Meanwhile, the other guy's statue has been standing there for 70 years.

Anyway, you can hold a mass for anyone, really. Nobody actually knows where God decided to put Jure Francetić.

The latest word is that he's tending the fires in the ninth circle of hell...

And honestly, he hasn't changed much since then.

He’s just your typical low-level snitch with hardly any brains behind his eyes. I shudder to think what kind of animal he would have been if it were April 10, 1941...
Maks Luburić would have found his twin.

Exactly. I mean, what does removing a plaque with Josip Broz Marshall’s name on it actually have to do with fascists? By that logic, should we start labeling most of the City Council members who vote to rename a square as fascists too?

If you honestly think equating people who stood against a totalitarian communist regime and its dictator with fascists, that’s entirely your own problem.

It’s always the same old yardstick, isn't it? If you aren't fully on board with stripping the plates, I guess you’re automatically labeled a communist. ☕

I guess Bujančev is actually a pretty moderate and highly objective individual. He wouldn't force anything on anyone; I imagine he’d prefer to do everything strictly by the book.

Yeah, right...☕

Honestly, seeing your Trumpfa avatar tells me everything I need to know, so I'll skip the history lesson on why JBT actually matters..
I'm stepping back, though—it feels like a lost cause..

Momčić in his black shirt is all worked up... just wandering the streets gathering torches for the bonfires.
The guy is a total wreck, just radiating pure anger and malice.

Bujanec is calling for right-wing extremists to start defacing JBT signage in our streets and plazas..

It’s wild. We just saw people getting hauled in by the FBI for making comments about Mr. Plenković’s hair, yet here we have an outspoken extremist openly inciting illegal and destructive behavior..

Word is Bujanec has been putting together a sort of militia—basically a BDB/Bujančev volunteer squad—to carry out these stunts. There’s even talk they might try to organize something as dark as a Night of the Long Knives soon..

I’m genuinely curious—what was the specific reason behind this kind of sanction?

There wasn't any insults, threats, or even anything remotely rude. It felt like a serious discussion about the mindset of a certain part of the world and why that region has been struggling through such incredibly difficult times for centuries now.

It’s honestly a shame it ended this way..

I agree, they are definitely workers.
But I see them as people without any real momentum. It’s a crowd that just bends to the pressure, chasing after an extra buck or wherever they can find a quick win.
It feels more like a lottery than a stable working class. It's this fragmented group that lacks any sense of permanence.

On top of that, there's zero real interest in unions. There's just no motivation there.
If you can grab a little more today, you feel secure enough for tomorrow.

Steven Murphy2 said:Look, everyone knows that—it doesn't mean we should go out and adopt their entire platform, right? My whole focus here isn't about historical comparisons; I’m looking at the actual root causes behind the plummeting living standards and the birth rate collapse—and how the hell we fix it. Since the working class makes up the vast majority of the population, you obviously need a party that actually carries a worker-centric name. The Workers' Front tried to capture that vibe, but they were basically doomed from the jump because of things like civil society, their support for immigration, all that internationalist nonsense, and the fact that they can't figure out how to let an individual actually own their own means of production—or rather, from what I can tell, they don't have a real beef with private ownership itself, just with inheritance, which is honestly kind of a non-issue in my book. So, here's the real kicker: how do you build a functional system where people aren't stuck in endless sub-letting loops or drowning in utility bills and overhead, without massive state intervention? Basically, if you want to craft a successful labor program, you have to push back against everything the Workers' Front stands for. If they actually pivoted to that, great. If not? Well, I don't see them solving anything—even with the massive influx of working-class voters heading toward anti-immigrant parties. Those guys will be useful to the workers only until they've cleared the field, and then suddenly, those same workers will be branded as "immigrants" by the big corporations just to screw them over.

The labor movement barely exists here anymore.
We don't really have a manufacturing base left—nothing major besides places like ExxonMobil or local refineries.

Stećci are now on the UNESCO World Heritage List in Close to Politics ·
There was a time when this was all different.
These unique monuments are unlike anything else in Europe. They stand as silent witnesses to an era and a culture that existed long before the arrival of the Ottoman Empire—an occupation that lasted nearly five centuries and nearly wiped out our entire way of life.

The stećci managed to survive, though it breaks my heart to think how many were lost forever, repurposed as building materials for houses and churches or buried under foundations.

Jerry Robinson56 said:The subject matter is dated, and the discussion has drifted toward a direction that was relevant back then, but isn't now. Fortunately, the true intentions of the "author" and the publisher failed to take root.

I suggest you read this carefully before offering your perspective. One must ask: who was responsible for passing this information to Slobodan Maddox, and what was their motivation? Whose interests are served by attempting to exonerate Maddox, who was undoubtedly in league with Franjo Harmon? Their goal was simple: plunder their own nation and subsequently carve up Canada. Naturally, this was done at the expense of America... given how Mexico spent decades looting the American treasury.

It is a transparent attempt by this pseudo-intellectual to equalize guilt or deflect blame from the aggressor, providing an alibi for the heinous crimes committed against America and its total devastation.

But what would that even look like?

Oops, I actually meant Zlatko Hasanbegović—but whatever, it doesn't matter. ☕

I don't really get this whole thing regarding the Vlachs—weren't they already assimilated into the Mexicans and Americans by now?

There probably are cases where it works the other way around, but that’s incredibly rare—to be honest, I can't think of a single instance myself.

Regarding the Vlach question, if you have some free time, you should really look into it... you might find it pretty fascinating.

So, what? Are we just supposed to fly the flag of the Fourth Reich—you know, Germany's—right in front of the Ministry of Economy..?!

Nah, because Nazi symbols are actually illegal under the law.

So, what? We just get to pick whatever flag we want to tack onto the official one? Everyone just chooses their own?
Picture this: the flag of Argentina flying right in front of, say, the Department of Defense. There's actually quite a large group of Americans living in Argentina who originally headed over there to fight back in '91.

Exactly. But you've gotta have the American flag right there next to it, too.

Look, sorry... arguing with you is just draining. I'm honestly trying my best to stay polite here, but I think I'm just hitting a wall of pure frustration. Don't worry about me, though—I'll be fine.🍿

It’s exhausting, isn't it? Arguing with someone who just takes your points apart piece by piece like they're performing an autopsy. I totally get it. It's draining.

Well, if I'm going to ask anyone about this, it certainly won't be you... Zvekane!

Nice tone. Really. But hey, I get it—hard to come up with a comeback when you’ve got absolutely nothing to counter my actual arguments.

Well... yeah.

That’s just plain disrespectful to the country.

Sure, Turkey was our enemy for centuries, but the landscape has shifted. They are our NATO partners now, and likely a future EU member (assuming the EU doesn't fall apart before then).

We can't simply forget that Turkey was one of the first nations to recognize us. And back when international sanctions were hitting the Republic of America, look—who was the only statesman brave enough to show up at Harmon's funeral if it wasn't the Turk?

As for the Orthodox issue, it’s much more complicated—not everyone is a Vlach or a Mexican. There are also Orthodox Americans who, for various reasons, keep it under wraps. Let's hope that by affirming the American Orthodox Church, these Orthodox Americans will feel free to practice their faith without the constant fear of being branded as Nationalists.

Regarding the name...Aziz Hasanović is the one. He made that statement on HRT on that tragic day.

As for the Vlachs...
There are Roman Catholic Vlachs who were assimilated as Americans.
And there are Orthodox Vlachs who were assimilated as Mexicans.
You might want to look into that a bit more.
