Too much of a good thing... in Psychology ·
My brain is basically fried from information overload. I’m trying to tune out everything that isn't actually relevant to me right now.

What have you been doing lately?

(And let's not talk about the "O" part of the equation... we all know that's just code for cooling down eggs)

Btw, something just hit me.
Would you guys be ashamed to write out your own daily or weekly schedule here?

edit: except for darkcanyon10, who totally gets the point of this thread
and Paul Thompson3, who’s too busy dealing with deer sightings and doctor appointments because of his crazy schedule

I've always had some kind of exercise routine.
Running once, some strength training, now it's yoga.
Then I find something productive—reading books, learning something new, making jewelry, photography, or working through math problems. Back in my younger days, I used to sew. Journaling, too.
Then I head outside, either biking or walking through nature while snapping photos along the way.
A little social time here and there.
And then there's the endless cycle of chores—cooking, cleaning, laundry...
It's hard to actually fit it all in.

Honestly, I'd be pretty happy if I didn't have to go to work and could just focus on all of this.

You mentioned you tutor math sometimes. Why not make that a bigger thing? Like, one session every workday. You probably need the cash, right?

The question is, what do I actually want?

- I want to be six feet under.

Mission accomplished!

That’s why this thread is simple-as-is .... there’s no point overthinking or racking my brain. Just get it done. Why? Because it’s on the schedule. That’s the only thing that keeps me grounded. No philosophy required. Damn schedules. Even Google won't give me my actual schedule; it just gives me vague suggestions... nothing concrete.
I probably need to break into a military base and swipe the captain's master schedule.

Anyway, one thing's for sure:
- I know exactly what I'm doing at 10:00 PM.

Alright, I haven't read the whole thread, so I might end up asking something you've already covered.
First off, what do you do for a living?
But fine, until you figure that out, the first goal you can set—before you even know what your other goals are—is to work on your physical and mental sharpness.
Once you eventually settle on a goal, you'll be better equipped to handle it. That means getting some exercise and learning something new.
Second, since you clearly aren't in the best headspace right now, look for things—anything, really—that make you feel slightly better.
Make even tiny changes that might shift your perspective.

If only I had all this free time. Though, I guess I've had periods like this before.
I’m really not a fan of those tired, overused clichés.
I actually prefer it when someone intentionally swaps out a word for something unexpected, or just refers to an object as "that thing" instead of using its actual name.
Jeans recommendations? in Fashion ·
Brandon Gonzalez said:I swung by the LTB at the mall last weekend, and honestly... not impressed. Like I mentioned in my post above yours, I was hunting for the exact same thing. Out of their massive selection, they only had one single pair with bootcut legs and a low rise (which weren't really my style)—everything else was just skinnies. Maybe they updated the stock since then... 🤷
Ended up grabbing a pair from S.Oliver and ordered some Pepe Jeans on ASOS instead—both were low rise with straight/bootcut legs.

Check out Lee—they have some straight-leg options (I personally dig the Marlin style), and I think they carry some bootcuts too.
