Gambit (2016) in Movies ·
Edward Ortiz77 said:Why not just bring back Taylor Kitsch? He actually played Gambit in Wolverine. Look, I get that everyone has different tastes, but Channing Tatum has always given me this vibe of being... well, a little slow, if you know what I mean. This casting feels like a total miss to me. I have no idea who's pushing this guy through Hollywood, but 👎

Honestly, I agree. Taylor Kitsch was great as Gambit, and I'd much rather see him reprise the role in this movie too.

Honestly, instead of just cranking out another Rambo sequel, I think it would be way more interesting to see a follow-up to Cobra.

I was honestly thinking about putting that in there too.

Took these shots about three years ago, back when I still had an NVIDIA GTX 560 tucked inside.
The motherboard is this black and red combo—even the BIOS matches the vibe.

Honestly, I think some red lights would look way better with that color scheme than those white ones.

An SSD in a $1667 build? I mean, sure...
That 500 GB HDD is going to fill up before you know it (especially if you're using it for gaming and movies). If I were in your shoes, I’d probably skip the SSD and just put that extra cash toward a bigger HDD instead. Games are getting massive these days; having one game take up 35+ GB is basically the baseline now.
I feel like I'm constantly clearing out 200 GB of space on my drive, and even then, it fills right back up.

I don't have any text from "Rocco18" to rewrite yet! Please provide the posts you want me to work on, and I'll get right to it—re-crafting them into that laid-back, conversational American style you're looking for. kaže:
I'm still looking for some clarity on this. Any thoughts?

I went ahead and grabbed a 60cm 4-pin Molex white LED strip to go right in with the case. Might pick up an NZXT braided LED kit later on, though—would be nice to actually have some control over the brightness and be able to dim them when I want.

That’s exactly why I grabbed it. I mean, if I had the chance to pick it up for a better price, why wouldn't I? Just felt like a no-brainer.
I think I nailed it with the matte black and red combo. 🙂

I’m just gonna throw my old rig in there for testing purposes until I can get my hands on a new build. 🙂
I'll get some photos over to you tomorrow once I've got everything assembled.

Wait, did you say Dell? 😁
Honestly, who cares if it's blue? Blue mixes pretty easily with red anyway. As long as the thing is high-quality and actually works when you need it to, that’s all that matters to me. 🙂

The other power supply works because they don't carry Silent at the local Best Buy, so I guess I'll have to order at least the CPU cooler from an online retailer instead.
Hey Nezz, I was actually debating the exact same thing recently. Are you leaning toward the Corsair CX600, or do you think you can snag something from a better brand for the same price?

I didn't even realize they made a dedicated LED kit for cases. That would actually look killer. Since you're rocking a black chassis, maybe some green lighting would pop more if you want that high-contrast look? On my Element G, I can tweak the fan LEDs to whatever color I want—you can even mess with the pulsing patterns—but I usually just stick to green. Even though it defaults to blue, the green just provides way more light.

Can't wait to see those pics once you've got everything hooked up! 🍿

When it comes to power supplies, honestly? Just make sure you see that "80 Plus" label on the box. That's really the main thing for me.
I've been running a Corsair GS600 for a while now, and honestly, I'm pretty happy with it. It's been solid.
Looking at that new case of yours, I think my power supply would actually look pretty sharp in there too. Might be a nice cosmetic match.

I totally missed three of the front vents on the interior side.

So, what kind of lights were you thinking about putting in there?

Why on earth is that NZXT case so pricey?
Kung Fury in Movies ·
The Comedian is actually pretty great in this flick 🤣
Plus, honestly? For such a tiny budget, the special effects aren't half bad.

I can't help but feel like this guy is giving off major Topper (Charlie Sheen) vibes from Hot Shots! Part Deux 😁

Or just keep it simple and grab a bigger case.
My rig actually has great ventilation, honestly. The only real downside is the price tag, but I’m pretty sure that’s more about the brand name than what you’re actually getting for your money.

That case looks a bit tight to me. Maybe I'm just seeing things, though. Does anyone know what the actual GPU clearance is in there?
In my experience, the limit for the Thermaltake is 280mm, and that new ASUS ROG GTX 970 is exactly 280mm long. It’s going to be a hair-thin fit. 😁

Regarding Mortal Kombat, I’m running an EVGA Z77 motherboard. It’s got that red aesthetic and clocked RAM. That board would be a solid choice for you, though I honestly doubt you could find one sitting on a shelf anywhere anymore.

It's a solid case. Mine's a TT Element g.

Too late though, I already pulled the trigger and paid for this thing from Future.😵

That’s exactly why you gotta wait until you have all the facts before making a call, instead of just throwing money around recklessly.😉 We're talking big bucks here, not just grabbing some milk at Walmart.

But hey, like Flatron mentioned, you can still give them a ring and cancel the order if you need to.

Anthony Hayes82 said:I mean, I’m really not looking for those Star Wars vibes with multi-colored LEDs popping out from every corner. I'm leaning towards a black and white aesthetic. Ideally, the motherboard should have a matte black PCB, not that cheap-looking brownish tint you see on most budget boards.
Since I’d probably grab a Fractal Design Define S, it would be the perfect setup. All black everything—maybe just some braided cables, the fans, and then some white LED strips to give it a subtle glow. 😁

And that Corsair 110 is a total must-have. Maybe not right away since I won't be diving headfirst into overclocking immediately, but it's definitely on my wishlist. 😁

Honestly, I’d mostly be modding it for myself, just so I can sit at my desk, look over, and actually enjoy the view. 🙂

Mhm, and you could pair that AIO with the i7 🍿
White LEDs or neon?

My rig is pretty decked out, though I rarely actually stop to look at it. 😁

There's a "case modding" thread somewhere in the hardware section where you can find all sorts of custom-built rigs.
Which build is better? in Desktops ·
What are you actually looking to do with it? Like, what's the end goal? And more importantly, what kind of budget are we talking about here?
For the amount of cash you'd probably drop on one of those pre-built rigs, you could honestly put together something way more solid and high-quality yourself. My advice? Just stay away from the pre-builts.

Anthony Hayes82 said:By the way, at first I was really leaning towards the Z97 Maximus IV Hero because those extra aesthetic touches looked cool, but in the end, I just went with this cheaper version. It looks pretty standard, nothing crazy, but it gets the job done. 😁

Look, you can find plenty of cheaper ways to get those Star Trek vibes inside your case. You don't have to blow a massive chunk of change on high-end components just to make it look good. 😁
