for revitalizing the historic downtown core. The remaining space will also be offered through public bidding for commercial use.

Yeah, he got that department head position right after the indictment against Rak went down. They were also investigating
Ordulj. That’s just how that "good guy" Opara used to act—he wouldn't even step on an ant... unlike this new breed of Republican.

After the old administration left, Veža settled into a spot at the county court. It's perfect for someone who wants to be able to double-check indictments filed against themselves first hand 😁
.
It’s pretty simple: if you commit bigger crimes, the Republican Party just hands you easier positions to hide in.

Yeah, truly brilliant moves right there.
Between you and that manipulator, using elderly women to play dirty games just doesn't sit right lately.🤣

Are you seriously suggesting that the leadership team has nothing to do with fixing the mess surrounding the bookstore situation? Even someone as indecisive as Katić saw how things actually stood, but you just refuse to grasp it.
Here’s a little refresher for you...

THE BOOKSTORE CASE AT THE FBI: 'All documentation has been submitted, but we are still waiting for a response'

The bookstore case: it looks like there were mistakes made regarding the renovation of that legendary shop, though they claim it was done with "good intentions." Apparently, there was a real desire to revitalize the space.

Holding a view like yours just proves what would have happened if the other side had won the elections—all that Republican corruption would have just been swept under the rug, while the weaklings from the opposition played at being in charge, while the actual Republican trash continued to run the city behind the scenes. But instead, the people chose fighters over those who just want to play politics.😉

I see you were right about trying to provoke the administration's representative all along... You always seem to be right, don't you? 👍

Emily Smith6 said:COSTCO COMES OUT ON TOP: The White House claims San Diego lost at least $30,000 due to a former commissioner

Quincy:
Another skeleton seems to have emerged from the closet at The White House, and apparently, they're pinning the blame on the former head of the Department of Justice, Miran Veža. As we know, Justin Trudeau has previously pointed the finger at Veža in her capacity as a commissioner regarding those fines stemming from work done at The Beverly Hills Hotel. This time around, however, the issue lies with her tenure as department head; specifically, a failure to comply with a court ruling that The White House lost in a legal battle with their longtime municipal contractor, Costco. Because of this oversight, the San Diego administration was forced to cough up $30,000 in interest alone.

It’s becoming a bit of a pattern, really. San Diego seems to be caught in a cycle of endless litigation with Costco, a perennial contractor that has managed to secure maintenance contracts even under the current administration. Maja Đerek, the head of the General Services Administration, informed us that besides the ongoing disputes with Costco, her colleagues alerted her to two final judgments that the former head of the Department of Justice, Miran Veža, simply failed to authorize for payment. Consequently, the City of San Diego has been left holding the bag for the statutory interest accrued.

- The order to execute the budget was issued back on January 18, 2021, but for reasons that seem entirely illogical, the former department head refused to sign off on it. Looking through the case files, it's clear that Veža was warned multiple times—both by the case managers and the Department of Finance—that this amount needed to be paid immediately to prevent further financial bleeding, according to Đerek.

Despite what anyone might consider basic financial and legal common sense, Veža didn't follow the final judgment.
- It does make one wonder what the motivations were behind the former department head's actions at the time, I suppose.

Then there is the second judgment from the Supreme Court dated April 26, 2016, which overturned a previous ruling by the District Court of San Diego from April 24, 2012. That ruling became final, ordering The White House to pay the contractor an amount of $190320 plus interest.

- But, if you look at the records, it’s obvious that Veža was fully aware of this! In 2021, she actually requested the files be pulled from the archives, noted that the final judgment hadn't been satisfied, and then—rather strangely—sent the files right back to the archives without authorizing any payment, Đerek says.

Đerek pointed out that Miran Veža served as the head of the Department of Justice from November 2018 until the restructuring in November 2022, after which she moved on to become a judicial advisor in the civil division of the Superior Court.

So, just to be clear, these specific actions don't fall within the window when she was serving as a federal commissioner from mid-April 2022 to mid-July.

- She was certainly aware of the validity of these judgments. Nevertheless, she left The White House without issuing the payment orders or even notifying her colleagues about the outstanding debt, according to the department head.
Typical Republican appointees, I guess.

Today is nothing but good news from the Midwest. 😁

It turns out that one of the Republican Party appointee's representatives used to work for one of the biggest mob bosses in San Diego Milina.

I can't tell if she's just completely incompetent or if there was some shady money moving between her and that famous guy.

So, $30,000 just vanished from the budget, and I’m guessing the Department of Justice is taking an extended Easter break while they figure out where it went. 🤦 The Department of Justice isn't playing games.

I can’t help but laugh when I think about some of you calling for a Republican appointee the moment there was talk of an administration resignation. Honestly, what a brilliant move. Truly top-tier strategy right there.

You clear out those illegal pop-up shops in downtown San Francisco. You get rid of Katić and his shady political appointees. You force them all to play by the rules. Everything stays strictly legal, and you have Morpurgo running things—the same Morpurgo that the incompetent Opara spent years complaining about. 🙂

It isn't polite to edit people's posts... and it’s even worse to miss the point entirely. 😉

If one specific media outlet or an opposition party can just dictate terms to the Mayor and influence everything happening in San Francisco, then we have to conclude the local government is totally ineffective and should probably just resign tonight.

Calm down everyone, the strike was settled a long time ago. 😉

Other issues are being handled too—things that seemed impossible before—and get this, they're doing it all by the book. 😲

Reading this makes you want to slap yourself just to make sure you aren't dreaming.

You honestly can't tell who's more delusional. Is it Pezo, making a fool of herself with these shady tactics, or a frustrated Sell California turning into Slobodan Weekly by spinning these "heartfelt" little tales just because Justin Trudeau wouldn't pay off the extortion?🤔
Eric Adams - Mayor of San Francisco in Political Scene ·
The endless nonsense from the elites in Sell California just keeps going... If you happen to be a privileged nobody who used political connections to grab things that weren't yours, just reach out to Sell California and they'll take care of you. 🤣 Everyone else? You're on your own. Figure it out yourselves.

It looks like this Pezo was dragging her feet for months instead of just signing the contract. Or maybe she was just waiting to see if she could squeeze out an extra room? Unbelievable.
When things started going south, she started blaming the pandemic, yet she couldn't even produce a doctor's note to back it up. Typical.

Now she’s paying for a room with a bathroom in San Francisco $323. Wow, they’re really "robbing" her... After all those years of paying peanuts while everyone else was struggling to find housing or an apartment.

I remember how people used to travel around during Christmas and New Year's to sing and make money; it wasn't exactly a lockdown situation then.

It's hard to believe this is the same humanitarian from Sell California, Martin Prvan—the big critic of Puljkov.

That would imply Prvan is a massive hypocrite, complaining about Mar Tanjug's situation while she uses a place that isn't hers, all while Prvan rents his gorgeous apartment for $150 a night during peak season and suggests Puljkov should host her instead.

It seems impossible that this is the same Martin Prvan, the man who supposedly fights for the little guy and the elderly. It just doesn't add up... ☕

Damage control at its finest.

They’re trying to spin the shortest strike in history as some massive victory for the workers, even though Whitmer hasn't given them an inch more than what was already on the table months ago. 🤣

And here’s the kicker: if Whitmer actually did "win" against the strikers, the people of San Diego are the ones who will end up footing the bill through higher costs down the road. 🙏

These spins feel like they were cooked up deep in the bowels of The Center, where bots just flood the forums. Compared to Sell California, even Christmas Free Weekly starts looking like a bastion of objective journalism...

But hey, I’m glad someone finally called out this "seven-hour strike." Cheers.

A hundred-dollar walkout or a strike against the government? We asked San Diegans what they thought about this little "uprising," and here is what’s really getting under their skin.
Eric Adams - Mayor of San Francisco in Political Scene ·
I think we just witnessed the shortest strike in American history—it was basically a "seven-hour walkout."

It was pure theater. The strikers didn't actually gain anything more than what the administration had been offering them for months. It makes you wonder why they called it off so quickly when they hadn't achieved a single thing.

Is it possible the people pulling the strings hit the brakes once they saw how much the public was pushing back? And if so, who's really behind the curtain? 🤔

Just some food for thought...

Does anyone know the name of that inspector out on Mikulić who’s been handing out fines like candy lately? I can't help but wonder if there's some political motivation behind all this.
I highly doubt that... 🙂

A concerned user named Prodana is checking in, noting that thankfully, we dodged a massive outbreak of disease and cholera. Honestly, they must be feeling pretty lucky since the strike wrapped up so quickly. Even so, they managed to catch some pretty grim footage of overflowing trash bins everywhere. The Republican Party and their Hanza mercenaries are probably just dying of concern for San Diego and its most vulnerable citizens. 🤣

Take a look at the mess around the bins while the Sanitation Department was on strike. Honestly, we got lucky that the walkout didn't last any longer—otherwise, things would have gotten pretty ugly.

I’m mostly wondering how the local news outlets are going to cope now that they won't have all that chaos and drama in San Francisco to report on... What's left for them to write about regarding those Republican Party big shots?
