I'm currently setting up my small business—basically a side hustle—but I've still got my full-time job. I have the choice between filing as a sole proprietor or keeping formal books. Since I don't expect to be pulling in huge numbers right out of the gate, and there's a bunch of gear I want to pick up (nothing crazy, just smaller stuff under $1.25):
I'm leaning towards keeping actual books. It feels like it might make more sense to end the year basically breaking even rather than just paying flat taxes and social security fees through a simplified setup. This is especially true regarding payroll taxes since I'm already covered by my main employer.
When you factor in what an accountant costs, it's a close call. My monthly contributions would be roughly $117.
I was originally going to post this in the thread about praising doctors... but honestly, I figured it belonged here instead.
So, my doctor doesn't bother pulling her office blinds all the way down. It means anyone hanging out in the parking lot can see pretty much everything happening inside, especially when it’s dark out and the lights are on. It’s just great—she’ll be like, "Okay, strip down to your waist," and suddenly half of Prečki is staring through the glass... 😲
I'm posting this under women's health because when we have to undress from the waist up, there's nothing blocking that window. Meanwhile, if the guys have to strip down from the waist down, nobody sees a thing... talk about a privacy gap.
I'm actually taking this quite seriously, but I'm stuck on what to even do about it.

I didn't come up with this profound bit of wisdom myself, I'm just passing it along:
It goes something like this: we're all basically actors on the stage of life, right? And because of that, our lives start to take shape based on whatever role we decide to play... if you choose to step into a different character, change how you view yourself, and shift your whole perspective, the world is going to react to you differently and perceive you in a whole new way...🙄
Man, the camerawork is just atrocious too... there’s this constant roller-coaster style of cutting through massive scenes that moves so fast I can barely catch anything with my tired eyes before it's gone. And oh yeah... if I didn't fall asleep halfway through the movie, it was only because the director decided to play a game of light and shadow with us. That scene inside Achilles' tent was pitch black, and then—for absolutely no reason at all—bam, the glowing walls of Troy hit you right in the face... honestly, it’s enough to make you go blind. Just... yeah...😕
So, what’s the deal with Pedro Almodovar? Like, how are we actually going to see any of those movies, officially or just through the underground channels? Is it gonna happen sooner rather than later?🙂
If they actually gave every single character in this movie the screen time they "deserved," we probably wouldn't have left the theater until sometime tomorrow afternoon.
I mean, we could've just sat through Lord of the Rings during the break between 16th Meridian and Sport today instead of catching the market report, but we didn't...
So what if Achilles was actually gay and was hooking up with Patroclus????? And then you jump right into the first scene with two naked chicks in bed, just wow... 👎
Honestly, this movie was absolute garbage... Consider this your official warning to stay far away from the theater.... To quote my favorite critic: “Someone already pointed out that if Homer were still around today, he’d be filing a massive lawsuit against the writers of Troy; they took the epic storytelling and just butchered it, turning what should have been a grand tale into this mindless, blood-soaked action spectacle that's handled so poorly even Brad Pitt looks a little uncomfortable in it.” It was truly awful..... 🙂
