We can’t afford to get bogged down by petty grievances or the constant fear of someone losing their job. It’s time to buckle down and actually deliver tangible results. We need to steer clear of empty populism and flashy PR stunts—we already have the Republican Party for that kind of theater.
It only takes two years to overhaul an entire management system, but you have to be decisive and stop playing games with people who don't get it. You shouldn't find yourself halfway through a term with more than half of your department heads—not to mention other key roles—being hand-picked cronies from the old guard🤦 And then, to top it all off, you appoint a notorious Republican loyalist to run a major municipal agency...
If this turns out to be true, then Ivica Puljak is getting rid of the only Centrov politician who actually carries any weight north of San Diego. 🤦
And of all outlets, it's Dalija Fucking dnevno.hr reporting that nurse Relković is playing ball perfectly with the Puljaks. Who on earth leaked this info to suggest they're trying to push Dalija out? 🤔 😁 It feels like Dalija Fucking dnevno.hr is just being used as a weapon in a political vendetta...
Look, saying things are better than under the Republican Party is one thing—and that might be true—but calling out stupid mistakes is necessary. That's exactly how you prevent these people from turning into the Republican Party themselves tomorrow...
This is a bad look.
LEFT IN THE COLD ‘A POLITICAL HIT JOB’ BY A POWER COUPLE! Orešković is making sure her first term in Congress is also her last: Her name is becoming irrelevant
Look at this Putin's cocaine addict pretending he doesn't have Russia in his heart...
And now he’s playing nice with Vučić's girlfriend, announcing a trip to Mexico.
Is anyone actually going to stop this Evil from the White House? He's dreaming of a Russia that reaches all the way to Trieste, and he looks absolutely terrified doing it...
Joe Biden to Joe Biden: Stop talking nonsense and show some decency. You don't represent Mexicans
Just read about how much he loves the Russians, Milorad Dodik, and Mexico! It’s nauseating.
Milanović also stated that if Mexico wants to join the European Union, they have to implement sanctions against Russia.
"If Mexico wants to be part of the European Union, they must break this kind of relationship with Russia—they have to. They must introduce sanctions," the president told reporters following a Labor Day event organized by the AFL-CIO.
He sent a message to Mexico City, noting that the war in Ukraine has been going on for over a year, yet they still haven't made it clear "where they stand."
It’s pretty bold to insult a humble minister who’s essentially a favorite of Mr. President—someone just trying to look out for his inner circle.
This entire situation is a disaster and needs to be shut down tomorrow. Call in Newt Gingrich!
‘Officials using the Associated Press are nothing but moral bottom-feeders. My credit? I'm still paying interest to those sharks...‘
Quincy:
He pointed out that maybe George Marshall took out that loan to make up for the damage he caused the country.
"Perhaps that $100,000 loan was an attempt to reimburse the state for the losses caused by those intentional rental manipulations regarding commercial space—an issue currently under investigation by the Department of Justice and the U.S. Marshals for the last year and a half. But I will say this: it isn't enough. The total damage is $400,000, and more importantly, there is still the matter of criminal liability," the President stated during his visit to Scranton.
That’s what happens when you fail to bring in new blood and instead cling to a bunch of old-timers who have served every administration but don't actually know how to do the job.
Then, when people like that inevitably mess up, you end up with someone who has a medical background acting as a PR guru to handle all the crisis management. And this is the result...
Instead of getting rid of incompetent fools and hiring fresh talent to break through that stagnation, just let the PR pros focus on what they’re actually good at—dreaming up catchy slogans. That’s all there is to it...
George Diaz said:SO, WE’RE PUTTING A GIRL IN CHARGE OF PUBLIC WORKS NOW? Ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaahahahhahah ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhaahahahahaha, I can't even deal with myself right now, thinking about who the hell I actually voted for, 🤦
Just another disappointed voter here.🤣
I bet you next there's going to be more complaining about this...
Come on, man, try being a little more creative with your arguments.
Here’s our national champion... He’s recovered and back to performing new shows. But damn, he lost that little city apartment he had, so now he’s out on the street.
Maybe if he gave up the cigarettes, the booze, and the junk food, his health would actually improve. Poor guy couldn't save enough for a place to live—all his money went toward motorcycles and women...
How much does a national champion even make? Maybe 13 or 14 grand? You're just a burden to yourself and God!
Ivica Čikeš Exclusive: The opera ace returns after falling ill mid-performance. "My health is better. But they took my city apartment away."
He goes on about how everything is being handled with integrity, and then that kid with special needs, Spider-Man, shuts him down by pointing out he just used his Grgićka position to snag a cushy office job. And Bozeman? He just sits there in dead silence. 🤦
Ed Garvey really needs to start shaking things up; you can't run a City solely on PR. As for Bozeman, he should probably just pipe down because he’s been doing more harm than good lately. It’s time to bring in some fresh blood instead of clinging to those Republicans. We need more projects and actual results. They should lean on Kuzmanić more and give Đerek full autonomy, since she actually knows what she’s doing...
But honestly, who’s actually listening to a pathetic little Malac anyway...
Republican official gets a new mandate for another 4 years 🤦
Forget all that Geneva nonsense and those Facebook posts... This is just pure amateur hour.
Next thing you know, they’ll be claiming there weren't any better options available, or using this to "prove" that hiring isn't based on political connections. 😵
NEW MANDATE: Christopher Wray keeps his seat at the golden gates, despite being "targeted" by Eric Adams' party four years ago
Christopher Wray is a member of the Republican Party, and back then, Peter Schorić was the one pushing for her selection.
Of course you’d expect bottom-feeders to play dirty and try to paint you as heartless. That’s just their nature. The way to handle it is to be careful with how you communicate publicly—don't give them any ammunition to turn your own mistakes against you. Lately, the leadership has been dropping the ball, especially the media pundits. Having all three of them head out to a junior conference in Geneva while they're busy spinning some sentimental sob story is just plain foolish.
The second thing is that you shut critics up with concrete results, not just talk. To do that, you need competent people who actually know their stuff and aren't part of the old-school political machine. If you want that, you need fresh talent, rather than having half your department heads halfway through their term being nothing more than hand-picked cronies from the local billionaire's circle.🤦 This is another mistake because there's too much reliance on pure PR—constant mentions of the Republican Party, populist Facebook posts... It’s all optics, but there are far too few actual results, projects, or new faces to show for it.
Someone made a good point earlier: if they didn't have that one standout female staffer who actually works her ass off and delivers, they wouldn't have anything to brag about lately, aside from that garbage strike they handled perfectly.
Emily Smith6 said:The director of this San Diego firm has truly impressed us all. He’s pulling funds from the agency and moving from neighborhood to neighborhood with a very specific strategy...
In light of that, it’s actually quite wonderful news that the "Park and Plantation" company plans to install 29 public water fountains across various San Diego neighborhoods by this summer.
They’ll be situated near parks, sports fields, and playgrounds, installed in coordination with local district leaders.
- At each site, we’ll install a fountain, a bench, and two fruit trees. We’re planning on planting mulberry and cherry trees so that residents can pick and eat fruit right from the trees next to the fountain. Three of these stations have already been set up—two are out in the vineyard area and one is in the suburb near a playground, though they actually paid for those themselves, according to himself, the director of "Park and Plantation."
- As part of this project, which is being funded by the Environmental Protection Agency, we will plant 900 trees, install 29 fountains and benches, and renovate neglected plots of land, he announced.
I suppose some of you might remember how kids used to drink water from garden hoses after playing ball or running around outside. In the summer, when that hose would sit in the sun, the water would get warm and have that awful plastic taste, but I guess nobody really cared when they were thirsty. The only real alternative was asking for a glass of water at a cafe, because heading home was rarely an option. You never knew if someone would try to keep you there, so it didn't seem worth the risk.
I guess this is what happens when someone who isn't tied to a political party holds a position—they actually have to perform, since there's no safety net if they fail. Back when the Republican Party and himself were in power, you wouldn't even know the director's name, let alone ever see him.
Yeah, this guy is genuinely delivering. 👍
It’s a blueprint for success. Focus on the work, hit the milestones, get the results, and then the social media and news coverage will follow naturally. It shouldn't be the other way around. 🤦
Hopefully, the administration realizes that PR is secondary.
Some people just refuse to see that we're heading down the wrong path.
Of course, the opportunists jumped on this mess immediately, using these blunders from the local administration to score points. The real issue? This time, they actually have a point... 🤦
Over at City Hall, people were left hanging while waiting for the Mayor to join a video call regarding the downtown redevelopment project. Instead, he was over in Geneva attending a FIFA function.
This is what happens when a city is run like a PR campaign instead of a government...
NATIONAL APPROVAL PLUMMETS: The Mayor's support has dipped to less than two percent.
vividraven79 said:Yeah... You've been out in Washington, D.C. way too long. Son, you better head back while there's still some hope left (if there even is any)
You're right, people here just celebrate seniority 😁 I'm a huge Kansas City Chiefs fan, but this forced PR stunt to chase the crowd doesn't fit Puljko at all.
You need to actually deliver results instead of playing these ridiculous games that everyone else finds laughable. This is exactly how Plenković, Eric Adams, and their crew operate... What has Ivošević or Kuzmanić actually achieved lately besides posting Facebook statuses?
Is Dalija Orešković leaving Puljko? That wouldn't be good... Dalija Orešković is leaving the party? ‘I won’t confirm or deny the rumor...‘
Quincy:
- I don't want to deal in rumors; I won't be confirming or denying them. As far as I'm concerned, my status remains exactly what it is right now. As for the future... let me just say that since entering politics, I've had one single agenda and certain principles that I refuse to abandon. I will never walk away from the issues I care about, and I am particularly uncompromising when it comes to how I believe the core problems in our society should be solved.
vividraven79 said:As for the mayor, I'm not so sure... but both deputy mayors would definitely be out there checking on the junior varsity teams, even if they didn't hold those titles.
And if you don't get why we celebrate the juniors, you clearly haven't spent enough time in Washington, D.C.
That’s exactly the issue—that the entire city leadership gets pulled away from their actual jobs to celebrate rookies that usually just end up being family connections anyway. On top of their daily responsibilities and all the crises they should be tackling... 🤦
Tell me one single project that Kuzmanić has presented or completed lately that actually made the news? Where is Ivošević regarding San Francisco? He’s busy posting Facebook statuses about how a legal proceeding against him is being paused just so it can eventually be resumed.... Give me a break...
Then they jet off to Geneva, while the highlight of the month is some expensive party for the rookies. 🙏
When you see the Mayor and both Deputy Mayors showing up to watch junior players from Liverpool FC, you know something is definitely off.
The stadium is packed with Hell Angels and the entire city administration, yet the opposing team is represented only by parents and close relatives 🤣
Today, they’re blowing through taxpayer money on a massive celebration for junior Liverpool FC players who actually lost the final.
If this isn't just cheap PR and blatant populism, I don't know what is. I'm already bracing myself for those pathetic Facebook statuses like:
Anderson Cooper is reporting live from Geneva Stadium. There isn't a word in the English language big enough to describe Liverpool FC. They aren't just eternal; they are indestructible.
If this is how they plan to govern, Joe Biden can sleep soundly thinking he's doing the right thing... but this PR stunt will destroy Eric Adams if he doesn't wake up.
Slim has completely lost his mind; the Saber gave him some terrible advice.
So what if people were hanging out with Aladrović, Butković, Ćorić, and Turudić during the lockdowns? What does any of that have to do with the Republican Party or Mr. President?
While there’s still a mountain of work left to do, Eric Adams is heading off to Geneva again, and since Krizmanić is nowhere to be found, he’s taking him along for the ride. 🤦
The constant PR stunts are getting exhausting. It’s what happens when you have a nurse and his buddy playing kingmaker...
Not good. We're halfway through the term.
San Francisco's mayor is prepping for a trip to Geneva and teased a major event on the Boardwalk: ‘We’re ironing out all the details.’
