Chest pain can sometimes be tied back to issues with your spine, but honestly, there are just so many different things that could be causing it. Here’s a quick rundown of some potential culprits:
If you’re looking for a government facility, you can’t go wrong with physical medicine at St. Jude’s. They have some really great, highly skilled specialists and their rehab program is solid—definitely the best option in NYC if you're going through Medicare.
Back when I used to handle patient admissions at the hospital, the biggest headache by far was always the folks coming in for their relatives. You know the type—they’d show up demanding to be seen right this second, and heaven forbid if you couldn't fit them into the schedule immediately...
And honestly... I can't even tell you the kinds of people I had to deal with. Sometimes it’s a real struggle to keep your cool and stay polite when someone rolls in at seven in the morning, reeking of booze and looking like they haven't seen a shower in days.
Walter Smith8 said:So, I just got back from my beach trip. Right at the start of my vacation, a jellyfish stung my leg. It wasn't a huge sting, so I was left with this little "tentacle" mark. I rinsed it out in the ocean, then later in the shower at the rental, and applied some hydrocortisone. By the second day, there was almost nothing left, so I didn't really worry about it—I just stuck to my usual routine of sunscreen and after-sun lotion after showering.
I haven't been obsessively checking myself in the mirror, but I figure it's gone since I catch glimpses of everything when I'm getting ready to head out or whatever... I haven't noticed any lingering redness.
But today, nearly ten days after the "incident," I happened to glance down at my leg, and look at that! The mark is raised and red, actually looking almost worse than it did right after it happened.
wtf? 😕
For me, it was most visible about 4 or 5 days after the sting. I started using lavender oil, and it faded bit by bit every day.
Lawrence Wells said:Nurses in America mostly haven't earned the right to be called "nurses" anymore! They're just a bunch of greedy opportunists who act like they've won the lottery just because they swiped a box of rubber gloves from a donation bin... 😠
That’s a bit relative, isn't it? Honestly, I’ve run into way more friendly faces than rude ones. I have to admit—it actually caught me by surprise. Maybe I was just hanging out in the wrong aisles... 😁
If you're looking into scoliosis, I’d really suggest reaching out to the orthopedics department at the local community center. Dr. Smith is hands down the best specialist right now when it comes to those idiopathic juvenile cases. Just a heads-up though, surgery isn't typically an option until they hit age seven—back when I was doing some training there, I saw kids as old as 12 or 13 who were still in that waiting period. And honestly, most of them don't even end up needing surgery at all...
What’s the deal with Dr. Chucky? From what I understand, he’s working on that project over at Mayo Clinic. I’m not entirely sure about his specific area of expertise—though I have heard good things—but he’s a great guy, which honestly matters just as much...
Paprika, curry—which is loaded with turmeric, great for fighting tumors—chili, basil, oregano... okay, maybe I'm exaggerating a bit, but honestly, I don't give it a second thought 🙂
General Motors is a whole different story, though. That isn't even seasoning; it’s just pure chemistry for people who can't cook.
Man, this heat is killing me. Even though it’s not actually that hot at my job site, my work is super physical, so I’m sweating like crazy. It feels like everything is just dripping down my back and lower while I'm on my feet working about 10 hours a day. I honestly just cannot deal with the heat...
Usually, your employer covers it or just reimburses you afterward. That said, the price really depends on what kind of checkup you need—it’s not one-size-fits-all since requirements vary by job (for instance, a server's exam is totally different from what healthcare workers have to go through). I usually get mine done at the community health center in my neighborhood, which cost me $43 about a month ago. Since I don't work with food, I don't even have to deal with providing any "samples"...
What kind of friction and skin irritation are we even talking about? Who on earth was working on you? It sounds like someone who clearly hasn't a clue what they're doing in that area...
Massage shouldn't hurt. The only time you should feel any discomfort is if they're working on specific muscle knots, and even then, it's just a localized sensation that stays within a tolerable limit. Otherwise, it's supposed to be a really relaxing experience.
Honestly, just from using that lavender oil since yesterday, everything has started clearing up. There’s barely anything left now... seriously, almost nothing. Lavender really is the best 🙂
It was a pretty small one—I wouldn't say the legs were even a few inches long. The color is spot on, though. Hopefully, this passes a bit faster next time...
I actually thought about that urine trick too because man, the pain was unreal. I had just stepped off the boat and was struggling to get out of my scuba gear when—bam—this stinging sensation just hits me right in the face. It hurt so bad that half my face went numb. Honestly, though, peeing on it wasn't really an option since there were way too many people 😁 Down in Thailand, they use vinegar for jellyfish stings, and it worked wonders—the burning stopped almost instantly.
Anyway, it’s looking way better now. I got back from my trip yesterday, and since I didn't have anything else on hand, I slathered some lavender oil on it overnight. That should help with the healing process, too.
The good news is there aren't any blisters, no scabbing either... just this light redness shaped like a tentacle, maybe slightly raised from the rest of my skin. After using the lavender this morning, the redness definitely calmed down by at least 50%.
I think I'll pick up that stuff Susan Martin24 recommended, too.
Thanks, everyone! 🙂
By the way, the water is a pretty comfortable 57-63 degrees, depending on how deep you go...🙂
