Look, humility isn't about being a doormat or letting people walk all over you. It’s actually the exact opposite. It’s just your way of admitting, "Hey, I don't have all the answers," and then actually keeping an open mind so you can learn the stuff you didn't know before.
Melissa Rogers4 said:I just don't understand why you can't move past the fact that we aren't all going to blindly swallow your spiritual sales pitch and act impressed by someone trying to sell us thin air. You'd think you'd be used to the idea that we don't all smoke the same kind of weed 🤔 . Regarding humility, I'm genuinely curious how being "more tolerant than a tree" or "lower than the grass by the road" actually works in practice. It’s one thing to write about having an experience, but experiencing something isn't the same as actually being it... and that line from the book seems to be talking about a state of consciousness, not just a fleeting (and likely projected) feeling...
I know a guy who rents out caves in the Himalayas for Samadhi. I can put you in touch—he might give you a discount. Once you actually hit Samadhi, your sense of humility will make much more sense.
So, you need to rent a cave to experience Samadhi? Are you for real? And not even on your own terms, either—you actually have to pay a landlord for it!? Where on earth do you people come from... seriously...🤣
So apparently I'm running a spiritual scam now, and you're even bringing my mother into it ☕
Melissa Rogers4, could you please clarify what you mean by that?
And just to be crystal clear, I was totally joking about the cave and the renting part.
Melissa Rogers4 said:What have you all gone through? I wanted to start a thread about humility. Honestly, hearing about someone else's real-life experiences feels so much more meaningful than reading history books about eras we could never truly understand ourselves...
Melissa Rogers4, what part of this are you not getting? I know a guy who rents out caves in the Himalayas for samadhi sessions. I can get you his info—he'll probably give you a discount. Once you actually experience samadhi firsthand, maybe then the whole concept of humility will finally click for you.
Interesting. I’ve sat through a few workshops myself, though nothing super deep. Look, the process looks solid enough—I can see the quality there—but honestly? I just don't have the drive for this kind of thing. If I could get my hands on some ibogaine, now that would be a calling. But regarding what's actually out there right now? I grabbed coffee with this guy in Chicago recently, and he just didn't blow me away. Maybe a better opportunity will pop up down the road, or maybe I'll just end up booking a session with him anyway. He’s a decent enough dude, but there’s just something about him that rubs me the wrong way.
Look, I’ve got nothing but respect for the raw knowledge and experiences shared here regarding LSD, mushrooms, and especially ibogaine. I’ve done my fair share of deep dives into the research myself. But honestly? It’s a whole different ballgame when you actually step out of the trip and back into the real world—dealing with the grind of everyday life without any external substances to lean on. That’s where the real work happens: integrating everything so it becomes part of who you are. At the end of the day, we all have our own built-in pharmacy right inside us, completely natural.
It’s honestly such a shame that we don't have some kind of legitimate, natural wellness clinic somewhere in the States that would legally allow people to pursue healing and self-growth through these methods. From what I’ve gathered, plenty of folks have managed to kick heroin for good without a massive struggle after going through ibogaine treatment.

I have vivid memories of seeing the world through that lens, but a memory is certainly not the same as the actual experience in the present moment.
I am unsure if there are any specific techniques that could pull that perspective back up from the depths of the subconscious. 🤔
Meditation and similar practices seem to have the opposite effect on me—they detach and nullify—whereas magic tends to strengthen the ego. This, however, feels like something else entirely...
It’s not that the perspective is hiding; it’s that you’re the one hiding from it now. As for "techniques" or tools for self-work? There are a million of them out there. You just need to find the one that actually clicks for you.
Look, if you actually get that this perfection hasn't gone anywhere—it's still right there waiting—then the quickest way to experience it all over again is through cutting.

Look, I get the rules, but people are gonna do it anyway, and frankly, who cares?
The guy has already been convicted by the court of public opinion thanks to that video. In my book, that’s pretty much enough.
Let them film whatever they want; honestly, if they want to actually make it in this country, they need to learn from their mistakes. As for that absolute menace? Throw him straight in federal prison where he belongs.
Honestly, 500 just feels low to me. I’m being dead serious here ☕
I mean, things have only just started getting good, and where would we even go from here? There's still so much more to come, especially since the Green Party only really got their footing recently

Look, Sanja... maybe try using a little common sense before you start typing, huh? 🙂

You're mixing up Zillow with the law of cause and effect—that's just plain old karma.
Most of the time we fail at attracting what we actually want because we’re too busy clinging to our old baggage. We haven't cleared any space for the good stuff! Truth is, that "new" thing we're chasing? We probably already have it; we're just too blind to realize it.
Raymond Walker5 said:I think silentskipper14 hit the nail on the head there. Meditation is such a game-changer. And honestly, you don't even need to carve out a full thirty minutes; sometimes just a quick one-minute reset is plenty. The real trick is just finding a way to quiet the noise in your head, find that inner stillness, and just let all those racing thoughts drift away.
Exactly, but you also have to actually put in the work until you hit that zone. If you go into it treating it like some massive mountain you have to climb, you’re gonna feel totally defeated the second you try it. What I mean is, you need to at least sit down, back straight, throw on some earplugs from CVS, $0.67, close your eyes, and if it isn't working—and trust me, it might not work right away—just stay in that position for maybe 20 or 30 minutes. Slowly, your thoughts will start to slow down, then space out, and eventually, you'll find that focus...👍

I find myself wondering if this planet is even meant to be a place of tranquility, or if we are destined to be an eternal battlefield for the forces of good and evil. Is fighting for what is right even worth the effort? For those who are spiritually inclined—those who have found connection with God, Jesus, or whoever they choose to follow as they seek to transcend this physical realm—does our duty lie in rising above this world, or in staying deeply embedded within its struggles? Perhaps this entire existence is merely a dream, and God is simply waiting for us to wake up and return to Him.
I don't think peace will ever happen, unless the admin can fix it...
Oh, it’ll happen, "soon"—if things keep going the way they are. We're looking at another ExxonMobil-style disaster or another massive terrorist attack here in the West, and then, finally, humanity will realize we're all part of the same nation. You can't fight fire with fire; you just end up with a bigger damn fire. That said, the future isn't set in stone. Everything can change, but you have to look at the odds. Ten or fifteen years ago, there was a 95% chance that a bomb made in Iran would be detonated right here in the USA, but that specific threat isn't even on the table anymore. As for global peace? On an individual level, peace is a choice you make—usually after you've been through absolute hell.
