Did you guys even bother reading my first post?

It’s so easy to play the humanitarian or the empathetic soul, but actually READING what’s being said is a different story.

I’m not going to throw death tolls or sick relatives in your faces just to defend my position. To me, using the dead or the sick as an argument is unnecessary.

Listen, "they" saw it... Where do you all get off trying to act smarter than me on this forum?

We are talking about my body, and I have every right to express my opinion here.

If you don't like it—I couldn't care less. I haven't forced anyone to think like me.

And yeah—there is a very real chance that I could get sick. 🙂

So please, stop talking out of your asses. 🙂
"Waiting for an organ" is just the politically correct way of saying "waiting for someone to kick the bucket so they can harvest their organs and give them to me." Kill me (and feel free to distribute my organs 😁), but I don't see any humanity in this process.

And I fail to see what any of this has to do with autopsies.

Michael Perez5, you better watch your back so nothing happens to you in somewhere like Belgium or whatever, leaving you stuck in a hospital.

Not only do they have all the equipment, but they also have piles of wealthy, sick people with premium insurance sitting on those waiting lists. 😈
Hannah Edwards said:The law passed. Period.

It just doesn't exist in this country.

Check out my location.
That law didn't pass here. And honestly? Good riddance.

I have zero interest in using someone else's organs if I get sick, and I have absolutely no intention of donating mine either.

Look, there was this one time a family member actually brought up the idea of me donating a kidney, but then he started talking about money. Like—he actually expected me to hand over $15,000 just so he could go grab a fresh, young kidney in an Asian country. 😲

I found out that everyone on the ward was dreaming about doing the same thing, and a few of them actually managed to scrape the cash together to score a new kidney that way.

So, I just told them: 🙂

Just grab a mini stepper. You can find them here for like $25. They’re smaller, so you can just toss one in your closet when you're done, plus they actually work better. 🙂

I dealt with something pretty similar earlier this year, right after I finished grinding through some coding projects and final papers for college. Trying to read anything closer than a foot away was straight-up painful. It lasted about a month or two, but once I stepped away from my PC and stayed off the internet for a while, it cleared up... I didn't even bother seeing a doctor.

God, seriously...
😕

So we’ve started dissecting things now, have we?

Look, I’m not here to get into a petty back-and-forth. This isn't even a discussion anymore; it’s just someone trying to force their opinion on everyone else—which is typical for certain patients on this forum who love acting like "amateur psychologists."

Since you decided to answer my questions by analyzing my personality *again*—which is what I call the "Pitbull Forum User" tactic—we haven't moved an inch from where we started. You aren't the first person to pull this kind of stunt, and you definitely won't be the last.

I’ve said my piece. The smart people will get it. As for you, feel free to read your own post over and over until you're blue in the face. Enjoy it.

Matthew Sullivan32 said:Kim didn't give you bad advice. When something BUGS me on TV (which I barely even turn on anyway), I don't let it get to me because my time is precious. Either I change the channel or I just turn the damn thing off—which is usually the smartest move.

Spitting venom and acting like an Aggressive instead of a victim isn't any better; it's just two sides of the same coin. Both are toxic. As far as you're concerned, who cares about Oprah?

Aha. Interesting. You still haven't actually answered my questions.

By the way, there’s an unwritten golden rule on this forum: Being right is more important than actually participating in a discussion.

When someone acts like a child trying to play wise guy, they’re going to get that same stupid "wisdom" shoved back at them. If you're dim enough to fixate on a single word and miss the entire point of the sentence, you aren't worth my time, and I'm done debating seriously.

Again: Do you even watch her shows? Stop twisting my words out of context.
Look, I didn't ask you for a diagnosis of my mental state, nor am I here for you to lecture me on my choice of TV programming. My life goal isn't fighting Oprah, but I have every RIGHT to express my opinion about her show (meaning, her). If all you have to offer is "just change the channel," then you'd be better off staying silent, because that's an argument for... well, you know.

YOU were the one who jumped in to defend someone you claim doesn't matter to YOU, so don't try to act superior now.

Ignorance and turning a blind eye to the facts isn't what smart people do. This woman spews nonsense wrapped up in her persona and legacy. And here you are, trying to defend her when you don't even know the first thing about her. Yet, you sure know how to brag about being a tough guy toward Cindy. Someone I didn't even bring up. 😁

Answer my question.

This belongs in a "TV" section...

Well, you know... people share stupid advice, so I might as well join in...

By the way, I’m not complaining—I’m spitting facts. I’m done playing the victim. Now, I’m the aggressor.

How about you just shut down your computer instead?

Matthew Sullivan32 said:It’s honestly wild how much negativity people dump on someone they’ve probably never even met in person, let alone actually talked to. It’s like you had way too much coffee today. 😁

First off: she has turned her entire lifestyle and persona into a product that she pushes through her shows and magazines. As a consumer, I have every right to voice my opinion on a product that's being shoved in my face for an hour twice a day.

Matthew Sullivan32, seriously, how many episodes of Oprah have you actually watched? Have you ever even held one of her magazines? Ever stepped foot on her official website to read anything?

I suggest you try sitting through a single season of her show. If you can actually handle it (or if you already have🙂—then maybe we can talk about her in the "miscellaneous" or "TV" threads), especially since you seem so desperate to defend her from my critiques.

I don't think everyone actually gets it. I've heard in dozens of places that coffee speeds up your metabolism—in fact, I'm literally holding a recent medical journal right now that says the exact same thing: '...Caffeine acts as a stimulant on metabolism. It releases fatty acids and allows them to be utilized during physical activity. While this fat is being used as an energy source, carbohydrate consumption decreases, keeping blood sugar levels elevated for longer, and high glucose levels suppress appetite. This is why caffeine is frequently found in various weight loss supplements.'
....and of course, I believed that WHOLE thing UNTIL I heard this doctor on the Oprah show explain his theory... so,

Does anyone know anything about what that guy on Oprah said regarding the "scientific" data? Not just his own personal experience!!!! (Because, look, I poop after drinking coffee too, but I don't believe that wouldn't happen anyway...)

Look, I haven't seen a single instance where someone spits after drinking coffee without an ad for some other product immediately following—usually something way more expensive than the coffee itself. Let me tell you right now: if you want decent green tea, start filling up your wallet.

If you're so interested in the guy from her show and what he was rambling about, just go to her official website and do your own digging. Maybe then you'll find some logic in what I'm typing here instead of just dismissing it as some arrogant rant.

Matthew Sullivan32 said:Oh please, if she had just admitted she’s naturally like that instead of lying, she wouldn't be 1) a liar 2) conceited 3) trying to sell you guys snake oil.

Besides, where in her contract with Revlon does it say she has to lie about her own appearance?

First off, who gives you the right to call people cattle? Honestly, I don't give a damn about Cindy, but it's easy to bash someone who can't even defend themselves. She never carried an extra 60 pounds, so she doesn't have any loose skin; I remember looking at her photos from 15 years ago when I...😳 anyway, it doesn't matter what I thought, but that woman has always looked good.🙂 Her body is fine, though her face isn't anything special. Just average.

Actually, reading your post, there were moments I couldn't tell if you were talking about Cindy or About Opri.😕

What are you even on about?😁

Same deal over here: I quit smoking about eighteen months ago, and coffee is still the only thing that actually gets me going. 😁 Green tea messes with my voice, though I’ll occasionally give in to that temptation if I add a little lemon.

Kate Sullivan22 said:Then why is she such a fraud if she's being "honest"?😕

I'm not even going to quote the other response; I'll just answer your question directly. She’s a total hypocrite.

First off: who actually trains like that? I work out too, but let's be real—that flat stomach and those lifted assets after forty are achieved ONLY through liposuction and fat grafting. Have you ever once heard her mention doing that?

Second: someone her height who drops over 60 pounds in a few months isn't going to fix all that loose skin without plastic surgery. Did you ever hear her bring up her discarded skin?

Third: remember her first extreme diet? She looked like an owl. Look at her now: tight face, zero wrinkles, baby cheeks, and no double chin. Then, seeing she messed up, she tries to justify plastic surgery on a show about people with facial disfigurements. She even brought on a guest who had excess skin removed after a massive weight loss. Did she mention herself? Of course not.

"Honest"???? Just because she admitted out loud that she was overweight and trying to lose weight? Please. She could have claimed she was a supermodel, but your TV wasn't on, nor was this Forum. 😁

Who works for her? Do a little digging.
Who does she bring into the studio? Do a little digging.

And even IF she were being honest: you should listen to people who actually know what they're talking about. She clearly isn't the gold standard for someone who lost weight naturally... So why would anyone listen to her?

She is the ultimate walking billboard. Melissa Cruz2 was right: if you're advertising, there's no honesty left.

Though, I have a feeling none of this is going to sink in with the viewers.

😁

Whatever, enjoy the debate. Cheers. 🙂

Don't listen to that loudmouth or her crowd of college-educated patients.

They all have enough cash to basically hack their own genetic code through "exercise, healthy eating, and mindfulness" and live to be 100, while they peddle cleverly packaged ads to us mere mortals. It's probably just because Oprah bought some cheap green tea... 😁 Or maybe she owns some massive plantation out in Africa in a little village where she used to hand out goats...

February 24th - one whole year!!!!👋 :klap:

brisknomad6, you’d gain weight just from eating those five apples. Metabolism works differently now... 😢

Officially, I can't fit into ANYTHING from my old wardrobe. Even my shoes feel tight. 😁 Fine, my waist is still narrow and my hips are okay, so it's not too late yet. 👍 😁
Night sweats: What's the deal? in Health ·
Man, that’s just the icing on the cake for me.....

Damn it... I guess I'll just start believing in bad karma.

Once I'm done at Target, I've gotta head home and deal with my family again over this doctor's referral. 🙄

Wow, you guys actually gave me a scare there.

I honestly thought I was just sweating because of the stress—you know, basically the mental state I’ve been in over the last few months. 😕 Plus, my heart "skips a beat" maybe three or four times a day. It doesn't happen when I'm sweating, though. And I keep getting this constant "lump in my throat" feeling.

Congratulate!🙂

Just a few weeks ago, my brother finally kicked the smoking habit too!👋

Around Christmas, he made a huge deal out of it: "Mom, I'm actually going to eat lunch, I'm hungry." When his heart hadn't given out on him yet!!!😁 Hearing those words come out of the mouth of that unknown starving kid I used to know was honestly shocking.🙂
