Ever since they finally shook off that parasite Alonso, I reckon McLaren Racing might actually start flying.

This is just a totally Vettel-esque tactical play, and honestly, a pretty brilliant one at that 🙏
It’s basically killing three birds with one stone 🙂
1. He gets the jump on Lewis Hamilton, but he's right there next to him...
2. Kimi starts right in front of Lewis Hamilton, and well, we all know how Kimi starts...
3. Kimi is signing that new contract with Ferrari tonight 🙂
The race is clearly going to wrap up with Vettel, Kimi, and Hamilton in the top spots ☕
stormybadger8 said:Yeah, it's all lovely and wonderful with this whole idea of equality and blah blah blah, but I mean, what were those kids even thinking during qualifying with that ridiculous nonsense about Vettel working on the slipstream for Kimi? I guess they don't really get it either...
Roger Wright94 said:Vettel? I’ll have to check out the replays later, but honestly, I think Kimi's the main reason this went sideways. He had a rough start. Vettel was definitely faster, but he just couldn't find a way past him—there wasn't enough room. Then Kimi ends up slowing him down again, and that's how you get the collision.

mellowtiger83 said:I guess Alonso really earned some respect in my eyes today after he totally called out Magnussen's sloppy driving. I mean, the guy basically lunged past him on the formation lap right before the Parabolica, which leads straight onto the main straight, instead of just chilling, slowing down, and waiting his turn behind Alonso to maybe snag a bit of that McLaren slipstream.
Alonso looked pretty ticked off, honestly; it felt like he did that move on purpose, which ended up messing up the lap for both himself and Magnussen, even though he probably would've preferred a massive monster tow later on🙂.
Maybe the kid needs to realize he actually has to wait his turn when hitting the Parabolica.

Man, this guy is jumping around like they just clinched a double world championship or something. 😁
So much about who he's actually rooting for, I guess. 🙂

Kimi is (relatively speaking) a pretty chill guy. But...
The thing with him is that over the last decade, he’s become way more famous for his wild outbursts and random nonsense than for his actual driving or podium finishes.
Just look at the crowd. Everyone is basically waiting to see what kind of crazy stuff he'll say over the team radio before they even think about betting on a P1-P2-P3 finish.
So what's the deal now?
I honestly think he's doing just fine at Ferrari. I don't know if he'd actually be better off in any other team, to be honest. He's pulling in massive money for those kinds of results.
Is anyone actually stopping him from driving faster? I doubt it. Everyone wants him to pick up the pace—the team, the fans, even me.
Trying to paint him as some sort of victim at Ferrari is just total nonsense.

The wheel seemed totally fine. At first glance, I feel like they could have just eased him along a bit further to get him clear of the track.
