Come on, Reatju, just beat it.🙂

I'm heading out 👋

Edit - Paul Lopez49, this wasn't actually meant for you 😘

By the way,
I honestly find it a bit ridiculous when people try to mix sports with all this other nonsense.😢
At its core, sport has always been a symbol of peace...

Sports are one thing; the political tension with our neighbors is something else entirely.

Some matchups are just going to carry more weight than others. Besides, if every game was just some bland "Team A vs. Team B" scenario, it wouldn't be half as interesting.

And look, I'm not going to insult you—there’s no point. If you don't quite get certain things, that's fine. You are a woman, after all.🙂

Come on now, Ex 😘

I could probably go on about the specifics, but I think I'll 🙂

(that's from an old joke, I know, though I have no idea how it even applies here)

Since when? 😕

😁

Gonna head to bed now.👋

Maybe they're just lost somewhere out in the woods 😕

Americans seem to love getting under our skin more than a monkey loves bananas.🤣

😂

I don't think I'll ever quite grasp it.

I’m honestly just relieved we didn't run into the Spanish team. Every time I think about that final from last year... 😲

How bad did we get crushed? A seven or eight point gap? 🤔

I’m crossing my fingers for a matchup against France, though I know fatigue is probably starting to set in for everyone. Still, coming off a four-goal win like this should give our guys plenty of momentum; they're definitely going to play with some extra fire now.

Let's go, Team USA! Great win against the neighbors!

p.s. That commentator was on fire during the pre-game broadcast. He said something along the lines of, "The guys from across the border have nothing left to lose... it's true, they won't make it past this round regardless, but they know if they beat us, they'll get a massive hero's welcome back home. Meanwhile, if we lose to them, we lose twice over. We miss the semifinals, and the fans here will absolutely tear us apart for losing to our rivals." 🤣

Legend! 🙂

I suppose if you admit you're at least half wrong, people might actually forgive you.

I actually voted for the "someone else" option because I had Ivan Gudelj in mind. Honestly, the OP seems a bit naive and maybe even a little immature for not including a specialist of his caliber in the lineup. Or perhaps it’s just that classic American inferiority complex—that weird tendency to think anything homegrown just isn't up to par...

🤮

On another note, Mourinho. He might not be the absolute best right now, but he's one of the younger guys in the mix, so he'll likely be at the top of his game one day.
She’s the one.

I’ve attached a photo just to give you an idea of what I mean—don't worry about who's actually in it, that part isn't really the point.

Fair enough then. 😁

The only thing stronger than Luke is God.🙏
Man, looking at your avatar, it’s like you’re dancing to some cheesy folk tune instead of "Black Celebration" 😂

It’s giving me major vibes of watching a local street performer in Times Square 😁

Just clapping along, throwing your hands up, and shouting, "Let's go!" Go ahead then, perform a song with my name on it 🙂

🤣

p.s. who on earth is Ivanna Brkić? 😬

To be honest, I’m not even 100% sure she’s the one singing this track; it could just as easily be Lana Kurcevic at play. 😁
analogseal39 said:If you actually sit down and listen to Super Trooper and Beyond Nine Villages with an objective ear, you’ll realize only about 5% of the chorus sounds even remotely similar
and that is literally it. Nothing else.
Try a quick little experiment: if you mess with the melody of Super Trooper and then mess with the melody of Beyond Nine Villages, you’ll see they aren't even in the same ballpark...

A much better example of Thompson's plagiarism is Gen Kamen, which is basically just a cover of Vanhalen Jump.
That's the only real connection...

The thing is, both of them are plagiaries. Personally, I think "Gen Kamen" leans way more toward AC/DC's "Thunderstruck."😉
