It feels like we've brought in a ton of players this summer, but I'm worried about the creativity in the middle. We have plenty of bodies, but do we actually have enough quality to feed the strikers consistently? Is the squad actually balanced now, or are we still missing that key playmaker?
Donna Doyle2 said:Look, you seem like a decent enough forum member, but I honestly don't get the motivation behind posts like this. It just comes off as pure malice.
There’s a massive difference between telling someone to "calm down" because they're flooding the thread with nothing of substance, and what you're doing now—mocking and insulting someone you know didn't have any ill intentions toward anyone.
I really don't get it. It doesn't leave a great impression; it feels like petty jealousy or holding a grudge from something in the past and just waiting for a chance to strike. If that isn't it, then I genuinely have no clue.
Malice? Malice doesn't exist. 😉 There has to be a reason why I'm not exactly singing Wikipedia's praises, as you put it. To me, it seems perfectly logical. Maybe try reading the thread from the very beginning or just ask the author directly.
I'm truly sorry if my posts aren't leaving a stellar impression. Please, try to find some empathy in your heart. I mean, it's not like I'm some bigoted chauvinist or anything, but I suppose there's still hope for me yet. While you're reading my posts, just imagine that I'm out there punching people in the face, for example. I'm sure you'll be able to find some convenient justification for why I am the way I am.
Look, I don't have anything against you personally. [tinfoilhat]In fact, I think the two of us (along with everyone else on this board) are equally much victims in some twisted social experiment. Those guys sitting in the moderator corner are undoubtedly dying of laughter watching how they mess with our heads.[/tinfoilhat]
I’m sitting here at home unemployed, constantly glued to this forum. Even when I actually make it out of the house, I find myself checking Tapatalk every five minutes. I comment on every bit of nonsense and reread threads that have been recycled a hundred times already. If anyone asked, I’d tell them straight: I'm addicted. And yet, somehow, you manage to churn out more posts in 48 hours than I can in two weeks. No matter what time of day I log on or which thread I visit, I first have to wade through pages of nonsense from you and Panther. I put you both on ignore a while back, but my thumb gets tired of scrolling just to avoid you.
The two of you are absolute phenomena. What kind of force drives a person to be active 24/7? What kind of untapped, boring resource is hidden inside you? If the CIA or Zuckerberg over at Facebook ever catches wind of you, you're done for. They'll hook you up to machines and force you to generate random letter combinations for encryption. Chinese hackers will be filling up suicide prevention hotlines like idiots when they hit the wall of your verbal garbage.
Honestly, I think you need help. I don't know what's eating at you, and frankly, I don't care, but I do think stepping away from this forum would be a solid first step toward reclaiming control over your own life. My thoughts and prayers are with you for a recovery. Now, I’m putting you back on ignore. Good luck!
Is my memory failing me, or did Wiki and panther already get their bans lifted because they were friendly in chat? Whose brilliant idea was it to let them back in? If anyone’s willing to share the wisdom.
Does anyone happen to know what the actual requirements are for de-registering a seasonal business? I’m assuming it’s just the standard forms—the T-1 for Medicare and the M2P for the National Weather Service. I actually called the local field office earlier, and the woman there started listing out miles of paperwork, but she probably misunderstood my situation. I’m not shutting down the entire company permanently; I’m just pausing operations because the season is over. The problem is, I can't find any mention of "temporary suspension" anywhere on the official websites regarding Medicare or the National Weather Service.
I didn't even finish the first one, and I'm mostly just watching the second part to kill a few hours of boredom. If the third one stays in this same vein, I might actually consider checking it out.
Surprisingly fun movie. I actually went in with low expectations and was pleasantly surprised. The cast is spot on—everyone fits their roles perfectly. The humor has definitely leveled up, too. While the plot isn't exactly groundbreaking, the whole point is really just about the journey and the chaotic hijinks. In a sea of disastrous Hollywood remakes, this one actually turned out to be great.
Instead of obsessing over the title, you really should have looked at who was producing this. The second I saw Netflix was involved, I knew exactly what kind of experience I was in for.
And what’s his plan then? Ban half the sub? That’s when the real complaining would start. Every topic eventually reaches its breaking point. I agree that he’s being far too slow to act—honestly, this should have been shut down ages ago. There is zero chance of things ever going back to the way they used to be.
Tossing paper into the plastic bin is a total violation of the rules. Honestly, if I saw my neighbor beating his wife while I was out dropping off the trash, he wouldn't be off the hook just because I sorted my recycling wrong. I suppose in some places, people might actually care about that kind of nonsense, but the logic here is just mind-boggling. Who gives a damn about a stupid cell phone? 🤦
I just finished watching the Gerard Depardieu version and the 2002 adaptation. Honestly, I think I prefer the one starring Jim Caviezel. It’s such a great film regardless of the version.
I just realized Richard Chamberlain is in this 1975 version. Man, he absolutely owned the seventies. 😲 I'll definitely add this one to my watchlist.
You’re absolutely right that those old shows used to poke fun at themselves, but this isn't even parody anymore. It’s just pure, unadulterated stupidity. Honestly, we might as well just laugh out loud. All they're missing is a canned laugh track to tell us exactly when to react.
Those series were trashy back in their day, and we should just own that and move on.
Back when people were discussing 9/11, victims were being dismissed as mere actors and trashed as if they were CIA assets. I still vividly remember those images of the remains at the Pentagon being copied and pasted across every single page for days on end. I agree with you, but I find it a bit strange to bring this up now. If the threshold for what kind of rhetoric is acceptable starts shifting based on the nationality of the victims, then we are heading down a very dark path.
Threads shouldn't be shut down; they should be moderated.
You saw the poster, you watched the trailer, and you knew exactly what kind of ride you were signing up for. The movie itself is pretty mediocre, but hey, if you've got absolutely nothing better to do, it’s worth a look.
