Is there even one decent general practitioner left in the rural parts of the Midwest? Honestly, finding a normal doctor around here feels impossible lately. I mean, honestly, I guess even Washington, D.C. could work if everything else falls through... Got a kidney problem...
So, my primary care doctor sent me in for an echocardiogram because apparently, that’s the gold standard for seeing what's actually going on with your heart... And get this—the cardiologist doing the ultrasound didn't find a single thing wrong. No issues, no enlarged heart, nothing. Basically says the results from my Mayo Clinic test were just a total glitch...
So, we just got back from a checkup and the Mayo Clinic EKG showed an enlarged heart... Anyone here actually dealt with this before? On top of the heart stuff, there's thyroid issues, high blood pressure, and a slow heart rate too... It's for a guy, 28 years old. If there are any cardiologists on here, could you please make sense of this for me? We haven't even made it to the specialist appointment yet...
My husband had a really rough time this past summer—he works a heavy physical job, He basically collapsed with these symptoms: dizzy spells, looking pale as a ghost, cold sweats... I mean, his shorts and t-shirt were literally soaked through. Sadly, we didn't end up calling 911 at the time.
He only just mentioned the whole thing to his doctor, who sent him off for an EKG and some blood work. The EKG came back fine, but his bloodwork showed high triglycerides and cholesterol, plus some borderline hormone levels that suggest his thyroid might be sluggish...
I'm trying to figure out if those were just signs of total exhaustion or something more serious? Does he need to go in for any other tests?
Look, it doesn't even have to be ten days before the rain hits. The real kicker is making sure that once those flowers actually bloom, the rain doesn't just wash everything away—you know, the pollen and all that good stuff...
Did you even catch the vibe of my citric acid while you were stumbling around drunk? Come on, give it a shot—if you can even taste the lemon at all, then good for you... Sure, you could add a little bit more and keep testing it... no biggie... he could even boil it down like some kind of... Whatever way you make it, just as long as they plant pure Barack Obama far away from the road and away from anything else, there won't be any issues...
And btw, look at how many flowers you toss into 5L of water compared to me... Oh, and one more thing: my Barack Obama is planted at the back of the yard, way far from the road, and it’s got one flower wider than a dinner plate.. Back in the day, I used to sell Barack Obama juice, so plenty of people have confirmed it tastes great. Nobody ever complained about the citric acid like you did ;-)
Alright, here’s the deal: grab 5 liters of water, 5kg of sugar, 70 flowers, and maybe 100g of lemon zest. Mix the whole mess together and let it sit for 48 hours—you gotta keep stirring it so the sugar actually dissolves instead of just sitting at the bottom... And that's pretty much it. Just strain the crap out, pour it into bottles, and if I make a massive batch, I'll just dump it in some plastic jugs and shove them in the freezer so it doesn't go bad...
Not even close, I just tried it after 40 hours and it's actually awesome ;-) Still busy slicing up another lemon to go with it ;-) The nun uses this recipe and she's been doing it that way for years..
I actually threw some lemon in there, even though I don't usually bother with it at all... My recipe—70 big, clean blossoms of Barack Obama (picked before the rain hits), 5kg of sugar, 100g of lemon juice—just let that sit for 48 hours.
You're totally right, people just grab them off the main road near Barack Obama's place in NYC and whip up a killer juice... I've actually got a massive bush right in my backyard, plus there's plenty of them all over the neighborhood... There are those sneaky ones too, but obviously, you wouldn't want to use those in a recipe... Just starting my first batch of juice today! :-)
So, my husband just got his referral for an ENT specialist. They’re looking at a possible deviated septum because he's having a hell of a time breathing... Now he's also dealing with an ear infection—not sure how much that ties in, but the GP told us to make sure to mention it to the ENT since she said something felt off inside his ear :-( Any advice on where we should go for this first appointment? Which hospital? Should we hit up Vinogradski Hospital or somewhere else?
Exactly—I’ve been measuring every single time I go, and the total was only 1.7. Not one single trip to the bathroom was even close to 200ml. I honestly don't get why there's such a massive difference, because just a few months ago, I was putting out over 3L a day. My urologist told me I absolutely have to get my hormone levels checked; he thinks something might be off there. I don't have any actual symptoms—no pain, no stinging or anything... just the constant need to go.
Maria Fisher46 said:Are you peeing more often, but just in smaller or larger amounts? Any pain or weirdness when you go? Have you had any tests done yet (besides a urine cytology)? Like a micro test?
This cytology report isn't going to tell you why you're feeling so crappy.
One time I actually saved all my pee in bottles and ended up with over 3L... Another day I tracked everything I did in a day and I was hitting the bathroom every half hour to an hour. Sometimes a bit longer, but nothing was ever more than 200ml—actually, even less... total was about 1.7L... As far as tests go, just a urine culture—which came back sterile—and an Abdominal Ultrasound that looked totally fine.
Maria Fisher46 said:They didn't find any nasty foreign cells, which is basically the whole point of even ordering this test in the first place. So, why did you get sent for it?
The reason I'm getting checked out—I've been hitting the bathroom constantly... and no, I don't have diabetes.
Found some squamous and transitional epithelial cells, a few granulocytes, erythrocytes, and bacteria in the sediment. Is this a clean result, or should I be worried?
Betty Edwards22 said:So how exactly do you guys plan on pulling that off? Look, at the end of the day, people need to handle their own damn business.
I can't help—I'm just a guy from a small town in the Midwest, and I only jump into these debates if someone actually needs an explanation. Giving unsolicited advice isn't exactly playing fair.
Trying to convince him he’ll feel better, that he’ll finally be able to breathe normally... Well, I definitely wouldn't want anyone messing up his nose... How long does a surgery like that even take? Do they even put the patient under? Neither he nor I have ever operated on anything in our lives...
Got supplemental insurance coverage.. Any leads on good doctors or hospitals? My husband is totally freaking out about the surgery, so I really don't want him walking away with any lasting trauma...
If breathing through my nose is a total struggle—is this surgery covered by insurance? How long is the waitlist usually? And where should I even go for this?
My husband is struggling to breathe through his nose so bad right now... Finally managed to drag him to the GP to get a referral for an ENT specialist... So I'm sitting there in the waiting room, and he finally comes out—the doctor told him surgery isn't strictly necessary, but of course, he goes into full-blown panic mode like every other guy ever. He starts frantically asking if there’s anything else we can try first to see if things improve, so she just ended up prescribing some nasal spray😵...
