I’ve cleared it with the mod, so we're pulling those red cards. Just a heads-up though, the mods can still drop a yellow if you break the subforum rules—they tend to be a bit more strict over there, so there's really no need for that kind of language. I totally get the frustration, but let's keep the vocabulary a bit cleaner.
Whether or not anyone gets a yellow card is entirely up to the moderators.

Look, 😉
At the end of the day, all moderators are just regular folks on the Reddit community. They just happen to have a few extra tools in their belt, but they're still part of the group. There’s really no need to treat them like they're untouchable.
I get what you mean about the "mod-to-user" thing, but we try not to make it feel too stuffy or corporate. After all, today's regular user could be tomorrow's mod, and vice versa. I'm not trying to dodge the actual issue here; I'm just explaining the vibe we aim for.
coastallynx13 said:It seems more appropriate to say, "I kindly ask that you write..." so long as you are acting as a representative of the staff here on Reddit. To maintain a clear distinction between regular users and those in positions of authority, I believe a certain level of decorum is quite necessary. I sincerely hope you take this critique to heart, if only as an opportunity to refine your own cultural, moral, and professional standards. Much appreciated!
If I can chime in here... most people on Reddit don't really use formal titles or "sir/ma'am" with each other; it's usually just a casual "hey you."

Not exactly, but we're looking at a core principle here. It's something that needs to be hashed out not just with the mods, but with Anderson himself, so please bear with us.

The point here isn't about handing out diagnoses to random people on this forum—I'm trying to illustrate just how absurd it is to advocate for what would essentially be official oversight of forum members' mental health, and the sheer chaos that ensues when you allow public diagnosing.
Every single one of us is perfectly free to sit at home and diagnose ourselves privately, or engage in those informal, off-forum sessions where we basically have "Gossip about Forum Members, Vol. 15." We are also free to report anything we deem necessary to "the proper authorities" whenever we feel like it. Honestly, I don't understand why anyone would expect or demand that the forum administration take on that specific responsibility.
However, any attempt to lower the bar below a strict ban and sanctioning of all forum-based diagnostics would be pointless, harmful, and dangerous for this community—regardless of how certain a self-proclaimed diagnostician might feel that "everything is obvious." This entire tedious thread exists because of this simple fact, and changing it would pose a greater threat to the forum than any individual user ever could.
BTW, what are we going to do about the CUT in adminNice's post, where she clearly writes "gone crazy" without any provocation whatsoever? 🤣
That’s exactly why the thread was cleaned up and a warning was issued; the topic itself is fine, it's just about keeping those boundaries set.

Keith Lee2 said:You’re honestly forcing my hand to be blunt and tell you that I’m not impressed with your reading comprehension, which was pretty obvious during that back-and-forth with Nicole.🤷
Just as a quick reminder, I've posted a few times before filing a complaint about the card issues, which moderator @el ninjo basically ignored, and I still haven't received a response from any instance here:
You're really pushing me to just be straight with you: this is your own issue. Just because of how I talk to someone else doesn't give you any right to second-guess decisions made five months ago, long before there was even any correspondence with Nicole or anyone else.
If these are the "new developments" you're bringing up, then I can already tell you that your complaint isn't going anywhere.
EDIT: Regarding your link, it just shows: Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms.
We already spent plenty of time digging into your situation back in February. What's actually changed since then to make things different now?
Are you talking about my response to @nicole2007? I don't see how she has anything to do with your case. Me being online right now is just a total coincidence.
Nicholas King said:I’d love to see an example of a troll post even worse than that YouTube link, or an insult more intense than calling someone paranoid—something that just got wiped without a ban. Especially since it happened in the "question for administration" thread, which was pretty specific. But I know I won't get anywhere there, so let me just ask again: if an observer jumping into an argument with you and posting a YouTube link to call bluecyclist64 a paranoid nutjob (which they doubled down on later) gets "deleted without penalty," does that mean everyone else can do the same? Just give me a straight "yes" or "no" without any sarcasm or ad hominema about having no life or being bored.
If not, how is anyone supposed to know when a post will just vanish without a trace versus when they'll actually catch a ban for trolling and insults?
You’ve got a chance. Just hang out on the PZK long enough and you'll spot a post exactly like that, right before it disappears into thin air without a single penalty.
Like I said, posts get deleted here even if they technically count as insults because this place acts like a pressure valve; sometimes things just get cleared out to vent the tension instead of handing out bans. That goes for both the mods and the regular users.
When it comes to trolling, the mods on PZK scrub way more troll posts than this one with the YouTube link—even outright insults. It doesn't really matter who posted them, whether it was the staff or just regular users. That’s why the post was taken down without any penalties being handed out.
Yeah, we hear you loud and clear. It’s actually happened before where someone drops a question in English and people jump in to help. Sometimes those posts just get buried in the feed, but that doesn't mean they're being nuked. So, if you post in English, don't worry—it's not an automatic deletion.
hollowpilot13 said:I post photos of kitchens from Italy and you guys just delete them. Then I try to reach out via DM for info and get nothing back.
Jeffrey Garcia6, look, if I’m getting under your skin, that’s kind of on you. If someone bugs me, I just grab some chamomile tea and move on with my day.☕
hollowpilot13, I went through fadedsailor932's posts and everything lines up exactly with what he said. Your claims just don't hold water. Unless you've got actual proof, we're done here.
Since I'm not looking to dump a bunch of random threads here, I'm locking this topic down.
As for the language situation, we'll leave it up to the moderators to decide how to handle things involving Mexican, Canadian, or any other dialect. If things get messy, the admin team will step in to sort out any language barriers or misunderstandings.
Patrick Miller3 said:I actually corrected those awkward word constructions imported from the East right there in your quote. That's why I don't want my kids on this forum—so they don't pick up those Serbianisms that frankly make my blood boil. 🙂
No worries, just drop their usernames and we'll ban them right away.
