Look, nobody is showing up next weekend either unless you actually put it in writing that we're grabbing coffee then.😁

So, what did you end up seeing?

Everyone’s gonna give you a different line, honestly—it’s all just noise at this point.

So, why don't you tell me what *you* think?

Alright then, let's lock it in for Friday—better give everyone a heads-up sooner rather than later so they can actually plan around it.

So, when’s the next get-together happening? I’m thinking we should all hit it up this Saturday

Look, if you’re actually serious about this, just head over to your local family doctor and get them to write you a referral for psychotherapy. It's honestly the easiest way to get the ball rolling—just a quick trip to the clinic to get that paperwork sorted so you can finally talk to someone who actually knows what they're doing.

Look, there’s really no point in us trying to weigh in or give you any advice here—I mean, we don't know the first thing about your life. We aren't exactly mind readers, and without knowing what you've actually been through or how you operate, any opinion we throw out would just be total guesswork. It's hard to get the full picture when we're basically flying blind.

Everyone’s out here fighting for LGBTQ+ rights—and honestly, I’m just a total mess. But wait, isn't everyone basically fighting for their own rights every single day? People hunt for truth, people crave love—I mean, most people can never get enough money, right? And me? Clearly, I can't get enough attention... which is funny because I don't really have friends, so I guess I'll just vent to you guys, my dear Facebook internet pals. So, a buddy of mine (not a hookup, just a friend) and I were chatting: him: "Hey, how've you been?" me: "Man, if I told you, the whole town would know by tonight... should I just keep quiet?" him: "What do you mean the whole town? I'm not a gossip." me: "Maybe I'd express myself better in a letter..." him: "Wanna grab coffee IF YOU FEEL UP TO IT?" (seriously though, willpower is one of those things that's always hardest for people like us to find). me: "Ugh, I don't know... I feel like I might start sobbing right in the middle of Starbucks. I just started taking some meds and they seem okay, but yeah... just send a prayer my way. I'm living with my dad right now, so I'm grateful for the food and the bed, but my room is about the size of a postage stamp—basically, I'm living in a closet. To make matters worse, my ex-husband is acting like he owns the place with my business—even though he pays $333—after he treated me like absolute trash and could've given me an STD or something. Now he's driving my car and running my company like a boss, even though my dad handed everything to him on a silver platter just because we WERE married. He's even using our family land as a parking lot and a dump. The guy has a new wife now, while I've been stuck in the hospital longer than ever and I'm just totally broken. God, please forgive me, I just don't have any strength left." him: "I'll definitely pray for you. Sometimes there are no smart words to say and I can't give you advice, but I will tell you this: everyone is only as strong as they want to be." me: "See, that's why I didn't tell you sooner." So, fast forward to now—I show this to my dad, and he goes: "Well, since those $333 don't mean anything to you, why don't you just give me $500 from your Social Security so I can be your guardian?" and I said, "Let the government be my guardian then," and Dad just goes, "Fair enough." For anyone wondering, the business is legally mine, but he (my ex—haha, he's sooo hardworking, unlike regular people who actually work, and then there's a world-breaker like me who does nothing at all) is running the show. I'm not going to do anything drastic or anything, I'm just going to sleep, but honestly? I'm terrified of ending up locked away again. I just can't do this anymorerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!
😒🙂

Well, you basically dug your own grave right there with that first sentence.

silentmarlin76 said:I honestly can't even begin to tell you how much I’ve been overthinking this whole situation lately, like, my brain just won't shut up about it, you know? I was sitting there just staring at my screen, probably looking like a total space cadet, thinking back to what urbanskipper4 said earlier, and it really hit me how much we all just struggle with the same weird stuff. It’s kind of wild when you think about it, isn't it? We're all just out here doing our best, trying to navigate life without losing our minds, and sometimes it feels like we're just spinning our wheels in some massive suburban parking lot in Ohio or something. Anyway, I don't mean to ramble on forever—though I know I totally do—but I just felt like I had to share that little thought because it felt important in that weird, late-night sort of way. Just one of those things, I guess!

Yeah, honestly, if you're eating everything in sight, then yeah, the Paxil will definitely make you pack on the pounds—but you don't actually have to eat like that, you know? It’s all about how you handle it. I don't think Lyrica makes you gain weight per se, but man, almost every single one of these meds makes you feel super bloated and puffy. It's just one of those things. Anyway, regardless of what anyone else says, you should probably go get some liver function tests done, just to be safe and make sure you aren't running yourself ragged. 😉

I was just sitting here thinking about everything we’ve been discussing lately, and honestly, my head is kind of spinning from all the different perspectives flying around this thread. It feels like everyone has such a unique take on how things are going, which I guess is why I spend so much time lurking here, even when I don't have much to add myself. Sometimes I feel like I'm just drifting through these conversations, trying to make sense of the chaos, you know? Anyway, I'm just hanging out, processing it all, and hoping that eventually, some of this stuff starts to click for me. Just one of those days where I'm feeling a little extra reflective, I suppose. kaže:
So, look, there’s no actual addiction issue here or anything like that, but I decided to run a little experiment on myself this week by tapering off my Zyprexa. Honestly? Total disaster. I was pulling these insane all-nighters where I wouldn't even hit the pillow until 5:00 AM, only to be jolted awake by my alarm at 7:00. I really went into this thinking that once the medication cleared out of my system, my sleep cycle would finally stabilize and things would actually feel better—you know, like I'd finally get some decent rest. But nope, absolutely nothing. My sleep is still non-existent, and honestly, everything else feels pretty crappy too.

How long has it actually been since you stopped taking Zyprexa? I mean, how many nights have you gone without any real sleep now?

Yeah, well, I went back on the Zyprexa.

I'm probably gonna be popping that crap for the rest of my life, honestly.

I've been using Q-pin for sleep for about two years now and it works wonders for me, plus my doctor assured me that you don't get addicted to these types of meds.👍

Addicted? Please. But listen, I decided to run my own little experiment last week by cutting out my Xanax cold turkey, and man, what a disaster. I was staring at the ceiling from 5 AM until 7 AM every single night. I kept telling myself, "Hey, once the chemicals clear out of your system, you'll sleep like a baby," but that was total BS. It didn't help one damn bit. Still tossing and turning like crazy.

Maria Clark5 said:I URGENTLY need some advice here... I’m on 800 mg of Seroquel and two 300 mg Depakote pills. I was taking them religiously until I started gaining weight at an absolutely insane rate. I went from 49 kg to 76.6 kg in just a month and a half!!! 😲Now I’m avoiding the Depakote because I honestly don't give a damn about this epilepsy I might not even have... but I’m literally getting stretch marks everywhere—on my hips, my waist, my breasts look terrible, it's all red, and even under my arms. I asked my psychiatrist if the Seroquel is causing the weight gain and they just said no. Well, I don't know what else to blame, but I look like a monster right now; if I had a boyfriend, he'd dump me instantly.

How do you guys deal with the weight? I know I should exercise, but I just can't find the motivation. Is there some kind of tea, a pill, or anything to blunt this weight gain? At 4'11", I'm heading toward 220 lbs and it's brutal. My bones and veins actually ache because my small frame can't handle this much weight.🤦

It isn't the meds making you fat, it's the food—the meds just make you ravenous.

And honestly? When it comes to the hunger, you just gotta suck it up and suffer through it.

I don't even know where to start with this one—it’s just one of those things that makes you want to stare at a wall for twenty minutes. Honestly, some people just have zero chill when it comes to making a scene, right? It’s like they wake up every morning looking for something to get worked up about, and then they find it. It's exhausting just watching from the sidelines. I was grabbing a coffee down in Seattle the other day—just trying to have a quiet moment, mind you—and I saw this guy absolutely losing his mind over something totally trivial. Same energy. Just total, unadulterated nonsense. We really need to stop giving these types the attention they crave, because let's face it, it's never going to satisfy them. They'll just move on to the next thing they can complain about. It's a cycle, man. A never-ending, ridiculous cycle. kaže:
Teddy Roosevelt, (mind if I call you that?)

Yeah, I can definitely do that. Just lay it out for me—what are we working with? Give me the raw details and I'll get to work turning it into something actually worth reading.
Everyone just calls me that, honestly.

I mean, seriously—if they aren’t even bothering to talk to individual patients, what is the actual point of going to the hospital? Unless you’re being hauled in there against your will, I don't see the logic. It feels like a total waste of time.

Look, I don't know how much clearer I can make this—it’s pretty simple math. When your home life is a total disaster zone—we're talking people in your own family getting physical, constant drinking, everyone just constantly stepping on you and treating you like garbage—you’ve gotta get out. Honestly, checking yourself into a hospital is a better move than staying in that toxic mess. Your environment is the absolute root of all that stress, and let's be real: stress is basically fuel for every single illness you could have. It just makes everything worse.

Nicole Barrett76 said:In that case, why not just leave, provided you have the means? Regardless of any negative marks on your hospital record, I would walk away in a heartbeat if I were able, given that I am also currently unemployed. I’ve tried to make a move, but my psychiatrist won't clear me. The screening process for admission to the ward is incredibly stringent because the demand is overwhelming while bed availability is so limited.

In a way, isn't that rigorous selection actually a positive thing? It ensures that psychiatric assistance is reserved for those who truly need it most. However, the fact that doctors seem to focus almost exclusively on mass-prescribing pharmaceuticals rather than engaging in actual dialogue with outpatient patients is an absolute disgrace.

They have to admit you if you want to be there.
At the end of the day, if you tell them you're suicidal, they are legally obligated to take you in. 😬
Just focus on that last part of what you said—anything those doctors provide at the local psychiatric hospital, you can get while you're at home.

The hospital is really only an option as a "cooldown" period for when your environment is totally toxic and making it impossible to function normally.

Larry Lewis said:Oh, sure—except maybe don't wait until four years into a relationship to suddenly decide that my schizophrenia is actually
an issue for you, just like it is for me.🙂

Trust me, if you had more cash in the bank, she’d suddenly find your whole situation totally manageable.

Back in 2008—good grief, feels like a lifetime ago, doesn't it?—I actually managed to land a date with this absolutely stunning Border Collie girl... but she was from San Francisco, so, well, nothing ever came of it.
And that was it—nothing more to say, nothing else to follow. Everything just... stopped.

I actually know a few people—married now, mind you—who first crossed paths at a DNC convention. It’s funny how that works, isn't it? You go there expecting nothing but political posturing and endless debates over policy, only to find a lifelong partner amidst all the chaos. I remember once, years ago, being stuck in a crowded hall during one of those massive gatherings, just nursing a lukewarm coffee and feeling completely disillusioned with the whole spectacle... and yet, life has a way of throwing these little curveballs when you least expect them. It just goes to show that even in the most exhausting environments, something unexpected can actually take root.

But honestly? That sounds amazing. You find someone who isn't going to judge you for being sick or demand some massive bank account just to stay by your side. Just love, pure and simple.

Larry Lewis said:Look, I don't even have the energy for that—not with those filthy, unwashed bathrooms and being hauled out of bed at the crack of dawn.
Between the cocktail of pills they pump you full of just to stay conscious—or rather, to sleep through the chaos—it’s all too much... I've officially thrown in the towel.
Just gave up.

The only thing you might actually manage there is finding a girl to flirt with, if you're lucky. That's about it.

They stuck me in a group where the average age is basically 55...🤦
