Just stating facts—it’s all about the team chemistry.
Red Bull treats Mark Webber like a stepchild while Sebastian Vettel is clearly mommy's boy.

That makes Webber the hero here.

But I'm neither a Webber fan nor a Red Bull fan. Honestly, just thinking about Red Bull makes me want to gag.👍

If anyone’s being treated like a stepchild, it’s Red Bull Vettel.

Give me a break, Webber. Where was he before Vettel showed up and actually helped develop the car? And where exactly was Webber scoring points? He was driving a Newey car and just crashing into everything on the track.🤣
If it wasn't for Red Bull and their slave-driver management, Vettel would be at Ferrari or McLaren right now, and Webber would probably be retired or struggling to scrape together ten 10th-place finishes and maybe 15 points a season.

Webber is the one acting entitled and constantly hunting for that No. 1 driver status. Vettel never asked for it, and he certainly didn't get it handed to him.

Webber asked multiple times to have Vettel's rear wing removed from his sight. Then, when the kid catches up and passes him, Webber shoves him off the track and then whines about how he's a victim and how the team is sabotaging him.🤣 He claims he's "struggling for the good of the team."😂

That same Webber has probably scored more points for Red Bull through his own nonsense than Force India has earned since they even existed.🤣

I guess he's the perfect subject for Mathelica, though. Between his ego and the team's stupidity, they get more press coverage than the actual championship winners.🤣

driftingbison4 said:Look, I’m not exactly Mark Webber’s biggest fan because of his history, but I get him. The guy says what he thinks and does what he believes. Unless some boss tells him he isn't allowed to overtake Sebastian Vettel, or starts feeding him hand-me-down parts, he’s going to fight until the bitter end. If you don't have the guts, stay out of his way.

It feels like anyone following NASCAR knows exactly who Webber is, so I don't get why Christian Horner didn't fix this at the start of the season. Somewhere before Turkey, Webber realized he actually had a shot at the title, and now he's latched on like a pit bull. Sweet talk and pats on the back aren't going to cut it anymore.

If someone like Flavio Briatore or Jean Todt were running the show, this wouldn't even be an issue. Instead, Horner signs a one-year extension. They never extend contracts for the second driver. Honestly, they could pick anyone next season except Kamui, because he seems just as crazy as Webber.

Totally agree. Webber isn't the problem here—why would he be? It's Horner and the team. That's not how you run things. They had similar drama last year, and even this season they were holding Vettel back, telling him not to attack Webber. Well, kid, he listens. Webber doesn't🤣
If someone starts acting up in any team, they need to be disciplined, period. No mercy. You have to know who the boss is. At Red Bull, it clearly looks like everyone is the boss and nobody is.🙄

But you're just making a mess of it now. Vettel is going to lose his mind and start playing dirty just like Webber, and then we're all screwed. They have the fastest car, but the question is whether they'll even have a driver left in the top three by the end of the season. All thanks to incompetent Horner. Forget his excuses to the press; he should be talking to the drivers, setting clear boundaries on what's allowed and when, and actually sticking to it instead of constantly shifting with the wind.

Vitaly Petrov is bringing the money.🤷

Besides, I don't see them changing anything unless Kimi Räikkönen shows up. 🤷

Even if Kamui Kobayashi actually made the jump, it’s a massive stretch. Honestly, I’m pretty sure there's a better chance of Sauber reaching Renault's level of quality than there is of Kamui landing that seat.🤷

Yeah, but I don't see them having any openings there either🤷

Do you think Robert Kubica might land somewhere😕

Great, so now we're all best friends and teammates. 👍

It’s actually pretty great that Red Bull is picking up more fans. Honestly, I can't handle this alone anymore. 🙂

With all this nonsense going on, I completely blanked on the fact that both Kamui 🙏 and Rubens 🙏

http://www.formula1.com/results/driver/2010/

Man, how Rubens started... he almost overtook his old man in the standings 🤣

And honestly, Kamui is doing a hell of a job holding onto 12th in that absolute wreck of a car. Seriously, props to him—he just keeps getting better. I’m really hoping he lands a decent ride next season 🙂

Honestly, those idiots... I’d be thrilled if they just fired the whole lot and replaced them with ☕. At least then Red Bull Racing might actually stand a chance at winning the Constructors' Championship, giving Mark Webber something real to brag about.

I said this ages ago: Sebastian Vettel should have just left them in the dust and bailed on Red Bull. The management there? Completely insane.

driftingbison4 said:After that chat with the pit wall, Mark Webber gained another fan in me. First, they congratulate him from the box by saying, "You won the United States Grand Prix" instead of "We won the United States Grand Prix"—and they say it with such a cold tone, too. Honestly, Fernando Alonso would give Lewis Hamilton a warmer, more sincere congrats than those guys at Red Bull.

No wonder Webber lost his mind and snapped back like that. And the response from the pit wall is even worse. Something along the lines of, "Do you think you could manage a smile?" 😲

And then, not a single boss even bothers to show up on the podium.😠

That last reply from them gives me the definitive answer as to why Webber’s own team can't stand him. Apparently, he isn't photogenic enough to sell their stupid energy drink!

I’d almost bet that Red Bull would rather see Hamilton become world champion if they can't somehow force it to be Sebastian Vettel. Their marketing "experts" obviously couldn't handle the fact that Red Bull's first title went to Webber just because he looks more like a regular guy who drinks a beer (he's from Australia, after all) rather than some aggressive jerk that typical consumers of their red chemical sludge are.

I just don't get why they extended Webber's contract if they can't tolerate him. Did they really think he'd just calm down and wait for retirement?

Webber is a jerk and Red Bull should have kicked him to the curb already. Seriously, a driver who pushes his teammate off the track into the grass🙄 is an idiot no matter who it is, but when he does it to his own teammate—whom he’s already overtaken and has zero real chance of being beaten by—then he's a complete moron. Vettel is such a pushover; he doesn't realize what a tool this guy is. Instead of letting him pass or just crashing into him, he yields to the idiot at his own expense. What a pathetic team.

Old Grandpa, who's probably the dirtiest driver on the grid reputation-wise, pushes Vettel off the track during a duel, but he actually leaves him just enough room to stay on the asphalt without hitting the grass (okay, it's a damn millimeter, but there's space). He's showing how to drive. When you do that to a teammate, you're crazy, let alone pushing them off like Webber did. Right now, McLaren still has two drivers in P1 and P2 and is leading the constructors' championship—actually increasing their lead—all thanks to crazy Webber, Vettel struggling against a fool, and a totally incompetent team. They should have been leading MCM by at least 50 points in both drivers' and constructors' standings.

This season, Hamilton takes the title easily, unless Webber loses his head again and rams him. If that happens, Jenson Button wins. Everything else is a long shot.

hollowhawk412 said:If Red Bull loses this championship, they’re idiots. The car is a rocket ship,
they should've cruised to a few more wins...

Anyway, looking at the standings... doing the math, Zalonso could've easily been leading right now too. He dropped nearly 30 points in those last two races because of pure bad luck, and if you factor in his mistakes (like Monaco), Zalonso would be sitting at the top of the table easy.🙂

Zalonso is worse than Webber, Vettel, Horner, and the entire Red Bull crew combined.🤣

Michael Lee4 said:What exactly is getting under your skin? 🍿 The guys are fighting, but honestly, everything seemed fine to me. 🤷 It’s on Fettel. He completely blew his own start.

It doesn't matter who's at fault here. Whether it’s Vettel or Mark Webber, it's a wash. The real problem is Christian Horner. He's an idiot. ☕

If you’ve got two drivers at the start line shoving each other into the wall or forcing one another off the track, that's not "racing." It's just proof that the leadership at the top is completely incompetent.

If Alonso had actually nailed that start like he was supposed to, he would’ve given them both some serious trouble, and then we might have actually seen a fight.

This was even worse than what happened in Austin. It’s all on Horner and the Red Bull Racing brass. Now they’re paying for it by giving Lewis Hamilton an even bigger cushion in the championship. And the kicker? They have a car that absolutely shreds this track, losing a full second per lap. Total joke. 🤦

Complete idiots.👎

What conversation? 🤣🤣, I’m asking why the wings are split in such a weird way, and then you pivot back to your usual routine... If this were a conversation about what ice cream you like, I honestly think you'd find a way to bring up Button and everyone else too. 😂😂 so complex 😉 ☕

Go read some news sites. Nobody except the McLaren drivers is making this a whole thing 🤣

Everyone else is fine with it—even Webber—but Witmarsh and his crew apparently have something to say. 😂

Mark Webber - 2nd: "That was pretty good; we did the best we could. It was a very tight fight with Sebastian again, unfortunately he got me, but we've got a long Super Bowl tomorrow. I have to thank the guys, they've absolutely buried themselves to get my car ready for this weekend and have done a great job. We're at the front and some of our main rivals have had a more difficult day, so it's interesting. Seb and i ran different spec equipment here for qualifying, but we're still evaluating which is the best to have, I don't think there's a huge amount in them. The effort that goes into any GP is unique, but the English support is massive. There's a big industry here, NFL has been here for decades and that's reflected in people's passion and desire to be here."

McLaren needs to urgently rename the team to "every pot has a lid" ☕

Red Bull 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

That’s how you do it. That’s how you win a championship.🤣

Kudos. Now if only that idiot Horner would finally make up his mind and stop picking fights. Seriously, this is the kind of internal drama that ruins everything.🤦 I don't care who ends up being No. 1 or who takes the title at this point—this level of stupidity is just embarrassing. No team should ever let things get this messy.🤦

If Red Bull put half the effort into fixing their logo as McLaren did restructuring their squad—giving two world champions identical gear and matching update speeds—the transfer would've been wrapped up ages ago...🤣🤣 , the deal would be done....☕

You know what, I'm heading out👋 I don't get why I have to explain basic logic to you before every single race😬 :mig:

Maybe if you weren't such a massive McLaren fan, you wouldn't have their same deep-seated insecurities😬

Honestly, I have no idea why they feel the need to constantly obsess over Red Bull🤷

I mean, why do they care? If those guys end up fighting amongst themselves, good for them. Why all this constant rambling😕

Pop TV 🤣

Arthur Doyle70 said:And where exactly did McLaren emphasize 🤷 , please stop talking nonsense 🤣. If anyone emphasized anything, it was the geniuses over at Red Bull, who just strip a wing off one driver and hand it to the other... It's not like they're scrambling to grab whatever they can find; their car is 1 second faster than its closest competitor
.
Second thing, you're making sense in that text—Kovalainen explained that whole concept of team orders regarding which driver is in a better spot. From what I can see, both Red Bull drivers are in the exact same position 🤷

.

And what about telling Button to "save fuel" 🤣?
Give me a break. Gumbek is way faster than Hamilton and the crew, and they basically told him "get lost or get stepped on."
It’s blindingly obvious that McLaren is the only team where a No. 1 and No. 2 driver dynamic exists. Since Hamilton showed up, the No. 2 was Alonso, then it was Button, and Kovalainen was used to that crap from his Renault days anyway, so he didn't complain about different cars or anything else ☕
.
I’d even say Massa deserves a shot at beating Alonso (which isn't like him to pull off), but Button doesn't stand a chance against Hamilton. All these stories about how Hamilton crushed it in qualifying while Button was clueless are total BS. It's clear whose car actually got the work done and who was the priority. They cobbled a car together for Button and built a masterpiece for Hamilton.

Now, when it comes to the wing scandal at Red Bull, it's the former and current McLaren people—Witmarsh and the rest 🙄—who are being the loudest again 🤣
. God, they're driving me nuts this season. Why don't they just buy that Red Bull from Mathezic and stop worrying about everyone else's business? Seriously, they're getting exhausting. They spend day and night digging through the Red Bull garage, constantly whining to everyone, the papers, the FIA, everywhere. If they were actually that capable, they would have copied the Red Bull design perfectly by now instead of doing this half-assed job 🙄
.
Just watch how these "experts" work. Alonso filmed the Red Bull during qualifying and he'll have it copied by the time they hit Germany. Then both him and Massa will eat you alive. You're the ones complaining and suing; you screwed yourselves over. Having no No. 1 driver is your own fault, even though you had one once. He'd have a field day mocking these whiners 🤣

Arthur Doyle70 said:True, but if the team pulls a move like swapping the front wing from Mark Webber's car onto Vettel's just before qualifying—and giving him whatever scraps are left—that’s a pretty radical play 😁 , regardless of how they manufacture these wings...
And honestly, if you're one of the main guys fighting for the title and the team can't even manage to supply enough front wings, then things are truly...😁
What's next? Scrounging through other teams' garages to borrow parts because aero components cost too much? Apparently, Adrian Newey spends money like he's playing Monopoly, so they have to get "creative" just to keep up...😂

http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/85205

This reminded me: you really have to sweep your own porch first. ☕

There's also this little reality check: no matter how much talent someone has, drivers like
Heikki Kovalainen, Mark Webber, Rubens Barrichello, or Felipe Massa—even if the team labels them No. 1 or if their No. 2 teammates pull over and clear the way or cover their backs—these guys will never be champions. They always find a way to screw it up themselves.

That’s my take. It's basically:
Hamilton was leading, Kovalainen was a non-factor.
Kimi was nothing to Massa.
Button was nothing to Rubens.
Even with Mark Webber sitting 19 points ahead of everyone else with two races left (unless Red Bull manages to screw both of them over, which is possible 🤣), he’d still probably blow it with his typical blackouts, lose his cool, and miss those crucial points even if you held a gun to his head. 🤣

If Red Bull finally figured that out, kudos to them. They might actually stand a chance this season. But I doubt it. They’re too incompetent for that. Last year they practically handed the title to Jenson Button on a silver platter by messing up themselves, and they’ll probably do it again this year. The real question is who's going to snatch it: Lewis Hamilton or Fernando Alonso? 🤷

Both Vettel and Webber could win the title this season if they played it perfect; the car definitely allows for it. But the team is too thick-headed. They let the internal drama run wild instead of setting priorities like McLaren did (who made it crystal clear that Lewis Hamilton is No. 1 and Button is second). Because they can't get their act together, they'll likely end up with nothing at all.

Look, I’ll give Fernando Alonso second place, sure—but not on the starting grid, on the podium.

🙂 Robert Kubica takes second, then Nico Rosberg in third.😉

Mark Webber—Fernando Alonso absolutely wrecks him at Turn 1, Lewis Hamilton ends up scavenging parts off the track just to stay in it, swaps out his nose, and loses a massive amount of time when the Safety Car comes out, eventually finishing even behind Jenson Button.😬

Thomas Martin4 said:I don't get why they're short on parts. Just build a spare and stop fighting over who gets what. Seriously... since when did making wings become rocket science?

Look, considering they totaled both cars in Turkey😉
followed by Webber's wreck in Valencia
they probably barely scraped together enough cash to fix up that old Vettel's car from Turkey just so Mark Webber could even drive it. On top of that, they had to repair Webber's mangled mess from Valencia. You can't show up to a race without a spare car in case something goes sideways during practice, right?
Add some brand-new parts to the mix, and yeah, it’s no mystery why they're low on inventory. It was clearly a massive time crunch and nothing else.
F1 British GP - Indianapolis - July 11, 2010 in Formula 1 ·
Arthur Doyle70 said:Look, it’s probably not strictly about driving skill, but how that wing just flew off? That's a massive question mark right there. 🤷

Let them settle it on the track like they always do. 👍 😁

Honestly, I haven't got a clue. The deal is likely that Mark Webber wrecked his car so badly that Red Bull is totally tapped out on spare parts. Since fixing his car was the priority, they probably didn't have much time to manufacture new stuff. Plus, the car Webber is running now is actually Vettel's, which was already a mess after Turkey. Now they've slapped on this new wing, and well—no spares, no extra parts, and apparently no backup car either. 🤣

No matter how you slice it, Webber is largely responsible for this mess. Meanwhile, Vettel is leading him in the championship, so it’s perfectly logical and normal that the guy in the lead gets the new parts and updates if they can't supply both drivers. I seriously don't get what people are confused about. 🤷

Webber is driving Vettel's car (you know, the unreliable one that Lewis Hamilton and Zalonso breeze past the second it starts acting up 😬), so what is Vettel driving? 🤷 Is he in Webber's spare or what? 🤣
