No, I actually look quite different. I was just saying that the basic face shape ends up looking similar because of that specific angle and that terrible lighting. If we were actually comparing decent photos—like the one on the right—I’d look like a totally different person.

It's still really obvious in motion—take a look at this video clip. It matches the photo on the right, and it's also without any duckface or Photoshop.

Maybe it's the runway lights, but I doubt it; he looks way better than in that first shot on the left, even during daytime shows where the lighting is much more subtle.

You're missing the point. He walks around with his cheeks sucked in—it's pretty much a constant duckface. You can easily spot the tension around the corners of his mouth. Honestly, it's what they all do. Plus, his body fat is so low he almost looks malnourished. He looks much healthier in the edited photo.

Yeah. I can pull it off to some degree, but that feels a little weird.

His features probably wouldn't stand out that much in person. I actually know a few male models—they look totally different in photos than they do in real life. Plus, they almost always pull a subtle duckface during shoots, which tends to emphasize certain facial features too.

The real reason people on the left label him as "subhuman" is actually simpler than that:

I end up looking a lot like this guy whenever I snap a photo like the one on the left—but honestly, it’s more about the lighting than the actual lens. Though, I suppose both play a part. Regarding the Photoshop claims, most of those photos are definitely edited. They just lean into certain facial features to make them pop.

It really just comes down to camera quality, the lighting, and a little bit of Photoshop.
