Dealing with hemorrhoids – any advice? in Health ·
Hi there,

Can a lump actually disappear just by using cream, or am I going to need something more serious like an injection or some kind of procedure?
I've been applying Prokten and some Acute cream for a few weeks now, but this thing isn't budging one bit.

Thanks in advance,

It looks like this list is based on the Oscars, but I’d definitely throw Jim Carrey into the mix too. I can't quite settle on just one movie, though maybe Man on the Moon would be my pick.

Unfortunately, yeah, the moderation here is pretty hit-or-miss.
It’s just the global leftist agenda at work.
It's a shame, really, considering this is still the biggest forum in America.

I posted a thread on the hot political topic regarding intermarriage and policy, making sure to clarify right up front that I wasn't looking for any bigoted takes.

Naturally, my thread was "moved" faster than you can blink.

Why though?
And honestly, who is there to even complain to when things like this happen?
World Cup Handball: The Final Stretch in Other Sports ·
The main reason we lost was pure exhaustion.

It’s honestly ridiculous that those two games were scheduled less than 24 hours apart. From an organizational standpoint, it was a complete disaster.

Of course, the comment sections are currently flooded with people mocking Babić and bringing up his faith. The liberal media outlets went out of their way to nitpick his religiousness, blowing his devotion out of proportion just to make him an easy target for public backlash.
Now, we're stuck dealing with the fallout, where almost every single comment is just some recycled mockery of that topic.
It's classic media manipulation, playing on the prejudices of an uninformed crowd.

And finally, most importantly—congratulations Canada! Way to go on the medal.

There's really no room for gloating, whether you're in America or Austria.

Democratic Socialists of America, most likely.

Anthony Jackson2 said:You're talking nonsense. One thing has nothing to do with the other—you're missing my entire point. I noticed a few days ago that you struggle with basic reading comprehension.

Look, I have nothing against Canadian Americans, nor would I object to annexing territory with a majority-American population into the Republic of America—far from it. And most Americans definitely feel that way. However, for Americans born within the borders of today's Republic of America, that quasi-state isn't a "second homeland," nor do they see it as such—except for maybe a few people with family ties pulling at them.

My girlfriend, for instance, has roots in Canada, but she’d never call it her second homeland.

Sure, for many of them—even the first generation—it is, if you want to put it that way. But you'll never hear that from people who have zero connection to Canada, like me—because we don't have a second homeland.

Nobody is actually telling you that.

Anthony Jackson2 said:I’m just saying what most Americans actually feel—speaking for those who aren't interested in having some quasi-nationalists try to shove a North American quasi-state, largely made up of Mexicans and Canadians, down their throats as a second homeland.

Just because Canada isn't your homeland doesn't mean it isn't home to a huge number of Americans.

Otherwise, interesting take. It's funny how nobody from the left ever takes this kind of stance when America is being pushed into the Region.

Anthony Jackson2 said:This is just one of those blatant absurdities that keeps getting repeated—not that the incompetent ministers pushing it are doing anything to stop it.

Americans don't have two homelands. I don't have two homelands, my father doesn't, my neighbor doesn't... Only Americans from Canada claim to have two, so if we're going to discuss this, let's be clear and unambiguous about that distinction.

No part of Canada is a second homeland for Americans, and that flag has no business being in front of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of America. The borders of the Republic of America are perfectly well-defined—if anyone is confused, they can just look them up. Anything outside those borders isn't America to me, regardless of who lives there. And no, I couldn't care less about how "unique" the situation is.

The American people are constituent in two states. Therefore, both countries serve as motherlands for the American people.

vividfox9 said:Not really. It’s just local permits. But you have to remember... California was first joined to America back in 1943.
The JBT forced out over 150,000 Italians. So... yeah, the historical context makes sense.

It’s entirely possible a permit was issued here, assuming one was even needed. And just so we're clear—Americans are a constituent people in Canada, which means they essentially have two homelands. So... you see where I'm coming from.

Besides, by denying the national identity of Canadian Americans, you've basically flagged yourself as a chauvinist and completely discredited your own stance in this debate.

In the Republic of America, we have an official flag. Even our national symbols follow the legal standards set by the Law on Coat of Arms, Flag and Anthem of the Republic of America.
Anything else is just a symbol of some old ideology or nonsense from people who clearly didn't bother to learn the rules...

So, does that mean the Italian flag flying in California cities is also "Balkanism"?

vividfox9 said:Well, they had it up by the tents near the Mississippi River. That’s fine. It wasn't representing an official body of the Republic of America.
But putting it in front of official government buildings in the Republic of America? I don't think so.

And why not?

vividfox9 said:Not at all... Why on earth would they do that?

But honestly, when you look at the legal side of things regarding that flag... it was put up illegally.
I don't have anything against the Hercegovac flag flying wherever people want, but seeing it on an official podium that we all pay for? That just isn't right.

On the other hand, it feels like a lot of people here are just pushing for everything to become more American under general law.
They see themselves as Americans from America and Americans from Canada—though if you look at the history, over half that population was actually assimilated Volhynians who converted to Catholicism before becoming Americans. Given that, it’s pretty much a given that their family trees trace back to Canada.
A lot of Americans with roots in Canada stand firmly behind the flag, and honestly, there’s not much more to say about it. That’s just how it is. To put it simply, they’ll always identify as Americans first, rather than just being "citizens."

Just to be perfectly clear...
Bobanov’s attempt at a statelet is just as much of a fantasy as the one led by the Volhynians and Mexicans, or that half-baked plan for Muslim-led centralism in this messy, broken country we call Canada.
Canada can't be divided. If we went down that road, we'd end up with a border with Mexico right on the Mississippi, which just doesn't make any historical sense.

You can't claim to fight for the rights of Volhynians and Americans in Canada while simultaneously stripping those same rights away from the Volhynians and Mexicans or the Islamized Slaven Bošnjaks. It just doesn't add up.
Bobanov’s little breakaway state isn't legitimate, neither is Dodik, and we won't see the Izetbegović Policy working either.

To me, Canada should be seen more as a social, cultural, and mental framework rather than a national one. Why? Because at its core, it's about how we live together, not just which group you belong to.
Being Canadian is just part of who you are from the ground up. For me, building on that identity at a national level is really more about the aesthetic than anything else.
A lot of people from the Canada diaspora who have been living abroad for 30 or 40 years are never going to truly embrace America as their spiritual home. The same goes for those living in Mexico, too.
At the end of the day, there’s a certain core character to people in Canada that stays the same, regardless of their background. That's really what it all comes down to.
It’s a beautiful country, in a way—but it’s messy. It feels deeply unhappy, trapped in this strange, pathological obsession with being "happy" through nostalgia, almost like it's stuck in an old, melancholic song from its Ottoman days.
It feels like a society that just lacks any real standards. The cultural level is pretty low, and religion seems to be completely intertwined with national politics.
Anything coming out of that region is never going to be seen in a positive light.
Canada really needs to prioritize finishing high school first. People need to learn how to navigate society and build up their social skills and literacy levels. Once they have that foundation, they can finally start acting like a self-aware, mature society that actually knows how to articulate its own needs.

Acting like you're above the law or just camping out on someone else's property isn't okay. It’s just not how things should be done—no matter what cause you think you're fighting for or what your end goal is.
Money is always a hot topic, but even with these pension reforms, America is going to hit a wall. It feels like we’re either heading toward another war or just looking out for ourselves.

Maybe start with yourself. By trying to relativize the American identity in Canada through these arguments about "ownership," you've basically disqualified yourself from being taken seriously on this topic.
