Gold 👍, bravo!
Raymond Mitchell probably isn't pregnant—but Mother Nature is a fickle, unpredictable bitch, so anything goes. Whatever she does, she shouldn't take that morning-after pill on a whim; > was right about that. Even if she rushes to an OB-GYN this Monday, they won't see a thing yet—I was seven weeks along during my last pregnancy and could barely make out the gestational sac on the ultrasound. There’s really nothing to do but wait for her next period. And maybe learn a lesson for next time—not that this is even the topic at hand, but I just had to say it. 😉
Look, boldridge3, YOU ARE NOT PREGNANT. Honestly, reading through this thread sometimes makes me feel like I’m listening to a group of ten-year-olds asking these kinds of questions. 🙄It’s been far too long since your relationship ended for a test to give you a false positive—plus, you were dealing with your period anyway. There is zero reason to worry.
boldridge3 said:I am honestly losing my mind here. I’ve been dealing with constant bloating for ten days straight, and my stomach is sticking out like I’m several months pregnant. 😉 My digestion is also completely off; I’m barely having a bowel movement every other day, which might be part of the issue. On top of that, my period has never been this light before—usually, it lasts about four days, with the first two being heavy and the last two tapering off, but this is practically non-existent. It’s like it didn't even happen. I’ve never had issues like this in my life. I’m 25, and since I started my cycle back in elementary school, I’ve only dealt with irregularities a handful of times. If I take a pregnancy test tomorrow, will the results actually be reliable? Usually, you’re supposed to wait a few days before your expected period, so the timing of all this is just throwing me for a loop. 😕

Where on earth did you get that from? It’s just not right—the later you run the test (specifically regarding the relationship), the higher the probability of accuracy.
mellowranger16 said:When did you actually find out you were pregnant? Like, when did you get that first positive test?
maybe that info will help her

I found out by pure accident—just a few days after my period ended, I took a test mostly for kicks because a coworker insisted, especially since my breasts were killing me. Then, naturally, I got another period right after that. I didn't get any medical intervention either—my OB-GYN felt the baby needed to fight its own battles. And wouldn't you know it... the little guy won. 😍

Just take a test tomorrow; if there's anything there, it'll show. 😉
I had my period during those first two months—pretty much a standard flow, though maybe just a tiny bit lighter than usual. 🤷

When I told people at work I was getting married in September—it was January at the time—they immediately hit me with: "Oh, are you expecting?" As if, if I were actually pregnant, there's no way I would have waited eight months just to tie the knot. 🤣

After six months of marriage passed without a pregnancy, they started asking, "So, what are you waiting for?"
Once we hit the one-year mark, the gossip started: "Poor things, they're probably going to have issues."
By the second year, people were literally inventing diagnoses for us and shoving unsolicited advice on how to conceive down our throats.

Then, when I finally did get pregnant after two and a half years of marriage, suddenly everyone’s tone changed to: "Aww, poor things, I feel so bad for them, they had such a hard time."🤣

😂
bluetiger212 said:No worries at all Nicole Rogers8! I really hope everything turns out okay. From what I’ve gathered—and please feel free to correct me if I'm off base here—those patches release certain hormones, so I don't think they just vanish from your system instantly... anyway, keep me posted! Best,

Wow,
really 😕 😲 I honestly had no clue about that! Every time I take a test, I make sure to read the instructions—I think I practically know them by heart at this point 😂—and they always say you shouldn't read the result too early or too late... Even though it makes sense that it should react strictly based on whether those hormones are present or not! Well, I guess I learned something new today. 😉

I know, I thought the exact same thing—I was even pointing out the part in the instructions to my husband where it says the test is invalid if you read it after 30 minutes (which was my mistake because we were rushing off to dinner, and since my period had been a bit lighter than usual, I was convinced I wasn't pregnant anyway, but I was!) and I accidentally left the test sitting right there on the bathroom counter. When we finally got back and 😕. So, the next day I went to the local CVS to ask about it, and the pharmacist told me exactly that. Turns out, she was right. 🤷😉
bluetiger212 said:No, neongardener6, it’s actually her 15th day today since I also started mine on the 31st... Though I wouldn't really suggest taking a test right this second. Honestly, I'm not even sure if she actually ovulated, but if you're questioning that flow, then maybe... I guess it could be something. Maybe try making one more test and post a photo? Not that there's much we can really say about the picture if more than 5-10 minutes have passed since it beeped ☕

This doesn't always happen—I took a test once and it was negative after 10 minutes, so I just left it sitting in the bathroom and walked away. When I came back (about 2 or 3 hours later), it had turned positive. I went straight to the pharmacy the next day for a different brand, and the pharmacist told me I was definitely pregnant; she said regardless of the "late line," those tests react specifically to the pregnancy hormone—it's either there or it isn't. I tried a different brand later that same day anyway, and it showed a positive result immediately. 🤷
hiddentiger80 said:Well, I have officially reached that stage myself... 😁 I ordered my stroller, and when I mentioned the price, all I got was shock and disbelief. Then, when I remarked the other day that I felt like I was picking out a luxury car instead of baby gear (which is no small feat 😳, since I'm clearly not built for this kind of stress 😬), she just told me that I chose to spend the money, so now I shouldn't complain 🤣

Just try to ignore it or snap back at them (if you can)—since I've recently lost all my restraint and, frankly, don't actually care to find it. Who is supposed to be considerate here anyway; me toward them, or them toward me? Honestly. 🙂

I feel like I just have to chime in on this one... 😲 Are you actually sure about those measurements, dear? I do most of my shopping at Target, and ever since my band size bumped up to an 85E—it used to be 80E—the staff there always used to give me these looks because I seemed so "small" for such a large cup size... Honestly, I don't think I've ever met anyone who wears a 75 and has a cup that big... My friend has a toddler and she's also an 80 band, so I guess I'm just wondering if it's all about how different brands scale things, or if there are people out there with proportions that make mine look tiny by comparison.😉

I just had to weigh in on this... 😲 Are you absolutely sure about those measurements, dear? I shop at Target, and ever since my size bumped up to an 85E—well, it would have been an 80E before—the staff there always gave me these looks because I seemed way too "slim" for such a large cup size... Honestly, I've never met anyone who wears a 75 and has a cup that big. My friend has a toddler and she's also an 80, so now I'm genuinely wondering if sizing varies wildly or if there's someone out there with a bust twice as massive as mine!😉

I'm also a 75D or 75DD. And no, I'm not exactly "curvy"—I weigh about 120 lbs. 🤷 Now that I'm pregnant, I've moved up to an 80E. 😉
Regarding my mother-in-law—she actually called my mom the other day just to claim we’re overdoing it with the baby gear (as if we’re blowing our budget on overpriced nonsense). Of course, she was really aiming that at me—since I'm clearly the one "influencing" my husband to pick the premium options. 🙄 I wouldn't even care if we didn't all know how he is—everything has to be top-tier or he’s perpetually dissatisfied. But since he's her golden boy, why wouldn't she just pin the blame on me instead? 🤣 Naturally, she won't say a word to him directly—she's too intimidated by him.
🙄 I mean, I get where they’re coming from—they were raised in a completely different era, so our way of thinking probably seems totally alien to them—but honestly, just keep your mouth shut and stay out of it. 😳
Charles Moore49—just let her talk and do what she wants. Obviously, you can't just buy everything in a three-day window; it took me three whole months just to pick out a stroller—first browsing online, then hitting the stores, and finally making a call. It’s smart to keep an eye on sales too, since you can snag much better deals that way—something that doesn't happen in a single weekend. And honestly, it's not too early at all; I personally think everything should be ready a month ahead of time because you never truly know when that baby is going to make its appearance. It's all just old wives' tales and superstitions. 😉
I’m with you there—if people actually had anything worth offering. Honestly, even from those I expected a little something from, I didn't see a single person step up with even a hand-me-down size 6—not even once. And believe me, I’d gladly take it. It’s just incredibly irritating.😠
jadejackal said:I’m honestly just baffled by how much some people feel the need to stick their noses in my finances. 😠

I'm not an idiot; I’m not going to blow my entire savings on a summer vacation, high-end baby gear, designer clothes, or the latest tech... only to end up with an empty fridge.
But it's always the people living way beyond their means who feel entitled to comment on how much we spend, or tell us we don't need all this stuff for a baby... 🙂 Excuse me? Who asked you? You aren't the ones footing the bill. 😛

Right now, I'm catching heat for my diaper bag (because apparently, why buy a nice one when there are cheaper options? Sure, there are—but I LOVE this one, and I paid for it myself 😛), my new MacBook, and the car seat base (which is incredibly expensive—and get this, it's coming from a mom whose baby is only a few months old and still travels in a basket rather than a proper car seat 🙂🙂).

Yes—there’s always some wise guy ready to lecture you, just like feralmoose32 said. The worst part is that I’ve known her for years; until about two years ago, she was living the high life—constant shopping trips and luxury vacations. Now, she’s a single mom navigating a much harder reality since the father—who was essentially her financier—is out of the picture. It’s a tough situation, and honestly, I feel for her—I’ve stepped in to help her a thousand times—but I also know that if she were still in her old tax bracket, she’d be buying a stroller far more expensive than this one. That’s why it gets under my skin. Everything is overpriced—everything—but I’ll take investing in my kid over buying a flashy car any day. At the end of the day, people should spend their money however they see fit. 😳

feralmoose32 said:What do you think will happen when I mention I'm planning to use a private hospital for delivery? 😬
It'll probably be just as pointless as the stroller thing—she'll likely say there are plenty of public hospitals available if I really wanted to, or that it’s just such an unnecessary expense... 🙄
I mean, why does it concern them so much?
I really can't stand it when people act like they're auditing my bank account while they're sitting there drowning in credit card debt from their own car payments, furniture, summer trips, and ski vacations. 🤮

Honestly, I can't imagine why anyone would care—if you have the funds and it makes you feel better after everything you've been through, then why not? It’s a deeply personal decision—why should anyone else even weigh in? You know what works for you better than anyone else does. 🙂
hiddentiger80 said:I am pushing myself just to feel like myself again—trying not to be irritable, overly sensitive, or constantly on the verge of tears. I’m forcing myself through workouts and sticking strictly to my diet (though, full disclosure, I’ve already gained 7 pounds) 🤷 which makes me wonder why I haven't been flagged for complications, or why I haven't had to undergo a thousand different tests (including Torch and all those other screenings)... and of course, why I choose to handle everything privately and how much that actually costs 🙂 (especially for people who are drowning in credit card debt because they wasted money on useless junk and designer clothes). Plus, I’ll just have to wait and see if things take a turn for the worse and how my private doctor handles it (usually involving people who have never even stepped foot in a specialist's office and are far too old to bother going 😬). Sometimes it feels like I'm being punished simply because I don't fit the "perfect" mold or because I'm choosing to act like a normal human being (thank Quincy I can) ... as if they are all just sitting there waiting to say, "See? We told you so..." 🙂

Ugh, tell me about it—I know this feeling all too well! 🙂
I’m honestly reaching my breaking point with this one friend—she is constantly rubbing our stroller purchase in our faces just because we spent a premium on it. 🙄 No matter what we’re talking about—whether it's iPhones, dinner plans, or vacation spots—somehow the conversation pivots back to our stroller and its price tag. It’s bizarre. And if we even dare to mention that something else is expensive or that we have a bill to pay, her immediate response is always some variation of, "Well, you shouldn't complain, considering how much you dropped on those strollers." 😠 Between the sheer annoyance and my pregnancy hormones, I am hovering dangerously close to telling her to take a hike if she brings up those wheels one more time!!!! 🙂
Morgan Kim2 said:We always said we’d get married once I got pregnant—everyone just kind of rolled with it. But the second we actually picked a date and a guest list, all hell broke loose. Suddenly it was: "Why are you having such a tiny wedding?" (It was just 16 of us; we both wanted it small, plus I was on bed rest at the time—what was I supposed to do, watch everyone else dance while I sat there?) 🙂, then: "Why isn't it in a church?" or "Why didn't you invite Cousin Vinny?" We only invited the elders, our godparents, sisters, and two grandmas. Then there were the comments about my 5-inch heels—as if being pregnant makes me ineligible for style—and a thousand other nitpicking questions. But the absolute kicker? My aunt had the nerve to tell me that if we didn't baptize the baby, she’d just do it behind our backs 🙂. Like, excuse me? She didn't even bother asking if we *wanted* that to happen. Well, newsflash: we do. 😂

😂 Honestly, what is wrong with some of these grandparents? My father-in-law actually told me he was going to call the baby by his own name because he wasn't a fan of the one we chose. 🤣 Just once, I'd like to hear him use the actual name.....☕
Sophia White8 said:Well, at the Department of Justice headquarters in Washington, D.C., that isn't the case. It just says DISABLED CITIZENS HAVE PRIORITY. I checked myself about two months ago...

Fair point—but honestly, I think it's more a matter of basic etiquette than what some sign says. I work at JPMorgan Chase, and we don't have anything posted either; however, if I see a pregnant woman waiting in line, I'll call her up first—provided I have the green light from management, of course. It's not exactly rocket science.
