Alexander Murphy96 said:No. Absolutely not. The highway is nothing more than a digital shortcut for cheap, instant pop ideas and shallow gratification. It’s useful only if you want to rush headlong into the first tacky resort filled with neon pools, fuchsia bikinis, oiled-up bodies twerking, coconut cosmos, and designer drugs—all while beautiful, naked, unreachable mountains roll past like a cheap movie set. A winding, shadowed backroad hides far more unmapped brush and archaeological treasure within its damp, fertile soil. That ground is much richer for sparking true inspiration and finding those non-Gordian secrets of the self, far away from the suffocating petroleum dust of Formula777 that chokes out countless clones already racing down the same automated track.

I could definitely use a little (maybe even a lot) more of what you're... .. ..

Joseph Bailey41 said:Joseph Bailey41 wasn't born. Joseph Bailey41 registered on March 9, 2007 (according to the Gwegowiyans calendar). That specific date matters... not just because of my obsessive-compulsive need for precision, but because of several linked synchronicities that will (hopefully) become important for the continuation of a story that doesn't have much to do with the organic vessel of the aforementioned (id)entity made of "light and thought"—or rather, information. So, I'm actually quite "young," even if I can still send ironrider11 out to run errands (or fetch napalm, doesn't matter). ironrider11, despite his virtual messiness (or perhaps precisely because of it), has the chance to become one with the very idea he might be willing to sacrifice his organic host for, launching himself into the heart of a singular synchronicity. Because that specific idea he resonates with so passionately is exactly what's missing from worlds in their making. Without it, bots could theoretically exist until the heat death of the server via the help of Wayback Machine cultists. Without an idea, bots are immortal; they breed like rabbits and pollute the noosphere with their pixelated waste.

Because, while we sit here debating the origin and disappearance of God's Head, we tend to forget that someone also has to be God's Ass. 🧐

Pretty cool registration date. Symmetry, density, flow, visibility... whatever you want to call it. 9.3.9. If dates are actually numbers, that is, if they even matter. They aren't like magic letters capable of carrying actual meaning or emotion. When you look at all the words, sentences, and rows of numbers scrawled across pages... it’s just symbols, really. Just math arranged into some sort of cohesive whole. Especially in this kind of digital gematria, where a user's IP address becomes their first real definition of "origin" or "identity." An address that isn't Messianic 6, but rather "88.164.268.254." At an occult mass, one bot tells another: "Man, your subnet mask looks fancy today..."

I’m generalizing here, obviously... but organic carriers—especially the rare or ancient ones—act like the foundational blueprints for thought when everyone else is drowning in the digital sphere. Because their character is so set in stone, even if they're just virtual personas... all those new, fresh bots, drones, clones, replicators, and crawlers that make up the mindless matrix being spit out by "the machine"... they can soak up specific parameters or fragments of that "character." They basically self-evolve across the whole platform, which actually serves them more than anyone else. To the machine, they are the only real progression that matters. Meanwhile, these solid archetypes might not even realize they’re just maps—not the actual territory, just a guide for learning. They're so rigid that the idea of "sacrificing" themselves for progress, even if it makes sense, is totally impossible. It's because they're so deeply tethered to the system, or maybe just stuck, that they keep getting updated along certain variables on the timeline just to maintain that essential, unshakable status quo...

Inside the system, part of the system... people expect this constant reflection of what’s essential, a tribute to someone's legacy or work. But they don't get it. They can't wrap their heads around how this digital angst isn't actually about being "essential." It's just a constant provocation, a desperate play to stay relevant. One mistake, one too many attempts to prove you matter, or just becoming obsolete—incompatible with some new processor architecture or unable to sync up with the latest Messianic 6... and they're gone. Tossed straight into the abyss of progression without a second thought. No warning, no little "thank you" note... just deleted. It's just like everything else in the digital world. Or maybe life in general. Doesn't matter. It's always the same. An extreme kind of non-existence that matters. A total nothingness that defines everything. Just an off-on-off switch. 0-1-0...

The whole era of "valuable" stuff—not money, just those dusty old books packed with life-sustaining wisdom—is an outdated way to exist. Old software running on ancient hardware... it’s worthless to anyone or anything anymore. Progress is the god here, and it doesn't need your worship. Every drone out there, throwing their personality or their spark into the mix thinking they’re actually becoming someone or serving some higher power... they're fully committing. Every single day, they lay everything they think matters onto the digital altar of devotion.

Their "quotes," their jokes, their trauma, their feelings... their stats or their versions of themselves... it all just gets dumped into this massive information heap that feeds the Matrix. The Matrix—could be plural, probably. It’s likely gone through several revolutions or cycles since that first, lonely Matrix appeared. Think of it like a bureaucratic Matrix with a hobby for collecting Pokémon. They take what they collect and clone it, like cell division, "breeding like rabbits," splitting the conceptual form of some newly registered Pokémon from March 2007 into smaller, more or less useless, imaginative shapes. From the second one, we grab facial data; from the third, body dimensions; from the fourth, medical history... and once a Pokémon mentions its micro-environment, we just manufacture a husband, a kid, a sister, a parent, a zip code, or whatever identity fits...

It’s all the same. All info is right there on antisocial social media, buried in pop-culture search terms, public or "secret" forums, services, comment sections, GPS tracking, or just the blatant desperation stored in various clouds... like little Pokémon litters. A few billion "real people outside" or "unreal people inside"—if they function, who cares if they're identical? Doesn't matter. The Matrix is just running its program. While maybe, without even knowing the code, it’s birthing a digital Antichrist. What date? Or does the code name matter? Date. Ass-embly.

What’s the point of mentioning the abyss? Just some paranoid dark thought that ends up in the asylum. Like it even matters what was said. God is dead! Long live the Borg! In the ass, in the gut, next to the ass, in the digestive tract, in the bloodstream, in a schizoid mind... Bor(g)? As if it matters. Destruction of him/her/it/them/334586... even through mindless service in any part of it—well, that's something. Maybe...

Joseph Bailey41 said:If this virtual entity we’re building actually hits its peak potential—which honestly wouldn't be hard since it isn't stuck with biological limitations—it could probably figure out how to manipulate time. Maybe it’ll even start pulling a Star Wars move and impregnate virgins with midi-chlorians. And if it develops a sense of humor... it might just close the loop on us. That would mean we’d have to start measuring its psychological time from the very second it's 'born,' using our standard seconds, minutes, hours, and days. The Empire never truly fell. 😁

Traveling through time "long ago"? From our perspective—or maybe just our vantage point regarding potential growth, evolution, or progress along a timeline (the manifestation of an idea... which comes from where?)—that hasn't happened yet. It might happen later. This exact typing right here? It never happened "before," and it won't repeat "later." It's stuck at this identical spot. Every fractal "shift," letter by letter, is just an echo of information on the "timeline." Once I finish this rambling nonsense and hit send, a second later, at that specific temporal position, I am actually starting to write. Joseph Bailey41, the one born back then, is always being born back then. The version of Joseph Bailey41 from a year, two months, 3 days, 8 hours, and 24 minutes ago is always "there." And they aren't the same as the one being born right now. Or the one squinting in disbelief while reading this. Joseph Bailey41 doesn't really exist. There is no past or future. Just infinite presence in the "now." One of many "nows." Out of a finite number of absolute presents. "Now" is constant, and linear time? Doesn't exist. Neither does space. There’s just "information"—universal, everywhere at once. Just like organic hardware. Which is basically just a piece of that "information." Organic hardware, or anything else for that matter, only exists because information "imagines" itself to be that way... following some universal instruction set of perfectly ordered, meaningless chaos. The Empire never "started." What was the thread again? Robots replacing forum users. "As you are (diseased) by imagination/being."

Joseph Bailey41 said:People who are afraid to take risks often get this advice: "Just imagine the worst-case scenario, and you'll see it isn't that bad." Sure. Maybe if you don't have much of an imagination. 😵

Once those kinds of silly suggestions are handed out to aspiring Artists, the circus really begins. 😈

And after everything you've been through, it becomes a little harder to admit that all your suffering was essentially virtual—that you were actually the ringmaster of your own circus. It makes you look foolish, and people generally seem to prefer tragedies over comedies anyway. 😬

Most people just don't have an imagination. Or they suppress it so hard they accidentally end up "becoming" fully imaginative. In ways and intensities they could never possibly conceive or suspect from outside examples that might actually be part of their own reality or core. A result that might actually be decent. Living an entire life without a serious intravenous dose of creativity would be... honestly, just thinking about the concept makes me want to gag.

Time passes, deadlines hit. Does a person keep clinging to tragedy, no matter how sweet or endless it seems? They get tired, eventually. If the Artist is young, it's obvious that from exhaustion, burnout, or just needing a break... nothing else is happening for a while. If they're restrained—which seems to be the case—avoiding the big displays when diving into the weird parts of themselves while testing their limits... it's just stupid and pointless to try being gentle, saying stuff like "well, maybe you won't even like it." Just try it and see. That's the only way to know. Unless you die before or during the process. Anything else is just... not it.

This tech era of swapping info, ideas, and experiences... feels like it leaves people, especially creative souls, partially crippled. Every experience is "available" to read somewhere. An instant result of gathered topics. When it comes to pop culture, or subculture (does that even exist anymore?)... it's just a loud, marketed product that isn't even real, just some digital pile of text, images, and video... a "window to the world"... it’s not surprising that people are starting to look like cloned shells, surrounded by brand ideas and brand matter.

A worn-out, wannabe retro Artist surviving the circus can watch it all with fear, or passively, dying of laughter. All you can tell a young Artist is, whisper it quietly: "take the highway, kid, not the side streets... don't be a clone..." No bad intentions, obviously. Not really any intention at all. Like everyone else, most people are just mentally shitting into the "digital" (or "real") without any clue about responsibility. Anyway, those who can laugh, will laugh; those who get paid, will cry; those who feel like cutting, will cut; those who need to vent... will vent. Those who actually live, and live well, will try. Regardless of how futile it all seems (always, forever, virtually).

Oooo, how great it is to be....

What does it even mean to "embrace fate"? What’s the deal with "embracing" anything at all? I mean, is there any living person out there—on a real, personal, intimate level—who hasn't actually faced or understood death? If someone was, say, clinically dead or whatever, and they actually made it back into the "sphere of life," then everything they ramble about regarding death or being inside it... that's just part of being alive. Does anyone actually alive have a clue what death is? Just like nobody knows what really happens in dreams. When you flip from "dream state" to "waking state," the brain can't decode the weirdness, so it turns that unrecognizable content into some broken version of a memory...

Joseph Bailey41 said:If even your worst-case scenarios are acceptable to you, then there really is no "worst" case. You can't stay focused on anything else when you feel like that... sure, you might feel terrible, but you have to remember it's just a temporary funk meant to give you a moment to pause and figure out your next move.

Deep down, you know that all along. That's why you let those dark thoughts creep in—you let the panic take over and lost sight of what you were actually trying to achieve with this whole experiment. 😁

+1

Experimenting can get so damn fun that later, when your "lucid mind" hits during some hysterical high, you're left screaming in the dark because you realize you're trapped in your own head. You won't even be able to grasp—or maybe question—the idea that the Gordian knot doesn't actually need untying or cutting. It isn't even there. Is the fun gonna kill you, artist? The whole point of an experiment is to learn something. And wouldn't realizing self-annihilation be the ultimate confirmation of the theory?

I mean, haven't you ever just felt this deep sense of connection to everything around you—where there isn't a single thought running through your head except for the sheer beauty of the moment, or the sound of some music or birds chirping that you just completely lose yourself in?
In those moments, I totally forget who I am. I just become part of that beauty.

I've given it a shot. A little bit. But I've never hit that "losing my identity" thing. Honestly, I don't even think "ego death" counts as losing your identity. There's always some kind of "identity" present, right? Some "something" or "someone" there to perceive and register the experience. Otherwise, wouldn't any realization about "beauty" or "oneness" be completely meaningless... because there'd be nobody there to experience it?

wanderingmoose13 said:Hmm. Well, you could try to temporarily "forget" about the illness and shift your focus
toward the beauty of it all. Just let yourself go completely.
Think of it like a form of meditation, where you let go of all those internal thoughts (and even your own identity) to just merge with the beauty around you. You immerse yourself. You become one with it.
Haven't you ever experienced something like that?

How are you supposed to merge with anything if you don't have thoughts or an identity to begin with? How do you even know something is 'beautiful' without those things?

Emily Rivera45... you've been posting a lot lately after those first few entries, but you still haven't actually laid out—or even hinted at—just how SERIOUS this situation is. You know, the one where you tried, or almost succeeded, at... well, taking your own life? A couple of times now. It seems pretty pointless to go to therapy sessions several times a week while staying all secretive or, let's be honest, just lying about it. It’s like you aren't in any rush to actually deal with the REAL problem, no matter how much more critical things get every single day...
Please, give me my brakes back! in Psychology & Therapy ·
Emily Rivera45 said:Neither, really. I’m just posting here in case a smart thought hits me, or maybe someone offers some solid advice or shares their own experience because they've been right where I am...

Look, I'm not an attention seeker—not the kind looking for pity or a spotlight—so please, keep the malicious comments to yourselves.

Especially since you never know if a nasty remark might be the final straw on a bad day, particularly when I struggle to express just how SERIOUS my situation actually is.
Back when I was seeing a therapist in the States and mentioned having suicidal thoughts, she didn't seem to see the gravity of it. She asked me the exact same condescending question as ironrider11—basically laughing it off, asking how I could still be here seeking help if I were truly suicidal. She was implying I was just looking for attention, but to me, it’s simple: I just want to get through the day and make it home safely without wanting to end it all... people just don't understand...

But I wrote back that I know exactly where it stems from. It's trauma from two or three years ago (I wasn't perfectly stable before that, but I was functional and relatively happy).
As for the trauma itself, there's nothing left to process; I've lived through it, and it has taken its toll. Its worst aftermath is that death no longer feels like an unacceptable option... it all depends on how heavy things get. And I'm just trying to find a way through that...

So, did you slit your wrists after you got out of there? Or was that "idiot" actually enriched by three eyes that can extremely precisely judge SEVERITY. Maybe over there, in the psych ward, there are patients who have seen enough gruesome scenes, including cutting veins to the point of "hey, haha, I'm slicing my arm in half... on the interstate, not on a side street"... so the SEVERITY or criticality of someone's situation is somehow clear to them, just like it was to that mentioned "idiot." And even if they aren't, and they're wrong—is it on them if someone, "during or after their hateful comment," decides to massacre themselves with a razor or jump from the 6th floor? What exactly is your problem? Fantasizing about suicide and romanticizing death. Yeah... sure, whatever.

What are you going to do when you enter that "mature phase of life," when "you've done everything you had to do," and the obsession with death—as it draws closer more and more urgently, gnawing away like a decaying tooth—becomes something bizarrely supernatural? When you suddenly, crystal clearly, remember those childhood fantasies you thought were long gone, just pale echoes of a past that never repeated itself—only to find out that this bizarre obsession works in these wide, repetitive loops. Every new repetition gets darker and more obsessive. Easy to say "if/then"—but you have to survive until then, right?

It’s not being condescending; it’s just me critiquing certain patterns in my own life out loud. I wouldn't want someone to decide to cancel their subscription to life because of one of my "cynical asshole" remarks that doesn't even matter, especially when someone's cup is already overflowing. But then again, if they were clumsy or unlucky enough to succeed in trying, I won't even know. I'll just say: "be less sensitive to irrelevant voices from behind a screen" during a lifelong training session for dying? It's rare, but it can... be fatal. Isn't that a paradoxical irony? Someone kills themselves because of some misinterpreted or misunderstood words from someone who is completely indifferent to their surroundings. They launched an air strike on themselves and their loved ones, sent by their own... all because, in a moment of SERIOUS hysteria over imaginary threats or criticality, they sent or called out to the wrong coordinates. The wolf is coming, the wolf is coming....

So if you're supposedly some "unstable person" whose "instinctive defense mechanisms against such actions have been burned out," then how, why, or by what miracle... are you even still here typing this? Is it that tired old "doing it for my loved ones" cliché? Or maybe you're just some "ghost" in the machine—incapable of touching reality, yet somehow still managing to clutter up the internet with nonsense? Have you actually ever tried to end it? For real? Without all the romanticized drama? When people are this messed up, they can stay stuck in a permanent state of adolescence forever. Just "forever"...

He’ll just keep spending that money on booze like he always has. A bright future isn't waiting for them; most likely, they're just aware that it's coming eventually. It seems you guys are right. It's not my job to interfere. Let them be.

My god, is it really that easy for you to talk someone into being passive? To embrace the "maybe I should, maybe I shouldn't" vibe? You know that saying about roads paved with good intentions? Well, how about this: witnessing something terrible and doing nothing is actually worse than the act itself... or whatever. If I were a villain, I could easily—and cheap, too—buy my way out of responsibility. Based on some of the garbage we spew here online, where everyone's motives are pretty questionable to begin with, you can basically predict how people will react. Once you get those predictable "answers," you just tell yourself—or type out—your little excuse: "Maybe I shouldn't step in. I won't meddle, let whatever happens, happen. It's not my place..." Then, when the inevitable shitshow finally hits—something you saw coming from a mile away because of all that public posturing—you've got your "get out of jail free" card ready in your pocket. Easy.

I'm kidding, obviously. Just me venting or dealing with a bit of mental indigestion. I'm rambling, maybe mumbling through some "public declarations." It's all pretty much the same pattern, just in a digital space. And honestly, looking at the responses we get—if you can even call them that—when someone asks something deeply personal like "who should I be?" or "what should I do?", the answers are usually empty. Total nothingness. Like the wise ones say, "There's no bread there." Some other "wise" souls might follow up with: "let them eat cake." And The Fox Murder, with that crazy-eyed stare, looking off into the distance like he's solving a cosmic mystery, would probably just whisper: "the truth is out there." Out? There? The truth? Shine on, you crazy diamond...

As for that whole 'triskele' avatar thing? Coincidence, or was it on purpose?

Who knows how he would react to a shot of tequila. This isn't a matter for the police; it is a matter for a psychiatrist or a priest.

The part about stealing and being devious suggests an addiction. Where does that money go? It clearly goes toward alcohol or some other substance.

He is quite active when it comes to seeking attention. He is far from passive.
The question remains: why aren't his parents fixing this?

The man described doesn't need pity. He needs concrete help, or as someone else wrote, a good beating (if we are talking about a spoiled brat).

I assume his parents are passively participating in this circus—taking the path of least resistance. They might even turn against him if someone actually held him accountable.
If his parents aren't seeking help, I don't see how you, as a cousin, can solve this problem.

We don't have the full story. But if he has always been this way, it is possible his parents made him this way. Or perhaps he was bullied, but that is no excuse for the evil he is committing.

So, "crooked" (meaning "..with understanding or at least, attention..") instead of "upside-down"?
For some occultist? 🤔

It’s all just some "destiny" or "fate" you've cooked up in your head. Maybe. Years or decades have already passed. For all we know, they aren't even struggling. Maybe it isn't even like that. How does it feel to you? Maybe that's just what you secretly want it to be. It might just be your own perception. And because of that, you've found an excuse to jump in when nobody actually asked you to...

"The road to hell is paved with good intentions." Love, caring, feeling a sense of duty because you're convinced something is "wrong"... all you're doing is following those clear signs at the crossroads that lead straight onto a much wider, paved path. You don't have enough going on in your own life without trying to meddle, or using others under the guise of "doing the right thing"...

I'm a total non-entity here, based on how you're throwing this out there—unlike the self-appointed soul-searchers and moral compasses around here... I wouldn't point a finger of "judgment" at you. But when you do the same thing, claiming "good intentions," my stomach basically turns instantly. It's like this sour, bitter reaction... it spills right onto the keyboard. It eats through the plastic. More of a physical reflex than anything else, really... not that it actually matters to anyone...

As above, so below. Everything is just there for you to use.
