I have to be honest—and I say this with some serious regret— 😁 I gotta admit, I actually watched it. Maid in Manhattan I mean, I honestly figured if Ralph Finnes is in a movie, he just can't be bad—it’s practically a rule at this point. So, anyway... what am I even telling you guys? If you really don't have to—or if nobody is forcing your hand with a free ticket or something—just skip it. 😉 Honestly, just skip it. Don't even bother. There are way better ways to waste ninety minutes of your life than sitting through that. 😉

Filtered water: Is it actually worth it?
in Health ·
I’ve been back at my parents' place for over a year now, and I mostly just stick to water from a Britney Spears filter—but honestly? When I’m out at work, hitting up coffee shops, or hanging with friends, I just drink straight from the tap. I don't notice any real difference, though I guess when the filter is brand new, the taste is slightly... different. Just a tiny bit.
Anyway, I’m obsessed with water. Like, I drink it by the gallon. It’s easily my favorite thing to consume. I actually have a huge glass sitting right next to my keyboard at this very second. 🙂 🙂
JPMorgan Chase. 😁

Okay, totally misread you there. 😉

Look, Joy Division just isn't a band you can call "lame" by default. 😉

I lived in a city with plenty of that stuff for a long time. 😉
Just thinking back... there were those two tracks—Robbie Williams, Millennium and that same guy 😁 , No Regrets. 😉 😛 😎

Definitely Torn by Natalie... 🙄 😁
A few years back, I was stuck for weeks with that "I'm a big big girl, in a big, big world..." track playing on loop in my head... 😁 😁 😁 Seriously, I’ll be riding the subway and suddenly realize I’m just muttering the lyrics under my breath... 😁 😎

I’m not totally sure about the throat cancer thing, but I remember reading somewhere—it was ages ago, so don't hold me to it—that playing the sax can lead to a stroke at a really young age because of the way you have to blow and how much strain you put on your lungs. Don't ask me to explain the science though, I clearly have no clue.

The funniest part about this whole thing is how Joe just doesn't get where he messed up... He went on record 🙄 🙄
claiming that the night technical editor is a "complete moron" and basically saying he could "kill him with his own hands." It’s wild—like, it doesn't even matter that Joe is straight-up lying to his readers; he's more obsessed with the fact that the truth actually got out there.
As for those pre-written stories, The New York Post is probably the world champion at it. Before summer, there was this small show at The Factory where The Stooges were supposed to play, but they never showed up. Fast forward to the next day, and you've got this report claiming "the incredible Stooges absolutely electrified an already hyped crowd at The Factory," or some nonsense like that. 🙄 😲 😁

Movies with great soundtracks

Honestly, one of my absolute favorite soundtracks lately has gotta be The Curse of the Jade Scorpio. 👍
I’ve been digging a bunch of others too... stuff like Snatch, Pulp Fiction, and even Tommy... 🙂

I’m totally with you there. 🙂 Filmic was alright, I guess, but honestly? I can barely recall a single scene from it. 😕 And that was only like two weeks ago. It’s just one of those movies you put on to zone out after a brutal week—nothing more, nothing less.
The only redeeming quality for me is that the lead actress didn't go through some ridiculous Hollywood transformation—you know, where they force a diet or a crazy gym montage on them just to look different. 👍
As for all those mindless stereotypes the movie leans on... whether it's about the Greeks, the Irishmen (wait, is he an Irishman?), or Americans... 🤮 That part really rubbed me the wrong way. 🙄

👍 Honestly—👍 👍 though,
I mean, it’s pretty obvious if you think about it.

I know exactly what you were getting at 😉 so don't even sweat it. Remember when I suggested that to you back on the old forum—you know, on your own thread over on Reddit? 🙂

Thanks for all the input on those creams, everyone. You guys pretty much confirmed exactly what I was thinking. 😉
So, if we're skipping the creams, what’s actually worth doing—at least as a preventative measure? 😕

Man, you guys are really going at it today. 😉
I don't really have the bandwidth to get into a massive debate right now, so I’ll just throw this out there—(Lucu, since I see you're already rocking the 😉 vibe, but everyone else is welcome too, of course 🙂)—about these creams packed with Q10. They all market themselves as proven ways to fight wrinkles.
I remember reading somewhere in a health magazine that once those lines actually set in, they aren't really "fixable" or something you can just wipe away. Like, you can tighten things up with a facelift, sure, but creams are basically just there to stop them from getting deeper. Meanwhile, the whole beauty industry keeps hitting us over the head with Q10 like it's some kind of magic fountain of youth. 😕
Honestly, I'm not really sure what to make of it all.
