Personally, I’ve been rocking an old Creative setup at home for seven years, along with some 2.1 systems. Once I swapped in this card, the sound quality just hit a whole different level. Suddenly, the bass is deep enough to make a Mosleys player shake, and you can actually hear every single cymbal clearly. It sounds incredible. My advice? Grab a sound card from someone like Creative or a similarly well-known brand $100 and definitely pair it with those Klipsch Reference Series speakers mentioned above.
Why bother with Word right away? Personally, I just have it scan directly to PDF first since that’s foolproof, then I move everything over to Word to format it properly.
Just relax. I was the exact same way when I was a kid. I’d just pick some random word and repeat it over and over until it felt "right," then I'd finally feel okay again. Once I grew up, the UN stuff just vanished. No clue where it went.
I think most people would agree—even if someone showed up with every single symptom on the list, finding a person who checks every single box is probably a long shot. They might have most of them, but all of them? Unlikely.
In my opinion, you’re looking at actual madness when someone loses their grip on reality entirely. When they can't tell what's real anymore, or they're constantly insisting that everyone finally "gets" them, or they've got an imaginary friend they chat with daily... those are the clear signs that something is seriously broken.
Maybe you've got some malware on your PC that's duplicating files. With Word, if you end up with about 15 different versions, it usually means you've hit "save" at least 15 times—that's definitely how it works on my machine. Try what the guy above suggested and let us know how it goes.
Don't even bother wasting your time with anything older than build 7600. You can find it online pretty easily if you need to "buy" it. Everything else you're looking at is just an RC version, and it'll probably crash on you every two hours.
If I remember correctly, back in Word 2003 you just went to View > Header and Footer and you could do whatever you wanted. With Microsoft Office 2007, you should be able to just double-click the header or footer area to get into that same editing mode.
That’s why I’m asking—it’s driving me crazy watching my current keyboard collect dust. I can feel it happening, and I know grit is already settling into the switches, which is the last thing I need. If anyone else has dealt with this, let me know.
I'm looking at picking up this keyboard because I want something I can actually wash without breaking it, plus it looks tough enough to handle whatever spills I inevitably drop on it. If anyone here has actually used one, let me know how it holds up.
