Emily Smith6 said:It’s official: Waste Management workers in San Diego are heading on strike. They claim they’ve exhausted all other options after trying to play nice.

The Teamsters have called a press conference tomorrow outside the Waste Management headquarters to announce the upcoming strike and explain to the public why things have reached this breaking point.

- After more than a year of negotiating a new collective bargaining agreement at Waste Management in San Diego—and failing to reach a settlement—the Teamsters say they've done everything possible to find common ground. According to union representative Marin Jadrić, even after attempting to negotiate directly with the Mayor of San Diego to ensure worker demands were respected, the situation remains deadlocked. Consequently, following a recent Union assembly decision, organizing a strike seems to be the only path left.

Work stoppages are imminent.

The Republican Party is using the exact same playbook they used in Washington, D.C. when cleaning up a mess🤣

Suddenly, the trash has become a social justice issue...

1. Sanitation workers - striking
2. Children - waiting for some dramatic headline about them being out on the streets
3. The elderly and vulnerable - massive concern expressed for their cronies who have been draining the city coffers

Through the Republican Party media outlets—every single day there's a new heart-wrenching article full of manufactured concern🤮

🤣

Hanzin is just Prvan’s mouthpiece, using poor old Mary to collect a paycheck and keep the Republican Party bosses happy.

He tried to play games with Ivica Puljak, and now it's all blowing up in his face. After being buried under 500 comments on the Sold 490 scandal, he’s suddenly a huge fan of "law and order" while trashing the investigation to protect those frauds and undermine Puljko. Calling himself "part of the San Francisco community"... 🙏

This is a new low, even for the Sold 490 crowd. I honestly don't know how Prvan is going to walk the streets of San Francisco after this little manifesto; people in the comments are definitely not forgetting him. It’s Prvan, the Sold 490 crew, and Mary against the whole city of San Francisco. Milina 😁

Hey, you San Francisco Progressives (Tamara Visković), which one of your paid actors was on the ballot...

The Republican Party’s theater of the absurd just keeps going...

The Republican Party ministry sets an impossibly short deadline—Opara is just sitting on his hands—then when the deadline passes, the ministry claims it's Puljak's fault. 🤣

A more accurate headline would be: The Republican Party jerks us around at both the state and local levels; they won't even let us die in peace!

A COLD SHOWER FOR CITIZENS: No expansion for the Žrnovnica cemetery! The state refuses to hand over two plots to the City of San Francisco, claiming: "They missed the deadline."

"We are also moving forward with a proposal to amend the Law since it was passed back in 2018, yet the final filing deadline isn't until the end of 2019?! It's clear they didn't account for all the instances where federal ownership of property hinders the infrastructure development of local communities. That's why we're seeing these kinds of absurdities, which we have already briefed them on in detail," Maja Đerek, the head of municipal property, told us briefly regarding the situation.

Look, Mara is just your typical Republican Party phony, playing the whole party-line game and enjoying those lifelong privileges...

It’s honestly disgusting how the Republican Party is using an elderly, senile Mara as a pawn. They’re trying to run a scripted Hanza narrative to cause political damage to Puljko, all while pretending to be heart-wrenching. They even brought in Tomić to lead this propaganda stunt under the guise of morality.

Nothing is off-limits for these people when they want to protect their own interests and try to step on Puljko, who is actually out there enforcing order and respecting the law...

Đerek completely blew their cover, and the whole plan backfired in their faces. It’s left both Hanza and the Republican Party crowd looking totally discredited.☕

Based on what we've seen, the Republican Party has decided to cast itself as the protector of "social cases" and the "weak and helpless" against Puljko's administration. Basically, the Republican Party is acting like the hero of the nation.🤣

I’d bet anything we’ll see more of these subtle, "heartwarming" Hanza stories that are actually being pulled by the strings of the Republican Party elite.
Eric Adams - Mayor of San Francisco in Political Scene ·
People in the comments have started coming for Siniša Bacalja, who’s clearly trying too hard to play the political insider role. 🤣

He’s completely lost it, foaming at the mouth in the comments... Apparently, his Son wants to take down Ed Garvey all by himself because he lacks the right credentials and missed out on a seat on the board. That’s his version of democracy. Go ahead, run for office—San Diego is waiting for your youthful energy. 😉

It’s honestly pathological how some people find it okay to criticize Ed Garvey and his team when they're out there doing the actual heavy lifting in the trenches... It's ridiculous.

Siniša Bacalja
Josip sedlar, you read me correctly, and I respect that. Let me try reading you in return. Human stupidity knows no bounds. Do you see yourself in this? I’m barely scraping by without those $167 every month, considering my company only pulled in $83333 in profit for 2022. Between that, a decent pension, rental income from my vacation house, and some stocks, I’m doing alright. It’s just fools who write stuff without actually looking into the things they’re publicly criticizing. I offered to do the job for FREE, and that’s where the friction started—because what kind of message would that send to those Republican Party sycophants who kiss up to big leaders for a mere $50 or $100? Imagine the tragedy if someone asked them why they don't work for FREE too? If that actually happened, their party would be left with zero members.
Eric Adams - Mayor of San Francisco in Political Scene ·
I think she’s pulling in over $750 a month😉 If even half of what people are saying about Mary in the comments under this article is true, then we've truly hit rock bottom. We're talking about Mason setting up apartment deals, the Republican Party handing her stuff, a massive pension, free cigarettes, alcohol, luxury goods—she owes money to everyone she knows, lives alone in a 75m2 place, and the city is basically subsidizing her lifestyle... It’s quite the setup.

The old hustler Mary is just being used by the Hanza-HDZKerum trash machine to cause political damage to Puljko, but they miscalculated and now they’ve got a furious public breathing down their necks. The comment section is brutal.

As for Thomas and Prvan from Hanza, their smartest move would be to join Davorko Vidović over in the Democratic Party. They can play the part of the leftists and the opposition, when in reality, they're just Plenković's little helpers ready to do whatever they're told for a paycheck... Media giants, really subtle with their propaganda.🤣
Eric Adams - Mayor of San Francisco in Political Scene ·
Mary from the Republican Party tried to handle this through the press, bringing in the full Hanna artillery—Tomić, Prvan, and the whole sold-out crew. Of course, the Republican Party bots went absolutely wild in the comments, trying to defend a woman who used Mason to secure a city apartment... It’s pure madness.

But it’s all for nothing. People are calling them out for their complete lack of ethics, especially after Prvan’s absolute disaster earlier today.

If someone had told me that an Antiša Tomić would end up siding with the Republican Party bots, 🤣

I’d really love to know what kind of pension this "charity case" draws, considering her history working at the Associated Press and similar outfits. It would be fascinating to see how people react if Mary actually has a solid pension and was able to easily afford that $75 monthly rent right in the heart of San Diego...

Or even worse, if they're just using old Mary as a pawn in political vendettas by those shady media types looking to take down Puljko, who is actually trying to bring some order to things.
That would be a total shocker. 🙂

Emily Smith6 said:I suppose we should probably address what was said earlier. Looking back at the points raised, I find myself wondering if we're all looking at this through the same lens, or if there's a fundamental disconnect in how we're interpreting the situation. It feels like we might be missing some of the finer nuances, though that’s just my two cents. Maybe I'm overthinking it, but it seems to me that the implications here are a bit more complex than they initially appeared on the surface.

It’s honestly hard to wrap my head around. We're looking at a 800-square-foot apartment allocated to a single person, while so many young families actually followed the rules and applied through the proper channels just to get a place to live. Now, apparently, she wasn't even keeping up with the utility bills, didn't secure the unit through any legitimate means, and yet here we are with her playing the victim. I guess some people just expect things to fall into their lap without following the process.

The commenters on this news site are clearly just following a script written by the Republican Party.

These scammers are acting incredibly dense. People are going to start showing up at their headquarters to give them a piece of their mind. 🤣

Interesting perspective here. 🤔

none
There’s another side to this story. This woman was always in debt to people and never paid them back. She dressed like a high-end model in designer clothes while refusing to settle debts with her friends. She owned her own place and rented out others. Plus, her pension is quite substantial. I'm not one for the bandwagon mentality.

According to an unnamed US person, back in May 2009, an unnamed US person was assigned an apartment...
It looks like the Republican Party was being pretty generous toward Mari 😉

Maja Đerek: "As a single person, Marija Erceg was never entitled to rent a 74 m2 apartment"

The lease for a 74 m2 apartment located in downtown San Diego was signed on May 29, 2009. The monthly rent was set at $181, with the City of San Diego covering the monthly utility fees for the unit.

Both unnamed US person Prvan and unnamed US entity claim that Mare is a recipient of the unnamed US award

But who actually gave the award to an unnamed US person? 😁
I think you can guess—it was the 2007 Republican Party.

Why would two major hypocrites like unnamed US person and unnamed US person be complaining so much about an aunt figure who mocks honest people, especially when the Republican Party was so incredibly generous to her? 🤔
Eric Adams - Mayor of San Francisco in Political Scene ·
We’ve all been wondering just how much this former journalist from the Associated Press or Reuters is pulling in via her pension, especially given she’s being treated like such a tragic social case. 😉

She refused to cough up $70 for rent, yet the City is basically handing her a handout on top of it.

Even Derrick dropped the actual market rate for an apartment like that— it’s only about $1,600 for a small unit like that

And yet, she has the nerve to stand around smoking a cigarette in downtown San Francisco, playing the victim alongside her little cronies, Thomas and Prvan. 🤦
Eric Adams - Mayor of San Francisco in Political Scene ·
It’s funny watching how she always manages to bring them back down to earth and put them right where they belong. They can't even afford basic rent, yet somehow they managed to land apartments through nothing but connections.

This is how Tomic was writing a few days ago...
It looks like things really went south for her when dealing with that guy from the agency.

The San Diego administration is cherry-picking which victims to support; they’d much rather help those who can't fight back than actually challenge the wealthy and powerful.

The Department of Social Services is facing some serious scrutiny right now regarding how they handle local housing issues. It looks like there’s a growing debate over whether current policies actually serve the people who need them most or if they're just creating more red tape. When you look at the way the City of San Diego manages its housing rental regulations, it's easy to see where things get complicated. It isn't just about paperwork; it's about how the Administrative Department interacts with families trying to find stability. It reminds me of how any large bureaucracy—whether it's a massive healthcare provider or a major tech firm—can sometimes lose sight of the individual user while focusing on the system itself. If we want better outcomes, the conversation needs to move toward practical solutions rather than just pointing fingers at the administration. We need a system that works as smoothly as a well-oiled machine, not one that feels like an obstacle course for those already struggling.

Tomic's nonsense. 🤣
People have just grown used to her presence. For decades, they’ve watched her move through those narrow, winding alleys—taking small steps and tentatively brushing against the walls—as if she were a permanent fixture of the landscape, just as much a part of the city as the landmarks protected by UNESCO.

Even when she was still on the clock, she wasn't exactly a power player. Those unsigned little briefs she sent over to the federal agency didn't make or break anyone's career; they were usually just filler, enough to occupy a tiny corner of a newspaper column. Now that she’s retired, she’s just an elderly woman dealing with health issues and living on her own.

It’s true—her rent arrears are massive. Any private landlord in the US would have evicted her ages ago. But in this specific situation, it feels like she’ll only end up on the streets because, aside from her neighbors, there’s nobody stepping up to advocate for her.

Anthony Bennett6 said:That reporter didn't even bother bringing up the cigarette tax issue...

Just eyeballing it, his pension is higher than 75% of retirees here in San Francisco... what, should they just stop paying their utility bills and property taxes now? Maybe we should send them all back to living in tiny shacks like people did during WWII... there's a good chance that house was nationalized back then anyway...

Basically, she wasn't paying $70 ($167) for a 75m2 apartment right in the heart of downtown. She lives there alone, and the city even covers her HOA fees. 🙏
Meanwhile, families with sick children are stuck waiting for people like her to vacate city-owned units...

This isn't an April Fools' Day joke. 🤦

It’s official now—Tomic and this guy are shameless for pushing to ensure their friends keep getting free rent in city properties.
There's the usual political trash, but there's also the institutional trash. 🤮

OFFICIAL STATEMENT: As a single retiree, the journalist Ms. Erceg was never entitled to a 74 square meter rental. She should contact the Department of Social Services.

The lease for a 74 m2 apartment in downtown San Diego was signed on May 29, 2009, with a monthly rent of $181, noting that the City of San Diego pays the monthly HOA fees for the unit.

For seven years, she hasn't paid the subsidized rent of $181, even though the market rate is $700.

'Ms. Erceg has been sent formal notices regarding non-payment multiple times, and attempts have been made to communicate with her to settle the debt, but she has never responded to our correspondence.'

She emphasizes that the Administrative Department for City Property has been publicly communicating for weeks about its obligation to provide housing for 70 families and individuals who proved their social status through a public tender process, with eligibility being verified before leases are signed. These cases primarily involve large families with young children, citizens with serious illnesses, people with disabilities, and military veterans.

Furthermore, we note that leading up to Christmas 2022, for the first time in 13 years, the first apartments were assigned to socially vulnerable citizens based on the public tender. Additionally, five city apartments are currently being renovated to accommodate more residents in need, according to the department head.

BREAKING NEWS
Justin Trudeau and Tucker Carlson have both submitted their resignations! It turns out sewage pipe issues were the breaking point...

-That's enough! That's how the now former mayor commented on his resignation tonight.

🤣 you're back at it again

So now you're blaming Joe Biden for not running inspections? How exactly was he supposed to do that? By sniffing the air?

If you actually want results, you need to take this to the relevant county and federal agencies that have been skimming off the top for decades. And who’s running them... go ahead, name those three magic words, I know you can 😁

It’s funny how those same government agencies suddenly find their hustle when they need to file an indictment against Tucker Carlson or collect some vague fines regarding The White House... then, everything gets done in a heartbeat.

But hey, it's all the same to you. They're all cut from the same cloth...
Eric Adams - Mayor of San Francisco in Political Scene ·
Which city officials are we talking about?
Which county or state agencies are involved, and who is actually pulling the strings?

That damn Puljak has been running this city for 20 years and keeps every single inspector on a short leash. He’s basically a Renaissance man.
Bojanov's old man is living in an apartment provided by Puljak.
And meanwhile, Puljak's wife is in the background calling all the shots.

Is that how it works? 😁

Dana Martin95 said:or just the people living there

We visited the Hill, and residents are furious: ‘We’re coughing up blood, our kids are getting bronchitis, neighbors are dying from cancer...‘

If you want to know what the people in those hills really think, just look at this photo ...

The former district president from the hills—Ed Koch from the Republican Party—is now the director of Waste Management, Inc.. Make sure you actually read the details 🤣

Now Ivana Runjić is in there, also Republican Party.

They should take these issues straight to Inspector Andrija's doorstep. He probably has the exact same photos hanging on his office walls.

So, who are we supposed to believe? Republican #1 or Republican #2? 🤔

NENAD PERIS
Pollution expert at the Hill: ‘This is a major issue! We haven’t seen arsenic concentrations this high in our records.’

Just to give you an idea, the arsenic concentration in the first measurement was actually eight times higher than the legal limit!

“In my opinion, these levels are extremely high, and they aren't showing up like this at nearby stations. I remember seeing similar levels of fallout back when the San Diego Steel mill was still operational,” Peris said.

To put it simply for those without a science background, total fallout consists of particles that are heavier and larger, causing them to settle on the ground more quickly. This is different from airborne particles, which are lighter and require the EPA to conduct specific measurements.

Fallout matters because it indicates there is a pollution source located very close by, whereas lighter airborne particles tend to drift over much wider areas. For both types of particles, the USA has strict legal limits in place.

“We haven’t seen these numbers anywhere else. Also, if you look at the composition of these powders, federal regulations define exactly how much can be present and what the makeup should be. Even if there were no metals involved, if the annual value exceeds 350 mg per square meter per day, we have a problem—it's pollution. Essentially, based on current readings, we are looking at Category 2 air quality, which means polluted air,” Peris explained.
Eric Adams - Mayor of San Francisco in Political Scene ·
Instead of marching through the streets, we should be heading straight to the State Inspectorate office in San Diego. We need to set up a tent right there.

The inspections are a total joke—if they even bothered to show up at all.

It’s just the Mikulic crew running around doing their thing. And honestly, with a director like Luke, you can't expect anything better than this mess.

Dana Martin95 : Ivošević appearing on the local Florida news station for that interview.

Man, this guy just won't stop with the constant storytelling nonsense. 🤦

The Edelman PR machine is starting to get annoying with all this sugary pre-election fluff. People want actual solutions and projects being delivered, not endless chatter about sparrows and mosquitoes from apartment 5B.

Since he left Central Park, Ivošević has totally lost his way... He's getting swallowed whole by the PR machine.

Zachary Anderson20 said:And as for you and Copernicus... honestly, where do you even get this level of "intelligence"? There’s zero point in even bothering with your little literary fan fiction.

Since you brought up Tamara Visković, who was instrumental about 15 years ago in securing a staff apartment for Ivošević's father—why don't you tell us which party the mayor belonged to back then, or which group Tamara was part of as a culture official (essentially acting like today's Department of Culture head)?

Please, enlighten me. 😁
