So, I just finished watching that movie. Honestly, I don't think the ending could have been any more symbolic or fitting.
It seems like a lot of people are upset about how it wrapped up. They were probably expecting something else, like Clyde breaking out of prison, or Nick being killed off or landing behind bars instead.)
But let's be real—did everyone forget why Clyde was doing this in the first place? He did it because the justice system has become way too political. It's gotten soft on criminals, with people making backroom deals, and the law is being applied far too rigidly (which we saw clearly during Clyde's scene in the penitentiary) when dealing with judges who simply lack common sense. As he so perfectly put it: everybody must be held accountable for their actions . .There was absolutely no intention for him to walk out of that prison a free man...
Still, it was pretty entertaining watching him in Batman Begins. He really leaned into that old-school Michael Caine energy during the gunfight scene. :D
I have to agree, Sandler was actually quite impressive in those dramas he did. Still, I suppose people will always pigeonhole Williams as just a comedy actor. If you want a suggestion, World's Greatest Dad (2009)—it’s a solid blend of drama and comedy.
I could definitely get on board with that. Though, I have to admit, I really ought to sit down and catch up on his recent comedies first. It’s only fair. :-)
Andrew Roberts3 said:He’s great in Spanglish and Funny People too. He definitely has the talent, it's just that about 90% of his filmography consists of silly comedies.
Look, he’s a comedian. These kinds of movies just suit him perfectly. Honestly, if he suddenly starred in a gritty action flick or a horror movie right now, people would be shocked all over again. Some actors simply aren't destined to jump between genres.
Beatrix should have been included. We’re missing Lola (Franka Potente), Amelie (Audrey Tautou), Lady Vengeance... even Michelle Yeoh and Zhang Ziyi in Shang-Chi. It feels like action roles are disproportionately given to male characters instead.
I spent some time looking up drive speeds online, and everything seems standard. I am curious about how external hard drives will perform, though. Should we expect to hit those maximum transfer speeds when using them?
I'm running into a bit of a snag here. I am trying to transfer a 1.2 GB folder onto an 8 GB SanDisk Cruzer Nano, and it is taking about four minutes to finish. If I'm using a USB 2.0 port, shouldn't that process be significantly faster?
