I’ve been watching this show, but honestly, I’m still not buying Feriha's "regret"!
She did tear up a little when she ran into Reese and Mehmet at the entrance, sure—but that’s about it!
To me, she hasn't actually shown any real remorse for all the chaos her lies caused Emir and everyone else involved!
"Please forgive me! I was wrong! I made mistakes I wasn't even aware of, and maybe I hurt you all..." blah, blah, blah.
That whole performance just didn't touch my heart one bit. I mean, what's the issue here?!
I just don't trust her—not her actions, and certainly not her words!
My dear "virtual girlfriends," all you lovely people who agree with me—and even those who don't!!! Is this really what democracy looks like?!
Honestly, what if we all just took a breather? If we didn't spend our energy trying to correct every little thing, we could go on for hundreds, maybe even thousands of pages arguing over who’s right and who’s wrong... and where would that even get us?🤷…
I truly don't see why anyone has an issue with us not liking the same characters. 😕
I've checked the forum rules, and I don't see anything stating that "we all have to love everything" or that there needs to be one single, unified opinion dominating this space..
When there's a lack of "forum coexistence," tolerance, or just accepting the people around you, everyone starts pointing fingers and accusing one another of being wrong... oh, please! Give me a break!
Personally, you should never try to tell me I'm wrong just because I don't think like you!!!
I've said this before, and I'll say it again: if I don't like a certain character in a series or a movie, you can all write your heart out on this forum about how wonderful they are, but it won't work on me... for me, a character either "clicks" or they don't. It's that simple!!!...
Take Feriha, for example—she just gets under my skin. 😂 I can't stand that muddled, dull way she carries herself as a woman..🙂..
She isn't "my type" at all... that kind of personality just grates on me...
She certainly isn't my idea of a "heroine" who inspires admiration; instead, every time she appears on screen, she just irritates or disappoints me (or both!)...
Sometimes Feriha feels like a total nightmare to me. There's no emotional depth there, nor does she know how to provide it; when she tries, it just feels hollow and lifeless...
I actually try, from a human perspective, to understand her, but looking at it from another angle, she’s just a plain, colorless, boring bore... and what am I supposed to do now😕?!
Am I supposed to get into some marathon argument—writing, rewriting, trying to convince or prove myself—just because Feriha annoys me?! ...As if someone needs to prove to me that she *doesn't* annoy me, or that I'm not right! How strange is that!!
Now, I love Emir, and I love Levent. Honestly, I don't know which one I love more—I adore them both!!
I love Lara, and I love Lara's mother... they are wonderful, and both of them are just lovely to me... I absolutely adore them!!! I really wish Emir were with Lara!
I respect Nevbahar, and I understand Reese, though I don't excuse his actions in certain situations..
I partially understand Feriha too, simply because she was so terribly (un)raised—so vague and indecisive..
I actually think she had the potential to have had a healthy mother who would have raised her in a sane, normal way..
So, what, are all these people who disagree supposed to be "swept away" from the forum just because they don't worship the character and work of "Emir" or because they criticize Feriha?! 😕 ...
To me, Feriha is aggressive and wild... she showed that in several different situations....
The way she slapped Emir, and did it multiple times—I held that against her so deeply...
But I also held Emir against him for that one time he slapped Feriha..
I don't agree with Feriha slapping Emir, but I don't agree with Emir being slapped by Feriha either..
I don't like or excuse violence, regardless of who is doing it or to whom...
I don't justify a single instance of violence, no matter who it is, male or female!!!!
I didn't see any major debate happening here when Feriha was slapping Emir several times! Was that just considered normal and acceptable, apparently?!
She even tried to slap him a couple more times, but Emir stopped her!
Feriha essentially emotionally and manfully castrated Emir, yet he treats her like a princess, giving up everything for her...
What a shame! ... She doesn't deserve it!
The socio-cultural differences are just so glaring and incompatible! Feriha is completely exposed in all her character flaws, wrapped in the cloak of emotional manipulation!
The whole reason I’m listing all this out is just to show you that everyone participating in this thread doesn't necessarily have to experience the same story or feel the same way about the characters...
I mean, why does such a heated debate break out the second we aren't all in the "same camp"?..
What do I care if someone else loves Feriha?! It doesn't bother me one bit!!
And honestly, the idea that there's "us" who write a lot and "them" who write less is pretty ridiculous, if you ask me...
I'd love to see a definition of "us" versus "them" just so I could actually understand what you all mean...
But now, since people can't stand anyone with a different opinion and suddenly want to kick them all out, they've started attacking the moderator Adam...
They're going to attack and blame Adam and then go looking for a savior in some third moderator...
As if in a few days we won't be attacking that third or fourth person too...
Both Adam and Štikalica (whom I can't say I miss, honestly) have "called me out" personally a few times, but so what? It doesn't matter—I never complained or criticized them... They're totally fine! And I certainly deserved it 🙂!
Personally, I really admire Adam's patience; it takes a lot to find that balance and stay fair...
And when Adam "called me out," he was being fair...
I actually love it when moderators watch the show and participate, because then they actually know what's going on here, and I'm happy to let them be critical...
That's what Bea and Adam do, and that's what Štrik used to do... What bothers me are the mods who "storm" into a thread like Hurricane Katrina just because someone hit the "report" button, handing out warnings and bans without even following the "whole story on the forum"...
Dear Adam, you have my full support. Believe me, if I were earning a doctor's salary in Switzerland, I don't know if I'd be putting up with all this...
Adam, you can't fix every single difficult person, and you certainly can't please everyone!!
Don't worry about it; what matters is that your intentions are good, and you've clearly shown that they are!
I'm on your side!!!
Wishing you lots of luck with running the forum!
Every moderator I've reached out to has always responded to me in a polite and respectful way...
That's just my take. If you agree, great! If you don't, you don't need to explain yourself to me!!!
To me, the important thing is that people don't get insulted and behave nicely, rather than acting like offended children—sometimes I just don't feel like reading that kind of "material"...
The thread is turning into a back-and-forth of finger-pointing and accusations! I think it would be smartest for all of us if we just left everything that happened in the past, closed the door on it, and focused on writing and commenting while learning to accept our differences! Let's just be mindful of one another and stop being party poopers... let's be civil and professional...
I think people overthink what they're going to write. Me? I just relax, let my heart guide my fingers to type what I'm feeling, and click "quick reply"...
I don't "stress" too much over my own little typos or mistakes, and goodness knows I won't fuss over yours either...
Nathan Turner3 said:The topic will be live tomorrow morning.
Until then, please hold off on any spoilers or deep dives into the series and characters. This isn't the place for that, and you don't want to get banned by the FBI for breaking the rules here.😉
This person deserves a medal for keeping things under control without even saying a word!
Thanks!
I decided to cast my vote to open this thread because I don't think we need such a "drastic cut," though, to be fair, I totally get why the mods reacted the way they did….
This forum is supposed to be our little corner of the internet where we can hang out and share our thoughts on the show, the plot, or the characters without looking over our shoulders…
Honestly, I don't see the point in constantly feeling the need to argue with people who just don't see things our way. I feel like we first need to learn how to actually accept the people around us—and by that, I mean learning to listen (or in this case, read!)—because at the end of the day, we’re all just writing about fictional characters and made-up stories through our own unique lenses. It's all about how we personally experience them. After all, our perspectives are shaped by a million different factors and our own personal beliefs...
It’s always so fascinating to me how some people have this deep-seated compulsion to convince everyone else that they're wrong..
Look, if I love a certain character, the entire forum could disagree, and I’m still going to love them. If I can't stand a character, even if everyone else thinks they're amazing, well, I'm still not a fan... I really don't see any reason why we all have to have identical tastes or write the exact same thing..
This isn't our "private" living room, and I honestly have no idea where people get the nerve to try and "claim territory" or attack anyone with a different opinion, even in a virtual space. Sometimes you seriously need nerves of steel just to stay on a forum when dealing with short-tempered users and their constant attacks. But more importantly, we need to bring a sense of basic decency and the ability to accept others—flaws, virtues, and everything else we bring into this "digital world"... if we can't manage that, it would be such a shame to see the whole community blow up because of it…
Trying to force your views on everyone else and acting like you've "conquered" the space just isn't right..
So, after all that, let's just embrace the idea of coexisting online with people who are different from us. We aren't some group of psychic twins who are destined to agree on every single post. Let's stop pointing fingers and searching for someone to blame...
Let's all start by taking a good, hard look in the mirror instead!!!
In the end, we really should thank the moderators for having such incredible patience and staying calm during these "crisis moments."

After that whole mess with Google indexing the images incorrectly, the entire site had to undergo a massive cleanup and a deep dive. We actually ended up building a custom script to handle most of the heavy lifting, which has been a huge lifesaver for the mod team. Because of all that, we had to take IMG off the entire site temporarily, but we're slowly rolling it back out to the specific sub-forums where it belongs.
As long as we’re still running this script to scrub the site, you might run into these little hiccups or periods of downtime. Our tech guys are grinding away every single day to smooth everything out.
@northernpilot2/">@@northernpilot2 thanks for the update!
I was honestly starting to panic—I thought maybe my Wi-Fi was acting up, or my laptop was dying, or I’d picked up some nasty virus... I mean, I was spiraling through every possible worst-case scenario!
I’m not entirely sure if this is the right place to vent, but I figured I’d throw a quick question out there to see if anyone else is feeling the same way,
is it just me, or is anyone else having a nightmare trying to use Reddit lately? Honestly, it’s been driving me up the wall all week. Every time I try to load a page, the whole thing just flickers or glitches out, and then—bam—another error message pops up on my screen...
Error 101 (net:😈RR_CONNECTION_RESET): Connection has been reset.
All I know is that I can go ages without being able to get in at all, and then suddenly, everything works perfectly fine for a moment, only to be hit by this specific error again...
At first, I was really debating whether I should even bother posting or just stay quiet, but after sitting with it for a while, I decided I’d better say a few words and share my thoughts... I honestly didn't intend to chime in because this whole thing doesn't really fit "my vision of how an online community should work."
First off, the reason I'm here is simply because I love the "virtual world" and the social aspect of it... You know, all of us use screen names, but behind every single handle is a living, breathing person with real emotions. Just because I'm using a pseudonym doesn't mean I have the right to be rude, uncivilized, or just plain unpleasant...
I'm not here to lecture anyone, play the expert, or act like I'm smarter than the rest of you. I'm here primarily because I find it enjoyable... and if it stops being fun, I'll just quietly step away. No one needs to force my hand.
Believe me, if I were actually acting out or being disrespectful, I would be absolutely mortified. I’d be turning bright red from the embarrassment because, well, you all know who I am, and I'd be too ashamed of my own behavior to show my face.
When I write, I always write based on my own interpretation of the "imaginary or real story" and its characters... Naturally, in my posts, certain viewpoints might overlap with others. Personally, I have zero issue with people thinking differently, and I feel no need to comment on their views or try to convince them of anything. Why on earth should it bother me if someone sees things differently? God forbid!
Well, this isn't some echo chamber where we all have to think and write exactly the same way... Regarding the Force thread, there were a couple of ladies there whose perspectives I didn't agree with at all on a completely different topic... but that chapter is closed now, and as far as this specific thread goes, everything is perfectly fine—a solid 5+. I don't see what the big deal is...
For instance, I didn't like Ethan from the very beginning, and even though the series finished, I never really warmed up to him. It's not that I hate anyone—especially not fictional characters, since they aren't real—but I certainly don't have to like every character created. I didn't like Ethan, and the Force keeps pushing me, which really gets on my nerves. There were moments when Shah and Ace got under my skin too, but then again, I absolutely adore Beatrice, Yasmin Fatma, Sultan, Jamila, and now Narin. So, I truly don't understand why anyone else would make a problem out of that...
A few years back, when these shows were first starting to blow up, I used to post on the Ezel thread and I ended up getting reported and banned by Jay quite a few times. But I truly believe he understands that I'm not a confrontational person; I just have my own opinions, and I'm not trying to force them on anyone... though, I would appreciate it if people didn't try to force *their* opinions on me, either.
Just let me come to my own conclusions. Back then, I was mostly just sad because I couldn't participate or post on the forum, and it didn't even occur to me to go looking for an argument... I just let time take its course and told myself, "Hey, time will tell what kind of person everyone really is."
When I write, I write from the heart, expressing how I truly experience things, not to please anyone or to provoke a reaction... I share my genuine emotions, not some manufactured persona.
I don't see any reason why it should upset someone just because I perceive the story or the characters differently than they do. It's like how I love fish, meat, and wine, but I've never touched a cigarette in my life... yet I don't judge the smokers. We are all humans, and we are all different, so why can't we just accept that diversity? If I don't find a certain character appealing, I don't see why that's cause for anger, and if I find someone incredibly charming, I don't see why that should offend anyone... For the record, I am definitely one of those people who became very "enthusiastic about Boran's physique."
So, I'll just admit it publicly: I find that man's torso quite distracting, and I find Boran to be incredibly handsome and irresistible...
There are certain characters, actors, or even real people where my threshold for tolerance is a bit different; I tend to view them through a magnifying glass. And again, why is it an issue for anyone else that I experience things this way? In a different show, I might find another character totally unlikable, and I might hold them against me much sooner and much more intensely than I ever did with Boran...
At the end of the day, this forum is just a lovely, pleasant place to hang out, and for me, the series itself isn't even the main draw—it's not even that intense for me. I much prefer the chatting and socializing on the boards... I'd much rather watch the show and talk about it. Sometimes, when people are posting in a thread while watching, a little off-topic chatter happens, but nobody does it on purpose... it just happens because we get swept up in the excitement of watching and discussing together.
I honestly don't see any reason or anyone's need to act as someone else's defense attorney. I’d actually love to be a lawyer for Meh, but since I'm an economist, I guess my role is just "managing his money." And then people take every single word out of context, twisting things and fighting battles over men's or women's rights... it just doesn't even cross my mind...
Why do people feel this intense urge to "volunteer" as legal counsel for fictional characters? Why put words in someone's mouth that were never even said? It's strange how much some people love performing other people's opinions and reconstructing them to fit their own narrative..
Everyone, please, just chill out a little bit. This is just a "forum"... and honestly, through our writing and how we behave, we're telling the world exactly who we are anyway. Let's just let everyone present themselves that way... there really isn't a need to go around judging one another...
I have never once complained about anyone, whether it's the other members or the Moderators... and I NEVER WILL!!!!
I've met such wonderful people on this forum whom I actually hang out with in real life, and I'm so grateful to this site for letting me "meet" and get to know them... who knows when we would have crossed paths if it weren't for this community....
To all my dear virtual and real-life friends, thank you for being you!
And to the Moderators, I wouldn't want to be in your shoes. I know it's not easy at all, believe me, I truly understand!
Timothy Campbell2 said:Thank God... anyway, can someone tell me why Zoran Milanović was acting so sour?
I mean, I’ve been sitting here wondering the whole time—what’s with that lazy, indifferent look on his face? It almost felt like he was "offended" that they were actually getting their freedom back...
Ante Gotovina just reached out to him, offered a hand, and that was basically it; he's alienated everyone else now..
If you ask me, I think Milanović is somehow "scared." You know, generals—especially Ante—always held such massive sway over the American people, and Milanović just isn't on the same page as him...
Ante proved himself as a true soldier, through the combat, through the trials, and even through his release...
The man carried everything with such dignity, it honestly blew me away..
Most other convicts just crumble, mentally and physically, but this man didn't buckle once. Even when the verdict was being read, he took it with grace, and then again this morning when they read the acquittal—he handled it all with such poise...
That man is just incredible...
Ivo Josipović really stepped up and acted like a true President and a gentleman..
And Milanović? He sort of mumbled something, but honestly, he would have said much more if he had just spoken less...
In moments like this, there's no room for philosophizing or empty chatter—that kind of talking where you say plenty without actually saying anything at all...
I’m actually a bit annoyed with everyone who didn't show up on TV this morning when they were called; apparently, they either didn't want to or couldn't bear to until they saw how things would turn out...
Vesna Škare was really the only one brave enough to show up in the studio before the acquittal was even read...
At the end of the day, none of that matters anymore; what matters is that Generals Branimir Glavaš and Ante Gotovina are free!!
What matters is that justice won. What matters is that the stain is gone, and that future generations will actually learn the real history in school... until now, they didn't even know what to put in the textbooks...
Quote: Sam Wright21 said:Milanović just can't get over the shock that his beloved buddy is going to prison. He's been cranky and sour for days.
You're right, he's been sour for days... though let's be honest, he's never exactly been a cheerful guy!
And someone needs to tell that guy of his to just get lost already... we've had enough of him!
