mistybear87 said:Nakajima is clocked at 680 kg; it seems like the FIA might have made a bit of a mistake during the weighing process, according to what was reported.

So yeah, makes perfect sense. Once again, the FIA looks like a complete joke.🙄

Seriously, what is wrong with these organizers? They can't even get a car's weight right, so how on earth are they going to inspect every single tiny part to see if it follows the rules?🤣

It was just ridiculous—one car at 605 kg and this one at 612 kg? That 7 kg difference is basically just enough fuel for maybe two or three laps. WTF.😲 🤣
Edward Howard2 said:If I didn't miss anything, those are the race start weights, not the qualifying weights—except for the top 10, who have to start with whatever fuel they used during qualifying.
So that means Heikki wasn't actually heavier and faster than Lewis during qualifying.

I didn't even realize Heiki 11🤣 still sounds unbelievable to me 😬 my bad, we really don't have any actual data on that 😵

But honestly, I find it hard to believe McLaren would give Heikki a more aggressive strategy (aka less fuel) than Lewis. Seems a little sketchy to me.🤷

Plus, he had a better time in Q1.
Gary Palmer8 said:Man, you really are deep in that hateful rabbit hole regarding Hamilton, aren't you?

People have already been telling you that Hamilton lost his fourth gear... and honestly, once he clocked that remaining time, he actually beat Heikki—who basically just finished his lap after crossing the line one more time.

Maybe try learning how to count, LOL

Where exactly in my post do you see any racism? 🙄

Here’s the link for you: http://www.formula1.com/results/season/2009/805/6602/ 😉

Kovalainen's Q1 was 1:26.184, Hamilton was 1:26.454. Even in Q1, Kovalainen was 0.300 faster than Hamilton when his car was actually working normally. 😉

I know people will hate this, but Kovalainen might actually keep up with Lewis regularly this year. I don't hate Hamilton at all, but they've turned him into this ultra-superstar without any actual foundation. We'll see what kind of driver he really is once McLaren hits a rough patch this year. ☕

Maybe he's actually good, I don't know—we haven't had the chance to see it yet. If he finishes on the podium today without 10 or 15 cars dropping out, then okay, maybe he's legit. ☕
With the best car and the whole McLaren crew behind him, it would be weird if he wasn't fighting for the title.

Vettel is way better than Hamilton and doesn't have to push nearly as hard to get results. Seriously, think about it—which other driver can take a junk car and bring it to 1st place in a normal race where the favorites don't just break down, especially in his first full season? 👍

And don't even get me started on Button and Barrichello. Everyone used to clown them, asking why two nobodies who couldn't drive were even in F1. And now look, they're sitting at 1-2. Did they suddenly become phenomenal overnight, or did the quality of the car play a role?
18. Lewis Hamilton, McLaren, 655
11. Heikki Kovalainen, McLaren, 690.6😲

Heikki is way faster than Hamilton even though he's carrying way more weight. It's insane, but looks like Heikki is finally actually driving somewhere.👍

5. Nico Rosberg, Williams, 657
14. Kazuki Nakajima, Williams, 612.5 😲😲 😲Who even is this kid? Looks like Nakajima is heading to the pits by lap 3.🤣How on earth is he that much slower than Rosberg? This is seriously weird.😕
F1 Studio kicks off at 7:25 by the new clock, which means 6:25 by the old one. You better not miss Jergovic's breakdown on why Hamilton 20 is what it is.🤣
Jessica Ramos12 said:I'm thinking the race starts at 8 because of Daylight Saving Time tonight.

The race is actually at 6 if you're going by current time😉

but tomorrow at this same time, it'll be 7😉
Raymond Ortiz89 said:Look, Italian craftsmanship is about actual quality, not just flashy paint jobs, and honestly, do you even realize how hard it is to land a date with an Italian woman? ☕

Jebemu, I’m already dreading having to drag myself out of bed at 7 AM,
not to mention if TBF decides to pull another all-nighter and keeps us up, if we want to stay ahead of the curve and predict things before they actually happen.

I sleep, but I’m an early riser.😬

First coffee has to be in the dark.☕

Don't worry, I'll be around.😁

Sebastian Vettel is cruising to a win tomorrow.☕

Button and Rubens Barrichello are going to smash into each other right at the start.🤣

Sebastian Vettel 🙏🙏🙏 It’s not even easy, and they still landed P3.🙏 The best of the lot—if they actually strip points from those guys with the dodgy diffusers. Anyway, here’s some more crap... Absolute nightmare. The FIA is a total joke... who even knows what's going to happen by tomorrow morning or what kind of mess we're in for at the start.🙄

Everything is insanely tight. It looks like qualifying is going to be pure stress.🙏

I just find it weird how much the kid is struggling with the Renault.😕
hollowhawk412 said:Nah... the diffuser stays legal until it actually gets ruled illegal...

as simple as that

But honestly, the whole thing is insane. If it turns out to be illegal, then everyone else gets screwed—especially Renault and Red Bull since they tried to pull something similar. And if these guys win and then lose points later? Total mess. Who’s to say they wouldn't be sitting in 2nd, 3rd, or 4th without it? Or maybe someone else wouldn't be in 1st if not for these shady diffusers. It's just one giant, ridiculous headache.🙄
hollowhawk412 said:They won't strip the points even if it gets declared illegal later on

So what happens then? Cars with an illegal diffuser scoop up the points🙄 and those points still count🙄. Honestly, a championship like this is just a joke👎. As much as I hate Ferrari, I'd rather see them win a season with a 500-point lead than deal with this crap☕.
Amanda Kelly said:It’s not quite that black and white. Those diffusers are definitely sitting in a gray area right now.
The teams using them took a gamble and it paid off. I’m not losing any sleep over it.
That said, it’s a massive headache when the rulebook is written so vaguely that everyone can interpret it differently.

The FIA has been making a huge mess and honestly, they’re still at it. How else do you explain how Renault had the absolute best car and the strongest engine back in '05/'06, then suddenly there's an engine freeze and Renault ends up with the weakest engine on the grid? 😵And now they're getting permission to bump up power by about 70 hp🙄—I mean, seriously? 😕Now we've got this whole mess with the diffusers. If they actually set clear rules, what kid is supposed to sit around philosophizing about it? If Renault and Red Bull asked for the same thing and the FIA told them "no way, that's illegal," how does it suddenly become legal for Williams, Toyota, and Brawn GP? 🤷Bottom line: the FIA is totally screwed because none of this makes any sense anymore. 🙄The dumbest part is having a winner for the first two races only to have their points stripped away later because of some "illegal" diffuser (which the FIA will decide on), even though the FIA approved it as legal before the race even started. 😵🙄

Michael Lee4 said:I’d bet my life they only allowed those diffusers just to spice up the start of the season and stir up even more drama. 😁

Is there any better fairy tale than watching Brawn GP snatch a win right at the start of the season? 😬

P.S. Just so we’re clear, I’m not hating on anyone personally, but it’s high time someone replaced these retirees running Formula 1.

Who knows? Maybe a miracle actually happens.😁 Somehow, by some weird stroke of luck, the court decided to strip Bernie of his Formula 1 baby and hand it right over to Sylvia. 😬 So we end up with a pissed-off Bernie getting kicked to the curb along with his boss, Sylvia.😍🤣
Raymond Ortiz89 said:That’s just my take on things, having followed every single development from the jump.
- Renault feels like they've totally fumbled it—it honestly seems like they didn't deliver what was promised, much like BMW.

McLaren is in the same boat, though I still expect them to hang themselves with the top eight.
Ferrari—they seem pretty self-assured; they were consistently at the front during all the testing, so that's how I'm anticipating them performing on race day.
Toyota and Williams have actually done the best job here, and I'll throw Honda into that mix too if they turn out to be as fast as they look.

As for BMW—honestly, I think they're going to be the biggest losers of the year.

I also have this nagging gut feeling that qualifying isn't going to mean much for this particular race, but hey, that's just me talking.🤷.

So yeah, that's my rough summary.

http://www.f1racing.com.au/index.php...latest-news

And check out how they practiced refueling Massin's car😲 they managed to make a hose that just flutters in the air, pointing toward the car instead of away from it, and there isn't a single sprinter mechanic in sight, yet apparently everything is fine.😬
Raymond Ortiz89 said:Look, I’m telling you right now, let me just sell you the Digital HD setup with the full installation included and you won't have to lift a finger—you'll have everything you need at your fingertips.😉

What's actually being offered here? I'm looking for Digital HD channels and Piracy with a system for at least 3 users. It wouldn't hurt to have a multiswitch for 12 people either, since that's how many connections I've got set up.

Do you actually know someone who does this seriously, or are you just messing around?
Amanda Kelly said:So I just checked the ESPN schedule.

Friday at 6:00 AM, first practice session is live.
At 6:30 AM, second practice session is live.
Then there’s a replay of the second session at 2:00 PM.

We'll finally get a look at how that whole setup is performing.
I'm not dragging myself out of bed for these early broadcasts, but I'll record them.
Honestly, I don't think I've felt this much anticipation since the last championship decider in the past two seasons.

I don't have DFS😢 but I'll probably be awake anyway—maybe someone knows a good Netflix stream or something like that?🤷
Morgan Murphy7 said:If you ask me, it feels like almost anyone could catch us off guard at this point, with the exception of Force India.😁

They’d be lucky to surprise anyone😉 just imagine the absolute disaster if both Force Indie cars ended up ahead of McLaren😬 what a mess that would be. And even crazier? Both STR cars outperforming both Ferraris🤣

In the points:
2x STR
2x FI
2x BGP
2x RB
Everyone else gets swept away at the start by Nelson Piquet and the Renault engine🤣😂

Now that would be something😁
All five of them? I have no clue how the FIA thinks they can actually control this😕 I mean, it’s not exactly a walk in the park, is it? Honestly, we're going to end up dealing with all this nonsense just because of this issue🙄 What, are they going to audit every single bit of telemetry after every single race? And what happens if, say, Lewis Hamilton😁 or anyone else uses KERS for even 6.001 seconds in a lap? Do they just get disqualified and stripped of their points or what?😕 If you ask me, the FIA could easily use this to mess with the season's tension🙄
Donna Nelson23 said:Nope—Honda was working on their own system and even ran some tests, but they scrapped the whole project once they pulled out of the sport.

Maybe that raw speed is actually an advantage,🤷 but the real question is how it'll hold up during the actual race.🤷
ironfalcon43 said:Quite seriously🤷 both Brawn and Force India are running Mercedes engines, which means they also have access to that Hybrid Technology😉

Are you actually sure about that? Because I don't think so. It honestly looks like Force India is scavenging everything from Mercedes—the engine, the Hybrid Technology, even the gearbox—while Brawn is just running their own engines. 🤷
