JPMorgan Chase: What are your experiences? in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·
Betty Jones29 said:Greetings. I was wondering if anyone here has actually pulled the trigger on a Cashback loan? I’m curious to hear what your general experience has been like dealing with them as a customer. Right now, I’m torn between Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan Chase for a personal loan, so I’d really appreciate some real-world feedback. My plan is to transfer my income directly to the bank; I assume I can just set up an automatic transfer so I don't have to deal with the headache of manual payments every month.

Your credit score is really the most important factor here. I suspect Goldman Sachs might be a bit more flexible with their requirements, but honestly, if your credit is solid, you can pretty much go wherever you want.

Well, I just got hit with a 300% credit limit increase myself. They sent over some Maestro cards to go with it.
Overdrafts and negative balances: What's allowed? in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·
The government is clearly hunting for ways to trim down the national debt, so naturally, they've started looking at all the budget deficits. I suspect this is part of their push to stabilize the dollar before we fully transition... though maybe I'm just talking nonsense here.

They’re looking at how tidy his records are, not necessarily how much he owes.

Daniel Torres said:So, I’m on this AT&T plan, right? And man, they hit me immediately with a 300% boost on my balance plus 100% on Maestro installments through my checking account. It's wild—you can basically pull cash out in 12 monthly payments at their ATMs, or just spread any purchase across stores and websites over 12 months. Pretty slick setup if you ask me.

Thanks.

Alright, so what kind of paperwork did they make you dig up, and what was the actual percentage increase you saw after that first check?

Does anyone happen to know if you can get an overdraft approved at JPMorgan Chase by default before your first paycheck actually hits, or do I need to wait a few months and then officially request it?

I caught this about a month ago, and honestly, I didn't walk away with any real impression... if anything, it felt a bit monotonous and just plain tedious. Plus, it feels like the Oscars have turned into nothing more than a giant political circus lately.
Am I an alcoholic? in Psychology & Therapy ·
silentcanyon83 said:Hello everyone! 🙂 I think I might be facing a problem that I don't quite know how to tackle. Alcohol... it seems to be a very frequent presence in my life. On most days, I'll have at least three or four drinks—meaning at least half a bottle of wine. On the weekends, it’s always a full bottle for me. During the week, I'm usually having one, two, or three glasses quite often. I'm starting to worry because that buzzed feeling creates this sense of happiness where I can just "disconnect" from the world, and it feels wonderful...

To give you a little bit of my history... I'm 31, and on paper, everything seems perfectly normal. I finished school, went through college, and have a steady job. But ever since I was a teenager, maybe 15 or 16, when weekend parties and going out first started, I always felt the need to drink until I was completely hammered. Always until I didn't feel so great. Back then, though, it was strictly a weekend thing. That changed about three years ago when I finally moved out of my parents' house into my own apartment. That's when I realized how lovely it is to get drunk all by myself. You don't have to talk to anyone; you just relax and sip away. The trouble is, slowly but surely, this has become more appealing than actually socializing with people. And once I start, it's so difficult to stop, so I often end up drinking alone...

Though, I suppose I am still somewhat "responsible," since I don't overdo it during the work week, mostly because I know I have to be able to function at my job.

People... what should I do? Should I look into Alcoholics Anonymous or something similar? Are there others out there dealing with the same thing? 😵😵

Look, you're 31—it might be time to hit the brakes. You really don't want to reach that stage where you can't even fall asleep without being buzzed.
If you're struggling to sleep, honestly, just take a sleeping pill instead.
The next global COVID-19 recession? in World ·
Joshua Sullivan5 said:Can someone break down what an economic crisis actually looks like and how it ties into this whole COVID-19 mess? Back in March, the stock market absolutely cratered—even worse than back in 2008. So many people lost their jobs. As we all learned how to "dance with the virus," things started to level out. We got used to masks and all those safety protocols. Even though most people who were laid off are still looking for work, it feels like the worst is behind us and things are finally picking up speed again. The second news hit about a vaccine being found, the indices just took off. Is the crisis really over then? If so, who is it actually hitting? Most regular folks haven't even felt the real impact yet. It’s like the Great Reset already happened. They did it at the expense of the little guy—small businesses, families, the hungry and the sick. Between the unemployment spikes, inflation, and the drop in our standard of living, one cycle just closed and the next one is already starting.

I wouldn't call it a reset; it looks more like a total collapse to me. Plus, could you actually explain what these "cycles" are? What exactly is supposed to have started anew?
Seriously though, everyone, can we please stop throwing around terms like "Great Reset" and all that? It’s starting to sound a bit like I’m standing on a street corner preaching about the apocalypse.

I suspect that whole idea about avoiding Hulk is pretty much dead in the water now that they've brought Hulk back into the mix. Honestly, you guys at St. Peter probably aren't going to escape having to deal with Hulk after all.

Kimberly Barnes8 said:Yeah, they actually asked me if I owned my own company too... honestly, it feels like they're just looking to squeeze us employees, who knows... They even went as far as asking if I had any legal liens or frozen accounts. Apparently, they can pull some shady moves through certain local credit unions to shut things down... Thank God I'm clear, haha.

So, practically speaking, you're just paying back the loan to JPMorgan Chase, and you don't end up with anything? Didn't they pull from Rock?

Kimberly Barnes8 said:I know a guy... he helped me sort out my loan at Chase Bank.

The loan actually had nothing to do with my car. They just asked for pay stubs and an employer verification, then the money hit my account... totally legit.

It seems a bit weird, doesn't it? That he’d turn away people who actually own their own businesses?

Look, I’m willing to share the details, but if it were me, I probably wouldn't mess around with these types of lenders. Generally speaking, they require you to own a vehicle and ensure you aren't a business owner... or an executive.

"Unsecured loans up to $45,000 / Personal loans up to $50,000 $0.00.
Must be employed (min. 3 months). Retirees up to age 82.
We help clear outstanding debt from Goldman Sachs. We don't look at your FICO score.
With a car title loan, you keep your car! (It's all legal)!

Well, if you're sending it via certified mail, you'll have to cover the postage upfront. But if you're using an overnight service, you can usually choose whether you or the recipient handles the cost—you just check the corresponding box on the shipping form.
Have we all just become a society of idiots? in Psychology ·

I tried reading through it, but I had to stop because the discussion regarding whether we've all become a society of collective idiots made the topic itself feel... well, pretty idiotic. Am I totally off base here?

Something regarding Coca-Cola 🤔 I just don't get why he's holding such a massive grudge against their soda. 🤦

That said, strictly following the rules, I can’t just make that call unilaterally. Even though I’m technically the one who granted it, I’ll have to bring it up on the forum moderator board for a vote. It really comes down to what we collectively decide together.

Alright, thanks a lot for being reasonable about this. Whatever the rest of the team decides, I'll roll with it.
