I’m still stuck on allergy meds, plus I’m cycling through different antibiotics because my doctor says they need to fix some kind of chemical imbalance in my blood I actually had to go to the ER two days in a row to get hooked up to an IV for some meds, But here's what's bothering me: today is day five since I went back to work, and I am just completely wiped out. I don't feel like myself at all Maybe it's the allergy pills—today is actually my last dose—but I'd really love to find a way to help my body recover naturally. Has anyone else dealt with this? There’s always some trick people swear by that actually works, right? Like honey or something, though I know certain things can be a bad idea if you're dealing with allergies, So, I'm just throwing it out there,
So, I had a tooth pulled and things went south fast. The dentist put me on Clindamycin, but about 12 hours later, I ended up in the ER. I was completely swollen, bright red, running a fever, and could barely breathe. Honestly, I looked like a budget version of the Hulk—just totally disfigured and puffy. The doctors there took care of me and got me what I needed, but this whole ordeal has been dragging on for three days now. I’m feeling a bit better, but here’s my question: how long does it actually take for all this stuff to clear out of my system? I'm still flushed, and my skin is a mess—it's peeling everywhere, my lips are super dry, and any time I move too much, my body starts itching and the redness flares up... plus, I am just exhausted. I've been chugging water like it's my job, but I can only drink so much before I feel like I'm going to burst. I really want to know how to get back to normal and flush all this junk out of my body without relying on more pills, please.
First off, a quick heads-up to the mod: I searched the forums for anything similar before posting, just so I don't end up with another warning.
So, about ten days ago, I was at the ER and they gave me an injection to deal with some intense pain (gallbladder attack). Everything seemed fine until yesterday when the pain started back up. Last night, every single time I moved or put weight on the side where I got the shot, the pain jolted me awake. I went to see my doctor today, and he’s basically telling me nothing is damaged and it'll pass. But honestly, I'm spiraling a bit because my mom had a nightmare scenario a few years back—they hit a nerve during an injection, and she still deals with leg issues to this day. I’m praying it won’t be that bad for me, but whenever I lean on that side, it isn't constant; it's more like hitting a specific "sweet spot" of pain. When I move, a sharp sensation shoots out from the injection site and travels about 15 or 20 cm down my leg. Does anyone know how I can manage this on my own?
Honestly, I don't even know what I'm talking about here I’m definitely not an expert on all this stuff; I'm just repeating what the guy told me when I was buying it Basically, they had a ton of different flavors—kiwi, strawberry, banana—and I asked if there was anything plain because I figured I’d get bored of one flavor and would rather just blend my own fruit into it. The guy straight up told me I couldn't, claiming it would turn acidic and ruin the whole thing That's all I'm saying, though whether there's actually any logic to it, who knows 🙄 And yeah, look at me adding Nesquik to it too... total idiot move, clearly Anyway, I've got another question, so feel free to laugh all you want Can I use the caffeine-free version just for the taste, Thanks for putting up with me
slytrucker47 said:Wait, where are the carbs in that shake?
I think he was just saying that so things wouldn't go south, but then on the flip side, he's telling me some people actually bake cookies with it... like, what's the point of that?
Seriously, am I really going to take all this crap just because of one little teaspoon of Nesquik... You guys have made this way more complicated than it needs to be. Does it actually cause damage, or is it no big deal? I just mix one scoop of isolate protein with water and a teaspoon of Nesquik—which, honestly, tastes pretty gross—but that guy who posted earlier said you definitely shouldn't be adding any juices or fruit to it. 🤷
So, I’ve been crushing these protein shakes for about 3 or 4 weeks now. Obviously, the scale hasn't budged an ounce, but looking at my clothes, things are definitely fitting differently 😉—I’ve even had people asking if I lost weight. 😍 I guess the actual pounds will catch up eventually. Does it make a difference if I stir in a spoonful of Nesquik? Honestly, that's the only way I can actually stomach this stuff.
So, yeah, I finally got it today but honestly, last night I thought my legs were actually going to give out on me. Even just getting up to hit the bathroom was a total struggle. I don't even have visible varicose veins or anything—at least that's what the doctor says. My feet are still throbbing a little bit today, but all in all, the worst is over and I should be fine by next month... ...any thoughts? Suggestions? Anything?
I know there are tons of threads on PMS here, but nobody ever talks about leg pain. For three days now, my legs have been absolutely killing me, and I know what's coming. I’ve tried eating heaps of fruit and cutting out salt, but honestly, I’m at a loss. Normally, I’m on my feet for 8 or 9 hours at work, then walk another hour on top of that, and I can usually handle it—but this? This is a different beast entirely. It feels like my legs are filled with lead from the knees down; they aren't even swollen or anything, they just ache intensely. When I get home, I take a bath and try elevating them, but nothing works. Usually, by the second day, things settle down. But today, I've got a migraine too, so yeah, the "main event" is definitely tomorrow. I don't even bother tracking dates anymore because my body gives me all the warning signs I need.
Who can you even trust anymore? Honestly, I lose interest after about 30 minutes. I usually just have the TV on in the background, but those commercial breaks are absolutely soul-crushing. I can barely make it through them without dying of boredom.
Is there actually any difference if I hit the bike for 20 minutes in the morning and then another 20 tonight versus just knocking out a solid 40-minute session all at once?
[...I'm telling you, give the Zone (www.drsears.com) a shot.] [/B]
Well, that's exactly what I'm getting ready to do. My mom actually sent me an American cookbook via the Zone recently, but does this stuff actually work? I mean, are you speaking from actual experience here? I feel like I've read every single book out there—from whatever Suzanne Somers wrote to *Fit for Life*—if there’s a diet book out there, I’ve probably skimmed it, and honestly, it all just starts clashing in my head But the thing is, there aren't any magic shortcuts; you basically just have to cut the sweets out and call it a day. I tried it this summer and dropped 15 pounds, so now I'm diving back in.

I guess it really depends on where you live and what you're actually looking for. When I was shopping around, prices ranged from maybe $130 up to well over $1,000. Honestly, there are enough bikes out there to give you a headache, but I don't need all that fancy stuff. I actually snagged mine at 50% off because it was just an older model from two years ago that the company stopped carrying. Plus, you've got to decide if you want the recumbent ones or the upright versions. I went with upright because they’re supposedly better for cardio—fingers crossed, anyway. The high-end stuff is mostly geared toward those hardcore gym rats. At the end of the day, it’s whatever you want. If this thing lasts me a couple of years, great. By then, I’ll probably know if I actually like this type of workout, and if I do, maybe I won't mind dropping more cash on a newer one later.
The whole "starving yourself" thing just doesn't work for me. If I don't eat regularly, I end up face-planting into whatever junk is within arm's reach. My strategy is sticking to small, actual meals rather than going on a hunger strike. And yeah, I'm usually eating after 6 PM. Every other week, I’m working until 10 at night, and honestly, I should probably head straight to bed to avoid snacking, but I just can't do it. I try to grab some fruit or maybe some steamed veggies around 10:30, then hit the sack around midnight. But look, I have to eat. The one thing I'm struggling with—and I'm slowly cutting back—is the sweets. As for bread, I pretty much only have a slice of rye toast in the morning and that's it. But man, chocolate? That's my absolute Achilles' heel.
Hey, does anyone actually know what kind of speed I should be aiming for? I saw this thing on a website saying you should ride for about 10 minutes at a time, alternating between 20 seconds of going absolutely full tilt and then 20 seconds of just cruising normally. Honestly, my bike is the easiest thing right now because by the time I get home from work—exhausted as hell since I’m basically running and standing all day—at least on a bike, my butt isn't taking the brunt of it, I usually cover about 2.2 miles in 15 minutes. Is that enough of a pace, or should I be pushing harder, or... Sorry if I'm being a pain and bugging everyone.
Guys, I am totally ready to get my life together, I just can't seem to actually start. I’m just spinning my wheels here and getting nowhere. So, I've got some light gear—maybe 10-15 different things like Pilates equipment, an exercise ball, some weights, aerobic stuff... And now I finally have this new stationary bike. Right now, I'm doing a little bit of everything—cycling for maybe 10-15 minutes, then hitting some crunches for about 15 minutes, followed by some arm and leg exercises, and then finishing up with another 10 minutes on the bike. Does anyone know if this is actually worth anything? Like, can I actually burn fat with this thing? How long should I be riding it? I mean, I could just set it up right in front of the TV and just go, but I need to know if I'll actually see any results. Alright, you experts, let me hear what you know about all this.
You’re probably allergic to something in there, or maybe it’s just way too harsh for your sensitive skin 😎 Don't sweat it though, I get those painful little bumps under my skin from some kind of It’s all just chemicals at the end of the day Just find a milder brand that actually works for you, toss that one in the trash, and give those aisles a wide berth next time
Whenever I’m waiting for that post-workout muscle soreness to kick in, I’ll hop in the shower, lather up really well, and just let the soap sit there and dry on my skin. Honestly, I think it actually works. My physical therapist was the one who gave me the tip.
